Well, the Ravens are terrible. In all my years of watching professional sports, I've never seen a team who's MO is to simply hang around, keep the score close, and then try to win it at the last possible minute. Sleepwalk through the game, and only play with any focus and intensity at the very end. It's been this way for a few years now...I can count on one hand the few Ravens players that bring it every game. My Redskins buddy was shocked when I told him that we were actually expecting to win the game at the very end...he was alarmed because he thought we mailed it in since the 3rd quarter and it was going to take a great deal of luck for us to score on that final drive. I had to explain to him that we frequently win(when we do win) that way...preferably with a last minute FG. I keep asking, and I've never gotten a satisfactory answer; what good is John Harbaugh if he cannot consistently field a determined and motivated team? I sincerely believe Harbaugh has shredded the cherished identity of this team, and it would take some serious work to undo the psychological damage. We're living on past glories, and I'm not even fooled by Harbaugh's lofty win-loss record...I watched all those games and personally witnessed the steady decline of the Ravens. Of course, had we scored on that last drive, Harbaugh would show up to extol 'his team' for a hard fought victory, he'll remind us how truly great of a team the Redskins are...blah blah blah. I've often wondered if he believes some of the words that come out from his own mouth. Someday, one inevitable day, we'll be free of Haarbaugh's clutch...what a great day it would be!! I don't know about anyone else, but I've been done with his shenanigans for a few years now.

Preach brotha!! I couldn't have said it better myself. We will not win another Super Bowl as long as Horri-baugh is our coach as well as Dean Pees running our D. Harbaugh's record is inflated by the greats, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed

Absolutely right. Just look at Dean Pees today...it was obvious early in the 3rd that our front 4 couldn't generate any pressure on Cousins, he got comfortable and started shredding. Did Pees do anything to bring more pressure, any adjustments? Absolutely none! We lined up in the same base defense and let Cousins pick us apart.

Yall blame everyone except the QB SMH he is lame and I'm sorry to say it but I like leaders and that's something he refuses to be! CJ Moseley made a mistake true enough and the run game was there but the QB isn't earning his money PERIOD! Start Mallet and we will win! I'm tired of excuses! Joe suck!

You have to believe that our top guys Ozzie and Bischotti are talking about canning Trestman. Please let's do it now so we can salvage the season. I know they wouldn'tdo this, but Brian Billick is available and he'd be a major upgrade. Anyhow anyone but Trestman. How can you run the ball like crazy in the 1st quarter on a team that struggles against the run and and then only run 7 designed times the rest of the game (the 8th run was a Flacco scramble). Harbaugh's game management to be polite stinks. He takes time outs at inopportune times which negates us from using them late in the game when they are needed. He didn't take a Tucker chip shot last week and we lose by one point and then not over ruling the fake field goal taking is mind boggling. Tucker He hits that FG and instead of going 4th and 8 for a TD, Tuck would have kicked a FG and we get into OT. Yes, it's a team loss, but the burden falls on Harbaugh. The fake field goal was doomed. Tucker lined up to kick the ball left-footed. Do you think this fooled the Skins. No, they are professionals not amateurs. You have Tucker throw a pass into a 20 MPH wind. Also we had a turnover on the 15 and the three play calls were Trestmanesque. A three yard nothing pass, an incomplete and the good old handoff on 3rd and long to the back when in the shotgun. We've run this play some 20 times this year. I'll bet the net gain from this assinine call is about 1 yard per play (if that). I could go on and on but I'll end with let's get a Coach who wants to win outright and not stay close and hope we pull the game out. We should be 5-0 and grudgingly could be 4-1, but we are 3-2 and looking as a string of losses if changes aren't made!!!

Besides #FireTrestman

The 1 minor thing I do want to say about the defense is..yes overall great but
2 straight weeks very little to no pass rush, last week 0 sacks, this week 1 effort sack by sizzle vs avg Oline

Matt Judon needs to be active, 2 weeks without him and pass rush non existent.
And what about Pierce is he playing? I see Guy, up in there with Jernigan&Williams. Pierce was doing well

the Ravens have to make a move with Trestman, the team is in the same situation as last year. I believe Harbaugh should be on the hot seat also. I like him but maybe the players are not listening to him anymore.

