Bored today, so I've read this entire topic.  Wow, Flacco with a yellow jacket?  This one takes the cake!

His hobbies include bee keeping.

You're spot on. These are the fans who were on here whining after we won the SB, wants Harbaugh gone, thinks we haven't drafted well over the past 5 years and want Ozzie gone, etc etc.

We won the SB 4 years ago. Since then we have a record of 26-29. We haven't drafted well either:

2013

Elam - bust

Brown - no longer on the team

Williams - Very good run stopping DT

Simon - no longer on the team

Juice - decent FB in a league that's phasing out the position

Wagner - solid RT whose play has dipped a bit

Moore - always injured, hasn't done anything

Jensen - decent backup OL

The 2 remaining picks are no longer in the league.

2014

Mosley - pro bowl caliber LB. Play slipped last season, but looked like he was back before getting injured this season

Jernigan - solid DE. Has an issue with personal fouls

Gilmore - decent backup TE

Brooks - no longer on the team

Urban - backup DL/ST player

Taliaferro - backup RB

Urschel - backup OL

Wenning - no longer in the league

Campanaro - showed promise but was constantly hurt. As of now not in the league

2015

Perriman - shows flashes but has not absolutely nothing noteworthy at this point in his career

Williams - nothing special in his rookie year. Out for this season

Davis - hasn't done anything. Out for the season

Smith - decent rush OLB. Doesn't really offer much else

Allen - 3rd string RB

Walker - RIP

Boyle - PED problem. Currently suspended

Myers - not in the league as far as I know

Waller - suspended 4 games, WR converted to TE

2016

Stanley - looks good when healthy. His injury is becoming a serious concern. No timetable for his return

Correa - has barely seen the field. Outside of the almost int he hasn't looked impressive when actually on the field

Kaufusi - out for season

Young - looks like a very solid nickel corner

Moore - raw with some serious speed. Has a case of the drops

Lewis - decent LG being forced to play LT due to Stanley injury. Looks overmatched at LT

Henry - hasn't played

Dixon - injured in pre-season. Is an explosive player, but hasn't seen much playing time since coming back

Judon - has tremendous potential. He could be a good one

Reynolds - on practice squad

Canaday - on IR

How many difference makers have we drafted since the SB? Obviously players can progress, but at this point I don't know how anyone can say we have drafted well lately.

So many fans have that "everything is awesome" mentality. But the truth is this team hasn't been very good since the SB.

So many fans have that "everything is awesome" mentality. But the truth is this team hasn't been very good since the SB.

Who here has the "everything is awesome" mentality? I've yet to see a single person here like that.

We can hardly begin to evaluate this year's rookies obviously; we can only speculate on what they could be. I think time will show that we killed it with this current draft class...but until then, it's one big question mark, and we can't say either way whether we did poorly or not.

Last year's class, much the same. That class has been decimated by injuries...first three picks have already all missed/currently missing an entire season. We can't objectively say those were poor picks until they get back on the field.

2014 is proving to be tremendous. Mosley and Jernigan both having Pro Bowl caliber seasons, Gilmore is a decent starter if not for Pitta still being here, and a couple decent depth players after that.

2013 I can't really call bad, since it got us one of the best NTs in the league and a starting RT. First two picks were busts though.

To summarize, between 2013 - 2016, we drafted three Pro Bowl level players (Mosely, Jernigan and Williams), a starting LT, a starting RT, a starting LG (Lewis), several good role players/backups, and a few guys with very high potential that remains to be seen how they turn out (Perriman, KC, Kaufusi, Young, Dixon, Moore, Judon)...if just two of those seven young guys turn out to be as good as we're hoping, or even become decent starters, these last few years would have been a tremendous haul.

For comparison, compare that to pretty much any other team. We used NE as an example when we had this discussion in another thread, and we compare favorably to most any other team over that same period.

Not even the mods. :(

Seriously, though, just because someone doesn't believe EVERYTHING sucks, it doesn't mean they don't see problems.

This.  Its like we are winning the superbowl or getting the number one overall pick, for some reason people dont believe in a middle ground

There have been plenty of posts. I saw one earlier today suggesting that this is a SB team.

To be clear I'm not saying that people don't have the right to feel that way. There are extremes on both sides.

The only way Flacco gets a yellow jacket is if he orders one online.

You can't reason with these people. We have some of the most delusional fans in any sport.

If he won another super bowl presumably playing great he would likely be the 2nd all time postseason passer, it's not absurd to say he'd get in IF he won another super bowl and made the playoffs 3-4 more times.

On another note, if Troy P gets in and Ed Reed does not im done with the NFL.

You would think fans of a team would want their QB to get it together and succeed. Kinda strange really.

Who doesn't want Joe to get it together and succeed? We're all Ravens fans, if Joe plays better than the Ravens play better.

Some people just want to be right no matter what.

I see you're getting ripped for this, but I haven't seen a single person who has said they want Joe to fail. A lot of people will call him out and say he's doing poorly, but no one has outright said they want Joe to do poorly, as far as I know.

I'm not. I haven't seen one person on this forum openly rooting for Joe to play poorly.

No but most of them did not say they want him to fail because in their minds he already did.

I haven't seen a single person say they want Joe to fail, but I see multiple people who mysteriously only appear when Joe plays poorly.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well sure, they have the right to feel that way...doesn't mean it isn't ridiculous :D

But I suppose I'd rather read that than constant negativity...negativity has always rubbed me the wrong way, even on the rare occasions it's warranted.

yep...I'm one of the most positive and optimistic people on these boards, and I get warned for my language when talking about this team all the time :D

The guy I was responding to has a low post count, so he probably hasn't been here long enough to get a true feel for things around here...EVERYONE here has plenty of gripes about this team. And they should...

gawd do they grind my gears...I know exactly who you're talking about. I'm still trying to figure out a way to subtly call them out on it.

Joe Flacco will either get it together or he wont, personally I think he's been here before and he will find a way to turn things around. That said, at the end of the day it comes down to opportunity cost and there is no way it makes sense to move on from him at the end of the season, no matter how irate the fans get. As for the draft I think 2016 may go down as one of our best ever top to bottom, and one more like it (preferably not as high, with another pro-bowl player picked) will put us back in business.
