I wouldn't be surprised if Dixon is inactive this game so we can have both Judon and Correa active now that 1) Carter was cut so we need ST bodies, and 2) We still haven't gotten word on Mosley's injury. With that knee brace it was plainly obvious that he just is not ready to come back and contribute, he was hesitant and didn't have the quickness to find the hole. Give him another couple weeks to heal up to 100% and we can bring him back to the active roster on game day. Right now I'm happy rolling with West as the starter and Buck pulling backup duties.

Here's my guesses in our inactives:

2 o linemen based on injury (we have 9 on roster now)

Mosley-i am guessing he is out for this game

Henry

SSS or Moore (depending if Smith can go)

Last inactive could be any of following

Dixon, Allen, Waller, Brown, Judon, ZSmith  my guess is ZSmith

Not only that but we have good young talent there. Judon, Perriman, Crockett, CJ, Jernigan,Williams, Lawerence Guy is a good player, Tavon Young has done well.

Tbh. We have the pieces. Suggs isn't doing terrible, he's still a good run defender and might get a few more sacks, I'm not counting Dumervil out because he's still coming back from injury. Ronnie Stanley when he returns will hopefully help solidify the oline. We could easily be a wildcard team with the way the AFC is shaping up. One of the divisions is flat out terrible(AFC South), AFC West has two good teams and that's it(Oakland and Denver), and AFC east is always dominated by one team. We could easily make the playoffs and figure things out.

We have a winning record.

Give this team 2-3 more years to develop and we could be dangerous.

Beat me to it. I was just gonna say this. The AFC West hasn't had that many divisional matchups this early so I'll definitely keep this in mind. I'm hoping the Raiders win the division so we don't have to lose the tiebreaker against them for a wildcard spot like we do against the Bills.

I expect to see Jimmy on Odell all game.

Based on his comments about him, I expect Jimmy to at least hold his ground against him. Of course, the media is gonna eat this up.

I expect the Raiders will fade down the stretch. They're a good side, but they're still young and that early travel schedule is going to wreck them come the last few weeks.

I have tempered my expectations tremendously after the last 2 losses 'at home' against average teams. Now, we are playing better teams on the road. But football is a strange game and humbles you more often than not. So, who knows? We may end up winning both games in NY. But, more than likely if we can come out with 1 of 2 I'll be delighted but frankly if we lose the next 2 games agains the Giants and Jets, it won't shock me at all.

If Stanley and Yanda are both out, Flacco is going to lower his 5.Whatever YPP. He may have about 2 seconds to throw. JPP is going to kill this line.

I honestly don't see a way for us to win this game. Their d-line is going to eat our o-line alive. Damon Harrison is just as good if not better than B-Will at destroying the run. Vernon and JPP will make our tackles look like revolving doors. I think this game will be a nightmare to watch. Low scoring game, but I don't see us scoring more than 15 points unfortunately.

It could be a good thing for Jimmy if the media hypes it. If he excels then he'll get the attention that we've always felt that he deserves. Many of us were talking about how no one talks about Jimmy in 2014 when he was having his big year, if he delivers a huge performance Sunday than he'll put the league on notice. Maybe he'll get the hype.

the fat lady has got out of bed and is clearing her throat..this game will end the ravens season. 3 losses before week 7 = no playoffs. Not with the schedule coming up.

the giants D line will demolish this sorry O line. I mean demolish it. it will be the WORST offensive Performence of the season. IF the ravens win this game I WILL glady leave this board for a FULL month. Thats how assured i am that this season, as far as the playoffs are concerned, will be over with by the bye.

thats why i said the oakland and/ or redskins game WOULD set the tone for our season. Without Yanda and scrubville being the best way to describe this line can you really see them holding up against JPP, Vernon and harrison?

no chance in hell.

That's not gonna fly - I bet the entire board will rather have you here 24/7 for a month straight, with the requirement of posting a message like this every 15 min:

i think that would eventually piss people off, it might work for the next week or so but eventually it will just be treated as spam.

I'd do it but im sorry it aint gonna happen because the giants will win this game and actually win it comfortably. Our O line will be destoryed.

I will say our OL will be arguably the worst it's ever been in like the past decade if Stanley, Yanda, and Wagner are all out. Then you'll be looking at Lewis, Urschel, Zuttah, Jensen, and Hurst... good luck Joe!