There is alot blame to go around. That includes Harbaugh, Trestman, Flacco, etc.

Mallett isn't the answer if the OC is calling the QB to throw 40 times a game and completely abandon the run.

#6 thought- mine. We are not playing as good as we can be with the talent that we have and this has been going on for some time. What excuse/s is it this time? Simply put, as an invested fan- with both by tickets and emotions I am beyond dissatisfied with the product that is being provided. If this were a food analogy, is it the chef or the ingredients? You all see the same mess that I am seeing. You all can express yourself. Something has got to give and I am tired of it.

PurpleDog, you know, I know, everyone knows you dont win many games throwing the ball 50x a game. Probably count on 1 hand those victories.

This is all about Trestman.. you got West avg 9yrds a carry and he gets 11 rushes??
You cant put playcalling,run/pass ratio on Joe.
You cant put dink&dunk style on Joe, facf hes avg 6 yrds a throw lowest of his career.

Thats all FireTrestman

My question is; when you have a RB hammering out 8.5 yards average per run, why did we abandon the run? Not saying only run of course, you take what the defense gives you, but you hammer them then use the play action pass. Until they shut down the run, the Ravens should have at least threatened the run almost every play....An empty backfield? Sure on rare occasion, but why switch to a heavy pass game plan? The Ravens were winning the battle up front, in my opinion had they continued to run and use the play action pass, they would have won. Hopefully the offense wakes up, 3-2 is not bad, but the Ravens should be 5-0. GO RAVENS! CB 25

Yea, so lets put in a career backup that's on his third team with an Offensive Coordinator that wants to throw 40 times a game, LMAO. Flacco is part of the problem, but benching him to put in Mallett isn't going to fix the issues with the offense.

The last two games have been two of the worst football games I have just about ever seen from this team. Once again the dropped passes at the worst moments have killed too many drives. No run game(God why is this not being addressed)and our offense is putrid, the play calling a mess.

The qb can help by doing a better job of ball placement. He almost got wallace seriously hurt.

If you can't get home with 4 or 5 against that offensive line, there's really no upside in sending more people.

Quantity of rushers is rarely the solution to quality of pass rush.

The guys that are rushing just simply have to do better.

Some of the comments are irrational like PurpleDog who obviously doesnt like Joe.
But Im going to ignore those irrational thoughts because
Most logical Ravens fans understand you cant throw the ball 50x and win.

We are not the Indy Colts or ATL Falcons.."Soft indoor dome explosive no huddle offense with no defense"
No, Historically and when Ravens have won SBs we are a dominant Defense, to atleast good situational defense(redzone, scoring D) with a Balanced run pass ratio of 25-30 runs a game to 35 passes..scoring avg somewhere around 25-27 points a game..

Success for this organization is not 50 passes to 20 runs..which is has been for a year and half under Trestman

2nd half 24 passes, 6 rushes, and the Final 22 plays were passes except for Joe's game saving scramble.

That is not abandoning the run, it is gross incompetence.

this purple dog 96 is the same dude that for the whole past year was advocating benching joe in favor of schaub, claiming we would have won the superbowl with him...

until when they actually were FORCED to play him, and then he shut his mouth up...

Except Joe did rise to the occassion in the 4th quarter.  He threw the pass that could have, should have, and needed to be caught.  And it wasn't.  He threw it multiple times this fourth quarter, in fact.  And he did it LAST WEEK, too.  Now that's not an excuse for why the offense sleepwalks through the rest of the game, but on the do-or-die 4th quarter win-or-lose drive, Flacco is the guy delivering, while his teammates drop the ball (literally).

