Wake up call and what needs to get fixed

6 posts in this topic

The last 2 games have been hard both home losses.

Do you other fans think this could serve as a wake-up call to the to the team both coaches and players?

This team has got to work on so many things....

here is just a few problem areas in my opinion...

O-line protection, ball security, catching balls, throwing accuracy, pass rush, decision making and play calling just to name a few Can you guys / gals think of any more?

So whats your guys / gals opinion do the Ravens wake-up if so is it this week or later in the season ?

Special teams has been awful.

O-line has not even good Zuttah especially, but no one not even Yanda has been as good as normal with Stanley probably being the best of the bunch.

Pass rush has not been great. Suggs is coming round from injury and getting better. Dumervil has been awful not get pressure, Jernigan has been the best pass rusher.

Coaching decisions going for it instead of taking points and the inactives I don't get Will Davis having been inactive while Wright has struggled also I don't get Judon being inactive as he has been our best edge rusher.

Playcalling seriously we are unbalanced on pass to be the 2nd team to throw 700 plus times. The 1st 3gmes the run game was awful and today West averages almost 9 yards a carry and we run 14 times total when we ran the ball on the 1st drive we scored. 3-1 ratio 46 passes 14 runs. Also46 attempts for 210 yards is pathetic I'm tired of 3 yard dump offs to TE or RB on 3rd and 15 I get if no one is open but we have speed Wallace Perriman Moore and we took what 2 shots and they were on the last drive

I'm sure there is more but that's my rant for now

Go back to good ol fundamentals. Like Belicheck said "Do your job"!

Pass rushers: Get to the QB

Secondary:Communicate

WRs: Catch the ball before you try to run.

QB:Take what the defense gives you.

Coaches: Decision making and in-game adjustments.

I agree with all your points. On special teams, imo, it has been more on the punt coverage unit than anything else. In particular, one player, Aiken.

Last week he runs into the returner on a fair catch then on another. he totally whiffs on a tackle by blowing by the returner which sprung the return to the 6. This week again he blows by the returner setting up the touchdown return. Just getting there quickly doesn't help all that much if you can't adjust and make the tackle.

Just my observation.
