Merged: Ravens Fire Marc Trestman

Sooner we get rid of him the better.  He is an old man who just wants to get paid for something... he knows he doesn't have much and his stuff doesn't work.

Marc Trestman should not be our offensive coordinator. QB coach? Offensive assistant? Offensive adviser? Ok, maybe...

He'll have his moments. Fans will give him time and their patience. However, once the honeymoon period ends and reality bubbles to the surface, I think everyone will begin to see why this was a bad fit. Especially, after having success under Gary Kubiak and being teased by what a real NFL offense should look like. Trestman will be a liability if he can't get the players to buy-in or if he strays from the foundation we built last year. Kubiak's genius was in his simplicity - the complete opposite of Marc Trestman; whom, will hit gold from time to time but is bound to over-think his way into a lot of costly decisions. Which will get old rather quickly.

As long as his duties are relegated to play calling and Joe Flacco - our offensive staff will adjust accordingly. If he oversteps his boundaries anywhere else and tries to change the recipe, this offense will regress.

I'm not saying this to be pessimistic or skeptical...I'm just saying most of you here probably aren't too familiar with Trestman's schemes and coaching style - the more familiar you become well, I think the more impatient you'll grow.

However, the optimist in me realizes our defense will be the strength of our team moving forward and as long as we don't abandon the run heavy concept, we'll be right back in the mix of things next year. Just caution yourselves on expectation from Trestman.

Bye bye Trestman . A good chance he gets canned tomorrow. 60-40 for a firing .

If you wanna try to salvage this season , we need a new play caller that is not a dink and dunk artist .

The biggest complaint Bears fans had was on 3 and 8 , receivers would run 5 yard patterns or he would have a designed 3 yard throw to a running back , praying he would get 5 yards on his own .

Fire Trestman. Promote Morhinweg to OC because he should know the playbook. Hire Jim Zorn as QB coach because you still need a QB coach and I don't think your OC should double up as the QB coach.

47 pass attempts.

19 rushing attempts.

Passing the ball 71% of the time, running it 29%

In a game decided by 6 points???? In a game where your starting HB was averaging 8.6 YPC???? Disgusting and inexcusable.

Harbaugh is too loyal to his bum coaching staff. Its been a problem throughout his entire tenure. I highly doubt he will fire anybody this season, and the team will suffer for it.

After reading some stats on Twitter, I'm officially on the bandwagon. I'm done. Finished. I want Trestman out of here. Never thought I would join that bandwagon since I'm opposed to mid-season firings but today put the nail in the coffin. I know that what I say or believe wouldn't change a thing but I'v had it. Either now or by seasons end, we should move on from Marc Trestman.

Cam was fired and it worked out. Marc can and should go, too.

Fire Marc Trestman!!!!! He is the worse play caller in the league. Terrance West was on pace to rush for over 150 yard and at least 2 touchdowns. What happen here the 40 passes again. SMH!!! Fire Marc Trestman!!!! Tonight!!!!

Is it me or does his play calling not fit the WR group we have? These underneath plays would be great for smaller more shifty WRS who could move well after the catch.

I blame that thread posted here about Ravens vs Giants before we even played the Redskins for our loss today. Jinxed us. That is clearly why we lost.

That is precisely one of his problems. He gets a little leeway there given how crap our OL is.

But that is not even his biggest problem....and that IS a big problem.

This situation with Trestman & the offense is considerably worse than the Cam situation .

Joe appears extremely unhappy and I think a change will be made

Joe Flacco has thrown the ball 98 times and accumulated only 508 yards over the last two weeks. That's 5.2 yards per attempt.

He should be pissed too about the lack of deep balls against Man Coverage, both at his coaches and OL.

You can tell he's frustrated, he just won't come out and say it. He probably doesn't want to step on anyone's toes.

Harbaugh is too stingy when it comes to firing his friends. As much as I would like to see a change at OC, I'm really iffy that it'll actually happen.

He doesn't look happy, I'll say this, we didn't look this bad with Cameron here. At least we put points on the board. The OL wasn't even that great either and our WRs weren't better than this year.

I would wait till the bye week if I were him. Gives you an extra week to prepare. Either that or you just fire him by the seasons end but regardless he has to go if this keeps up. He can still win himself over because there is time.

What would you consider to be his biggest problem?

He is more then frustrated . He wants major changes and that probably includes a  coaching change.

He told ESPN the offense is " embarrassing ".

When does Joe ever make statements like that ?

No offense to those of you running around screaming the end of days are here but this team is still very talented and will be in the playoffs contending at the end of the year. We have a run game, we just don't know how to use it yet and don't forget Defense wins championships...ours is top 3. You can jump off the bandwagon now but as painful as these last 2 losses have been we're still built for the playoffs. But i get it, we keep finding new ways to make it tough on ourselves. Which is becoming overly frustrating. We should have never signed Jimenez. My thing is how many games are we going to have to sacrifice before we wake up and learn to get out of own way?? I know Harbaugh is all about overcoming adversity and all but when it's self induced...yeah just a waste of time.

Hopefully we snap out of it before it's too late. Just remember our SB run started with a change at OC. Harbaugh has already proven he can make the tough call if it comes down to it...

with all that being said KICK THE FIELDGOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is definitely telling the truth when he says it's embarrassing. He doesn't, but that should tell you how bad the situation is.

I have been wearing rose colored glasses with Trestman for too long now. He has killed our offense this entire season. No pass goes farther than 5 yards until less than 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarters. He abandons the run game when West was playing like a mad man and had 97 on 11 carries. You do not abandon the run. He is doing to our offense what he did in Chicago and it is even worse now because we didn't have as much talent as that Bear's team did on offense.

When your quarterback has to advocate for more deep passes in a few of the games to the offensive coordinator that is when you know this is an issue. We had the run game going and we only ran it like what 19 times???

I am getting tired of the dink-dunk play calling and abandoning the run against the Redskins especially when West is really chugging along and moving the chains.

I don't think we will have to wait much longer before Trestman is gone .

He is the worst OC we have ever had .

I knew when Kubiak left we were gonna be in trouble with Trestman . One of my diehard Bears friends was tickled pink when he left Chicago . Why ? The same dink and dunk playbook .

Joe is not a dink and dunk  QB!!

Something definitly has to change because we could very easily be 5-0 right now and should at least be 4-1

There's no way Baltimore should be 3-2!!!! Those two losses fall heavily on the offensive coordinator (Marc Trestman).. I strongly believe he should be fired. The run game has be on the last two games and yet he vere away from it.. Then today to go for it on 4 & 12 for no reason that I can think of. Stupid!!!! Two back to back losses at home against two of the worst defenses in the league... Baltimore's defense is awesome!! Could be and will be with a different offensive coordinator!!!