Unbelievable to me how much of the discussion is on blaming Flacco for everything, when the play designs & calls are not working, he has no choice but to throw it short of the sticks because nobody is open beyond the sticks and he has no time for a play to develop.  He completes two thirds to 70% of his passes, with a handful of drops every game (KEY drops on HUGE plays at that!) while being constantly under duress, hurried, under pressure, getting hit all the time, and the complaints are all about his accuracy?  Curious.  He looks pretty accurate to me with a couple of throws per game being out of reach of our receivers.  We are now in the business of demanding perfection on every snap from Joe?  Good luck with that from ANY QB in the game.  Everybody misses a throw here and there, Flacco's misses are just being unfairly magnified by fans who are unhappy with the offense as a whole.  Most of his misses are a result of pressure or tight coverage anyway.

Today, I saw a lot of people complain about a pass that was low and away and bounced off the ground.  But if he threw it where the receiver could catch it, there was a defender in the area who probably would have INTERCEPTED it instead.  That one in particular might as well just be a throwaway to avoid a sack, because that was never getting completed anyway.  I do remember two passes today that went over the heads of the receiver.  On 50 dropbacks, 2 passes were obviously overthrown that I can recall.  And that's supposed to convince me that Flacco needs to be benched, when he completes two thirds of his pass attempts and had 3 or 4 really major drops on key plays that would have given us big points had the receiver done their part today?  Because when you're throwing over a pass rush in your face you aren't supposed to ever loft one that might end up out of reach of the receiver?  It's actually really common.

What's uncommon is how often Joe is pressured, how little of a pocket he's getting to step into, and how tight the windows are on his receivers.  I watched a little bit of the Patriots game today and Tom Brady had all freakin' day back in the pocket today and was throwing to receivers who didn't have a single defender within 5 yards of them in any direction at the time the ball got into them, then they would make tons of yards after the catch, often breaking tackles.  I don't know how he gets all that help, but he does.  Joe needs pass protection, he needs the guy catching the ball underneath the coverage to make a play after he catches the ball, he needs the guys down the field to catch the ball when he puts it where they can reach it, and he's way too often not getting one, two, or all three of those things (sometimes on the same play).

I'm just saying, Joe Flacco is being put in a position to lose on a bad offense with bad play-calling, but he's doing about as much as you can ask a QB to do if you ask me.  He's putting the ball where it can be caught at least 80% of the time when you consider drops.  If that's inaccurate, I don't know what to tell you.  He's being judged completely unfairly and without regard for context and what's really happening if you ask me.

like MANY other more competent fans have said if it's not broken, why change it?

for once today running game was going great (with west, because dixon was understandably useless and allen nothing more than a backup imo) ...why getting away from it?

for all (not just purple dog) blaming joe for his mistakes...guys you DO have to understand the guy is 9 months removed from a double knee tear...it usually takes 12 to 15 months to regain playing shape and until the following year to not feel anything...give him a break

i see NOBODY pointing out the ABSOLUTE lack of pass rush...

and nobody arguing about the complete uneffectiveness of doom...he clearly is not 100% yet...so why not letting him heal more and continue to play judon???

and...where in the world is Will Davis???

and perriman HAS to make the first half's catch AND he has to have the presence of mind of dragging his first freaking foot on the ground... that's one of the first things they teach you when you play WR at peewee level...

there's more but i'll stop here...

I agree. The O-line is not giving any time for Flacco to throw and the WR are not getting open. Wallace has been let go from 3 teams because he's a one trick pony that plays soft. I didn't necessarily agree with that assessment but it's proven to be true. Take away the blown coverage wide open 60 yarder in the 1st game and he's been invisible. Aiken stepped up last year because he made the tough catches, this year - he's dropping everything and is horrible in punt coverage. It's also no coincidence that the Ravens are 3-0 with Stanley and 0-2 without.

Was anyone else screaming "run the ball" in their last three possessions? West was tearing them up and they just stopped using him. It made no sense. I can see under two minutes but not when you have 10 minutes and only need a TD to take the lead.
