Was anyone else screaming "run the ball" in their last three possessions? West was tearing them up and they just stopped using him. It made no sense. I can see under two minutes but not when you have 10 minutes and only need a TD to take the lead.

I was screaming that after the first quarter ended. Trestman is worse than cancer, at least with cancer you have a chance of getting rid of it.

like MANY other more competent fans have said if it's not broken, why change it?

for once today running game was going great (with west, because dixon was understandably useless and allen nothing more than a backup imo) ...why getting away from it?

for all (not just purple dog) blaming joe for his mistakes...guys you DO have to understand the guy is 9 months removed from a double knee tear...it usually takes 12 to 15 months to regain playing shape and until the following year to not feel anything...give him a break

i see NOBODY pointing out the ABSOLUTE lack of pass rush...

and nobody arguing about the complete uneffectiveness of doom...he clearly is not 100% yet...so why not letting him heal more and continue to play judon???

and...where in the world is Will Davis???

and perriman HAS to make the first half's catch AND he has to have the presence of mind of dragging his first freaking foot on the ground... that's one of the first things they teach you when you play WR at peewee level...

there's more but i'll stop here...

Purple dawg is a troll that hates Joe. Just ignore him.

1. I feel like we are trying to win every game by a field goal. we get a little lead and take our foot off of the gas and then give us a score and scurry to try to win in as the clock runs out. Take the handcuffs off and let the offense play.

2. Utilize the weapons we have. Waller, Perriman, Moore, We may need to institute 4 WR sets, 5 WR sets, Two TE sets ect.... to take more advantage of the talent that we have.

3. I know if has been effective so far but I hate the bend but dont break defensive approach. I am watching teams like the Vikings and Broncos attack offenses and win with Defense and it reminds me of Raven football. Wish we would make our defense more aggressive and more fearsome again. (they are playing well but I think we have the talent to play better)

4. The OL injuries scare me and are killing us. We need to protect Joe... Maybe two TE sets will help to offset some of those injuries...IIDK

5. As good as our ST looked in week 1-3 - they have looked that bad in weeks 4 & 5... and have probably been the difference between our wins and loses.

This offense is terrible at this point....I mean we don't commit to the run. Trestman runs the ball to get it out of the way instead of it being away to move the ball. Flacco throwing the ball 25+ = losses. We should pass the ball off the run. Running the ball will help us gain some sort of O-line continuity. 3rd and longs are too much to overcome for this offense so we need to stay ahead of the chains. The offense died when SSS went down it took the air out of the sails of qb/oc. Great success early going at 3rd/4th skins cb's. Now on to the defense Suggs and Dumervill are providing little to no pass rush. Judon, Correra, and Carter need more reps to provide something different. Jimmy Smith and Webb shouldn't be covering wr/te's one on one. They are obvious coverage liabilities but we haven't developed or drafted Cb's with ball skills to displace these guys. Special teams failed which is foreign because they are generally solid. We were outcoached again you don't have a guy paid to kick the ball thru uprights to throw a pass. Leave the offense out and make plays they are paid to make. This team needs to get control of what they are before a very good start goes to waste.

You people who are making the calls and giving the plays out to the Ravens are the ones who lost the game today, you lost the game!!! To stop running the ball when it was working, was just completely dumb, and then you kept throwing the ball when it was not working, hopeful wishing, will not win games for you, only doing what works will, and not what you want to do, because most of the time that's just a mess and you'll loose anyhow!!! What I mean by that is, if you keep trying something and it doesn't work anymore you have to adapt to the situation and change, you have to find out what works, but that's only if you want to win!!! Football is not a game for foolishness it's a game of strategy and adapting, and if the coach and the GM can't see that it's not working, than they are blind and the Ravens will just continue to loose!!! Because you have to adapt to every other team because every team is different, and what you did last week may not work this week!!! And the reason for that is the other teams knows exactly what you are going to do and prepares for that because they know you won't change because of your hardheadedness, so you'll continue to loose until you change, can you change, will you change??? If you don't you will continue to loose!!! Understand you have to be fluid and adapt to the situation at hand, and not rigid and unyielding for rigid and unyielding will break sooner or later, and once it breaks, it is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men!!! Hardheadedness does not do anything but get folks in trouble, and once you get in trouble it's hard to get out, that quotation can be applied to many situations that people get themselves into because of hardheadedness!!! Oh By The Way GO RAVENS!!!