/Actually we might have sported an OL of McKinnie, Shipley, Gradkowski, Yanda, and Oher in 2013 if my memory serves... that might be worse, but probably not.

thing is too, some QBs can deal with being rattled while joe gets worse and worse.. anyone who thinks we can win this game is deluded. welcome to the 3 and 3 club.

There's no way you're a Ravens fan. You must be a fan of one of our rivals disguised as a Raven fan to discretely run your mouth about our team.

Nope, they don't play man coverage. I expect the Jints to do what every other team did and that's throw at Wright early and often.

Uh, no.  When you're wrong, your just wrong based upon the merits of the argument.  Just because you'd be gone for a month doesn't make everything you say right or worth a thumbs up!

Yeah, we should just call the NFL and the Giants and say we're not showing up. .  I think our substitute line rises to the occasion.  I think some new game planning around the fact we have much of our starting line out will attempt to play to their strengths.  I would rather approach the game with that attitude instead of whining like you are right now.

Fan like a Raven........bemoan the loss after it happens instead of being so negative before they've played a snap.  It might make this more fun!

Sadly I think this is a bad matchup for jimmy, and I'm possibly jimmys biggest fan. I think Odell is just too athletic, jimmy can be up and down and does excellent against many types of receivers but has trouble staying downfield with the explosive freak athletes like odb.

Ravens WR Steve Smith (ankle) misses second straight practice. LT Ronnie Stanley returns for first practice in couple of weeks. PR Devin Hester was absent Thursday after practicing previous day. Others not practicing: G Marshal Yanda (shoulder), LB C.J. Mosley (hamstring), LB Elvis Dumervil (foot) and RT Rick Wagner (thigh)

I hope Stanley is back for this game.  I know we have a banged up line, but am hoping we don't see Hurst in the game...even if that means a line of

Stanley-Urschel-Zuttah-Jensen-Lewis if Yanda and Wagner can't go.  The other injuries hurt but could be a blessing in disguise for young players---ex:  Maybe Correa or Judon step up if Mosley and/or Dumervil are out or limited.  Maybe Moore gets a few more opportunites and steps up if Smith is out, etc.

I'd switch urschel and Jensen. Urschel has done a good job at the right guard spot before, and Jensen at the left.

Im not too scared with that oline tbh. Lewis might be an upgrade Over Wagner at RT

Back to back missed practices for Dumervil is not a good sign, especially how limited he's been so far.

Looking like Steve, Yanda, Wagner and Mosley are likely headed for inactive on Sunday, possibly Dumervil as well.

I just plugged in Urschel and Jensen at guards...I honestly don't know enough about them to know which would be better at which G position, so I'll trust your judgement there.

My main point was I think that IF Stanley can play, we will be ok on the line (assuming no in-game injuries of course)  If Stanley, Yanda, and Wagner are all out, I will officially be worried because 1) Hurst would be starting--presumably at RT with Lewis at LT and 2) If Hurst or Lewis went down in the game, I"m not sure who we'd have at T!

I'm actually very interested to see how Lewis would do at RT.  I think he will be as good if not better there than Wagner.

Yeah, looks like most if not all our inactive list this week will be injuries...

1) Smith 2) Yanda 3) Wagner 4) Mosley 5) Dumerville? 6) Hester? 7) Stanley--hopefully not especially with Wagner and Yanda looking doubtful

Healthy inactives (if Dumerville, Hester, Stanley are able to go  could be

1) Turner--assuming Stanley can play, I think Ducasse and Hurst are our backup linemen since Ducasse knows our system better and Hurst is only true T

2) Henry-has been inactive every game so far

3) Allen or Dixon if we go with 2 RBs + Juice

4) Possiblly ZSmith or Judon if Dumerville can go, but i doubt it with Carter gone and Mosley out most likely

5) Possibly Moore IF Smith somehow is able to play.

My gut says Smith-Yanda-Wagner-Mosley-Dumerville are all out.  That would leave Turner and Henry as the healthy inactives (and one of them would be active if Hester can't go)

We need to win this one.  After Giants, our schedule gets a little harder with Steelers 2x, Bengals 2x, Patriots, Eagles, Cowboys on our upcomming schedule.

Offense needs to pick it up, and do it fast.
