The best OC the Ravens have had in the last decade - Kubiak - was a front office hire forced on Harbs. One wonders if Harbs likes to be surrounded by "yes men", both coaches and players. No coincidence that the guys that brought fire and passion to the SB season were promptly let go (Boldin, Pollard) or retired (Lewis, Reed). Since then, one has to think Harbs has influenced the draft, taking "character guys" like Arthur Brown and Matt Elam over question marks like Vontaze Burfict and Tyronne Matthieu (both of whom otherwise fit the Ravens mold).

I think Harbs is a great guy, and an outstanding leader and coach. As such, he should be more willing and able to accept stronger personalities and rely on what he brings to the table to focus and lead guys with more upside.

The only reason Kubiak came to Baltimore was because of Harbs - Kubiak said that not some post on the message board. You're making that up.

Where's Pollard now? signed by NOBODY because he can't play. Did you not see Burfict personally LOSE the play-off game against the Squealers. How's he doing this year? Leading the league in tackles? 5 seasons later and he's accomplished what? Every team passed on Matthieu at least twice and EVERY team passed on Burfict. Lewis & Reed were HOF players - that's like saying why can't Flacco, West & Perriman be more like Montana, Rice & Emmitt Smith....

And I can't believe you're calling SSS, Yanda, Weddle & Jernnigan "weak personalities". Bet you wouldn't say that to them face to face.....

More mindless troll drivel.......

Hey John, I thought when you fired Cam, that was pretty ballsy. But man, having to do it twice in one head coaching tenure takes some huge cojones. I'm liking your "do whatever it takes" attitude. Much respect!

Don't stop there!!

Now, walk across the hall, jump up on Ozzie's desk and demand he find some Freakin linemen that can pass block.

Then, walk down the hall, crack Dean in the back of the head and let him know he better find some pass rush.

Finally, cross the hall and chew Jerry a new one about the coverage teams.

It wouldn't hurt to punch a few holes in that hallway wall along the way for emphasis. LOL

Wish I could give you more pluses, but we're only allowed one each.  LOL, would love to hear all this on Raven's news like it actually happened.  The punching the wall bit is a possibility though.

I do think that Joe had a lot to do with Trestman getting canned, but I doubt if he was the only veteran who had something to say about it.

Thanks, Harbs. It's been overdue. This has been a test post since I had forgotten my password. Nice to be back. Think Harbs should be feeling warmer in his posterior area due to a hotter seat than he's been used to. I'm not, however, one of those calling for his head on a platter yet, despite his obvious, long held deficiencies.