Dropping the ball when it's in your hands is a no-no, OL can't get anyone off Flacco, and that's not a good thing, to many missed thrown balls by Flacco, and the defense is in serious trouble for we are getting ready to get into the teeth of the schedule and we can't seem to put much pressure on the opposing teams QB!!! Right now we better figure something out and make it work, or we will be 5-11 again

At this point going through what I thought was 5 very winnable games 3 of which were at the Bank to be 3 -2 going against 5 weak defenses and not seeing ANY improvement is on everyone. These next 2 games are crucial for this team. Must wins to make up for these last 2 loses. My feeling right now is 6 - 10 season. Not a happy fan right now.

i just saw a pic on that fake FG Justin lined up as a left footed kicker and the side he through to was staked. Harb's seat is starting to get warm. IMO.

Whatever happened to the famous quote that hangs on one of the walls of the war room. "The best predictor of future behavior is … past behavior".

Who was the genius that hired Trestman? Pees? and Harbaugh is showing more and more that his success as a HC was due to Ray Lewis and Ed Reed's leadership.

I am forced to listen to the game and as soon as the announcers seen him lined up left footed they knew it was going to be a fake, Im sure the entire Defense did also.. I love the play call but I just wish he would of lined up the right way.

Except Joe did rise to the occassion in the 4th quarter.  He threw the pass that could have, should have, and needed to be caught.  And it wasn't.  He threw it multiple times this fourth quarter, in fact.  And he did it LAST WEEK, too.  Now that's not an excuse for why the offense sleepwalks through the rest of the game, but on the do-or-die 4th quarter win-or-lose drive, Flacco is the guy delivering, while his teammates drop the ball (literally).

Unbelievable to me how much of the discussion is on blaming Flacco for everything, when the play designs & calls are not working, he has no choice but to throw it short of the sticks because nobody is open beyond the sticks and he has no time for a play to develop.  He completes two thirds to 70% of his passes, with a handful of drops every game (KEY drops on HUGE plays at that!) while being constantly under duress, hurried, under pressure, getting hit all the time, and the complaints are all about his accuracy?  Curious.  He looks pretty accurate to me with a couple of throws per game being out of reach of our receivers.  We are now in the business of demanding perfection on every snap from Joe?  Good luck with that from ANY QB in the game.  Everybody misses a throw here and there, Flacco's misses are just being unfairly magnified by fans who are unhappy with the offense as a whole.  Most of his misses are a result of pressure or tight coverage anyway.

Today, I saw a lot of people complain about a pass that was low and away and bounced off the ground.  But if he threw it where the receiver could catch it, there was a defender in the area who probably would have INTERCEPTED it instead.  That one in particular might as well just be a throwaway to avoid a sack, because that was never getting completed anyway.  I do remember two passes today that went over the heads of the receiver.  On 50 dropbacks, 2 passes were obviously overthrown that I can recall.  And that's supposed to convince me that Flacco needs to be benched, when he completes two thirds of his pass attempts and had 3 or 4 really major drops on key plays that would have given us big points had the receiver done their part today?  Because when you're throwing over a pass rush in your face you aren't supposed to ever loft one that might end up out of reach of the receiver?  It's actually really common.

What's uncommon is how often Joe is pressured, how little of a pocket he's getting to step into, and how tight the windows are on his receivers.  I watched a little bit of the Patriots game today and Tom Brady had all freakin' day back in the pocket today and was throwing to receivers who didn't have a single defender within 5 yards of them in any direction at the time the ball got into them, then they would make tons of yards after the catch, often breaking tackles.  I don't know how he gets all that help, but he does.  Joe needs pass protection, he needs the guy catching the ball underneath the coverage to make a play after he catches the ball, he needs the guys down the field to catch the ball when he puts it where they can reach it, and he's way too often not getting one, two, or all three of those things (sometimes on the same play).

I'm just saying, Joe Flacco is being put in a position to lose on a bad offense with bad play-calling, but he's doing about as much as you can ask a QB to do if you ask me.  He's putting the ball where it can be caught at least 80% of the time when you consider drops.  If that's inaccurate, I don't know what to tell you.  He's being judged completely unfairly and without regard for context and what's really happening if you ask me.

Joe was amazing on that final drive. No one could get open on 4th and 2, so he took it around the edge and picked it up himself. He also used his legs to roll out and find Wallace when it looked like he was going to have to throw it away. Then he throws a perfect deep ball to Perriman in the end zone, then throws a laser through a small window and it goes off Wallace's hands. He made extremely difficult throws and put them exactly where they needed to be. On the previous drive, Wallace dropped a pass on 3rd down to force a punt. Earlier in the game, besides Perriman dropping the perfect deep pass, Juice stumbled on an easy route over the middle at the end of the half, which prevented us from getting a 1st down. That's in addition to the fact that he rarely has time to throw and gets hit constantly. Then he gets criticized for the offense's failures. Even before this game, Wallace and Moore dropped perfect deep passes that would have been TDs. Last week, Tucker probably would have kicked the game winner had Moore not dropped the easy pass over the middle. If our receivers would simply catch key passes that hit them right in the hands, we'd be 5-0.

