When this year? Or since he has been here?

very well seems pretty low expectations for the guy that is supposed to be the face of the franchise.

you must have some pretty low expectations for everyone else as well i hope.

well if you are fair that is....

"Very, very well" is what I said, and I said that because some of you trolls will completely derail a thread if anyone dares use any stronger positive adjectives to describe him. This team is nothing without him. That says it all.

It would be unrealistic to expect excellence from day one. But we can still look at the whole body of work.

For me, what makes all of this most impressive is that these things have been accomplished without having top notch WRs and TEs to throw to. Sure, we had Mase, Q and Pitta for short stints, but what could be accomplished if the Ravens had a guy(s) like Moss, Green, Brown, Nelson, OBJ, Gronk, etc. for extended periods of time?

I think the best is yet to come.

After seeing what Flacco does with good players well past their prime, guys like SSS, Boldin and Mase...if he had an actual OL and Gronk and Edelman and a running game like NE's, he would pretty much annihilate the league. The only Flacco discussions going on is where he ranks among guys like Favre and Manning and Montana.

at what point are you going to expect more?

people expect others to play great and do things they really dont have the ability to do yet with flacco people dont have those same expectations.

i mean people expected aiken to make that 4th down catch quoting michael irving in the proces lol.

if you have those expectations from a UDFA who has been on PS for most of his career then why are you settling for just very very well for our SB MVP QB?

you = not personal , as others said it but use it for conversation sake...
cant remember who used the michael irving quote and cant be botherd to look it up.

Although it doesn't look too good now, I still hold out hope that Perriman will cure the dropsies and be "that guy". And I think we're headed in a good direction with the OL, just need to find an anchor at C. But right now? eh.

Because its the people around him holding him back. Not that hard to figure out for most sensible people, is it not?

When the guys around him do their jobs.

But he makes a gazillion $!!!  He should be held to a higher standard and able to be great all on his own, even if he is lying an his back and has to throw, run and catch the ball too!  He has to do it all by himself to be great, just like Rogers and Ben do.  B)

Does it really hurt your feelings so bad that most of us here know what we have in Flacco, and appreciate him, that you guys need to derail every single Flacco discussion with your senseless propaganda?

Funny thing about it is, Rodgers and Ben play like crap every bit as often as Flacco does. The difference is, they have the players around them to make up for it. I know this, because I actually watch them play, unlike most of these people.

Now watch these trolls' response to the above statement. How dare I say that about Rodgers and Ben?? Nevermind it's the truth, and then they explain it away with that exact same "excuses" we use for Flacco. I question their allegiance to this team.

It's even funnier that you need to put words in my mouth in order for you to make a point. Now THAT is hilarious!

You're right, we're busted...we're part of the Flacco is Elite Illuminati chapter, and we are here to protect his reputation at all costs. We could care less about the Ravens, just make sure Flacco's name is in the clear!

Yeah, no question.  When I mentioned Rogers stinking it up against the cowboys(can't say I've ever seen a QB play worse) in the "other teams thread" it was like "oh he never plays bad, just a hiccup". I'm pretty sure many don't watch and just look at fantasy stats.

Knock off the personal discussion, please.  Address the subject, not each other.

Hard to have a discussion when it's not even my words being used to represent my views.

Doesn't surprise me at all. And they don't seem to be able to understand that having bad games does not mean you aren't "elite" or whatever the buzzword of the day is.

This.

Even the supporters are starting to fall off.

The excuses have been old.

Every year its the Line, OC, Running game or lack of weapons.

Flacco is just a basic QB that we can win and lose without.  It wouldn't be that hard to replace his production

Find me another superbowl MVP.....seriously....

Easy.

Ben Roethlis--- oh, wait.

Philip Rive---uh nevermind.

Russell Wilson -- no?

Matt Ryan---LOL, JK

Cam New---no?

Tony Romo--nope

Andrew Luck---not even close.

A better way to look at it is like this:

There are five active QBs to have been named SB MVP.

Brady, Eli, Rodgers, Brees and Flacco.

They will all one day get Yellow Jackets.

Yeah, I said it...

what could he have done differently to make Perriman catch the ball? TJ Whosyourmomma during the playoffs when it hit him the chest? Lee Evans? Wallace last week?

Every single QB on the lists on this forum has some sort of incredible talent on offense....Flacco makes a ton of mistakes, I don't think anyone is going to debate you on that, however how consistent have his weapons been? T Smith is the best weapon so far we have been able to DRAFT to assist him and the run game has been going downhill since the SB run with the exception of a Kubiak run offense and a gem of a year by Forsett.

it's as if guys forget, Flacco is the biggest tease in the league. He hates us, but come playoff time he delivers with LESS offensive weapons....year we won the SB people forget how Ray Rice wasn't the Ray Rice of old and we relied on Flacco/Boldin

Can you guys even imagine what Flacco could do with Bell in the backfield and Antonio Brown? Seriously

Or Gronk and an offensive line that allows Brady to plant himself flat footed at times?

Tony G/R White/Julio Jones?

Amari Cooper?

Boldin was good enough to eclipse R White on this list, THATS IT.