We have everything we need," said Ravens coach John Harbaugh. "But, we can't play like that, and make the mistakes we made in this game and win the football game."

I don't know, but sounds like he is throwing players under the bus.
He mentions Gilmore slipping on the fake FG attempt (on 4 and 12 SMH)
Mosley poor technique.
Lack of protection for the QB
Blamed young guys not stepping up on special teams

The play calling killed them and he is not apologizing for that.
How can you say you have the right scheme when your offense can only put 10 points on the board at home.

I don't know if it's blind arrogance, incompetence , or stupidity.

"Harbaugh said after the game that he didn’t believe Offensive Coordinator Marc Trestman had abandoned the running game...". Crap like that makes me fear that Harbaugh seriously does not comprehend the no 1 problem with our struggling offense - Marc Trestman.

West was a beast against a defense that is at the bottom of the league in run D. And Moron Trestman starts to pass the ball in a situation where we were leading for most part and never behind more than 1 score?!

Trestman's play calling has single-handedly cost us 2 games now. I understand we the fans are usually much more impatient with calling for firing someone, but at the very least I was hoping to read some harsh words from Harbs towards Marc, you know, like he did towards Pees in the preseason. Instead, he sees nothing wrong with the O's play calling?! Then he's the problem as much as Trestman is.

If I see another game with Trestman abandoning a VERY well working running game and he isn't fired by the next morning, I'll too be getting on the fire-Harbaugh bandwagon.

Its Mallett time!

YES!!!!!!!!!

Joe Flacco is a way better quarterback than Ryan mallet. Joe Flacco is not the problem it's the play calling and the offensive line being hurt. Flacco will continue to be the Ravens guy for years to come.

1. Our defense has once again proven it is a great unit only allowing 1 TDs and 1 FGs.
2. Special Teams breakdowns were costly.
3. The fake FG after a pass for 2 yards, pass for negative 2 yards, and a check-down for 2 yards... NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!
4.We spent all this money in the offseason and only lost our LG on offense. How is our offense so terrible? TRESTMAN
5. When is the last time the Ravens won in a blowout under Trestman, or what I like call putting the game away?
6. Trestman desperately needs to watch the 2014 Kubiak tape and take notes. *That was when Flacco was at his best.
7. We finally scored an opening drive TD, and failed to score the rest of the game.
8. We lost that game 16-10. We were in FG range when Flacco failed to convert on 4th down. Remember that fake FG? Points sure look hard to come by...

9. We averaged 6.2 yards per carry and 4 yards per pass. We ran the ball 18 times and threw 47. This all makes sense and is a "balanced" offense. (OUR ROUTE TREES ARE TERRIBLE 0-5 yard completions)

10. What's frightening is that the majority of the NFL may have figured out Trestman' offense. It didn't take too long for his CFL gimmicks to be exposed.

11. Trestman may actually be bad enough lose his job year 2. With this play calling the offensive results will cont

Watching this game in a bar on the other side of the planet with a bunch of skins fans at the next table (what are the odds) .... Watching this game made me feel like a Browns fan, it really did.

And yes there is something distinctly wrong with our O, only calling 17 run plays when West is dominating in the first quarter, but calling them when we are first-and-twenty & second-and-eighteen ... makes me think Trestman is a Steelers mole or something.

So,,, the Ravens won't be running the table on the NFC East this year. I'm wondering if we'll be able to salvage even one win against that division; we'll pretty much know after next week. Hmmm

Take away the front office's hire of Kubiak, which was forced on Harbs, and our record since the Super Bowl would truly look pathetic. I also suspect that Harbs has had greater say in personnel selection since the Super Bowl, and has prioritized smart nice guys over guys with more talent and fire. In a battle for a job between Harbs and Ozzie, I think I know where Biscuit will put his faith.

For now, Harbs needs to cut bait with Trestman before the season further slips away.

What we could see the last two weeks was that our backups are far from our starters. Our O line is a mess and when Mosley got hurt the middle of the defense looked soft. Also we just need to make plays. Perriman needs to step up. I know he had a hard time getting on the field put now he can play and we need him. Sure the potential TD grap wasn't easy but that's what NFL WR do. They come up with those.

O-Line was pathetic yet again - when are you people going to call for the OL coach to be replaced??

Sorry Harbs, your OC did abandon the run!!!!

Sorry WR's - we supposedly have all this talent yet couldn't break the coverage and get open. Seriously, Smith Sr is the only one who knows how to read DB's and where the coverage isn't and when he's not in the game no other WR steps up and makes plays!!!
