Knowing our luck, they'll get to Flacco early and often   :(

They most definitely will if our protection doesn't improve. Packers O line is playing good football.

im worried we are going to make some bad decisions again next year. Next year has to be about building an elite Offensive line. It's about also recognising and accepting that we are not re-tooling but rebuilding. this has hurt us and its because of Flacco's status and contract that we try to convince out of sheer desperation that we are a contender because we have a 120 million dollar qb rather than admit the obvious. the moment the FO realizes that its time to rebuild and accept suckage for a few years rather than make our cap space worse by signing 30 year old +'s and not creating new talent to fill important positions.  The only reason we have been good in the past is due to our epic drafts from 1996-2007. The stars of these drafts were legit..mmmmm what happened in 2008? we got a decent QB.that was all that was needed..but since then i can say there hasn't been 1 player we have drafted that you can say..'' he's a top 5 player in this league''..think about that.since 2008 not 1 player we have drafted could be mentioned among the top 5 in his position. The only one is possibly osemele and he's gone to a better situation...same with Mcphee..yet the guys we have paid a bucketload to arent even top 15 in their position.

Brandon Williams? C.J Mosley is top 10. Stanley healthy has huge potential.

I'm not so sure about that, I don't think you can realistically pick a two week span and say they define an entire 16 game season, really that should be reserved for the quality of opponents rather than the timing of a couple games. And especially that can hardly be said when a major coaching change is made. But seriously I think the entire idea of defining an entire season based on 2 games is ridiculous as it is, especially during a season - in hindsight it may be fair but week to week anything can happen.

Don't worry, I was being sarcastic. In response to the muppet a few posts above me writing us off after those two losses.

Bench Za'darius, put Judon back in.

I mean, Za'Darius clearly does nothing in the pass rush unless it's a coverage pressure/sack resulting from his endless effort. I know Harbaugh likes to punish guys for not contributing to special teams, but with how bad our ST unit is already, how much worse could it really get? Leave Carter inactive and activate Judon--then you'll actually have a pass-rusher who is capable of getting instant pressure on the QB.

I'm wondering what to expect at ILB next week, assuming Mosley is out with a hamstring.

They'll probably primarily use McClellan next to Orr and maybe mix in more dime, but maybe we'll see some Correa. It's going to be a rough afternoon covering RBs out of the backfield if McClellan is placed in coverage situations.

Wasn't really impressed with McClellan at ILB the last game. I believe filmstudy said they ran the dime package 10 times after Mosley got hurt.

Would love to know who's getting 1st team reps while Mosley is out

This.

I think we'll see a lot more dime since 10 of 23 snaps were dime after Mosley departed and those were far more successful.  I expect we'll also see Correa at ILB and the Ravens need to think seriously about an ILB pickup.  Thinking back, Carter also played some ILB in the preseason.

Just win. Can be ugly as all get out - just win. We need the win and it gives Marty another week to do some offensive tweaks.

The giants pass rush concerns me the most. I think we can at least contain their WRs. If we can protect flacco and have decent running success I like our chances.

Oh, and maybe not take points off the board please...............?

Juice, Jernigan this season, Jimmy before injury, Wagner before injury.

And while we're at it, name me one team that has drafted so much top 5 players in the last years?

all i know is we are close to the bottom of the all pro list. I think all we have to show is a 2nd team all pro for CJ mosley from 2009 till now. All the other all pros were drafted before.

thats pretty bad if you ask me.

any chance we had of squeezing into the playoffs died

I'm sure you've said this at least once in each of the last 8 seasons.

:/ unless we win the next two i'm not changing my opinion. splitting between the giants and jets is not enough and 2 loses and i think everyone here knows whats coming. I said 5-2 coming in the bye is the bare minimum we needed.

Had this one marked as a loss going into the season. We can't afford to go into the bye with a 3-3 record. We had the easiest 5 game schedule we've ever had and couldn't take advantage of it. We might be royally screwed.

You can complain all you want about not having All Pros (which is very subjective by the way)...you still couldn't even give 1 example of a team that has drafted 5 top players--since there are 31 other teams, your argument is pretty weak if you can't name 1 team.  The draft really is a crap-shoot...sometimes you hit and sometimes you miss.  Nobody is going to "hit" on all or even a majority of their draft picks.  The college game and the pro game are very different and it is hard to predict what players will find success at the NFL level.

You're entitled to your opinion, and you're probably not too far off from being right. But it's still a long season ahead of us. A lot of other wild card contending teams also have tough schedules coming up. Bills have a tough road ahead. Bengals are 2-3 with a trip to Foxboro coming up. Denver, Oakland and KC all have plenty of division games against each other remaining.

Ravens have yet to play the Steelers or Bengals this year. Those are the games that will decide the season.

Steelers have NE, Ravens and Cowboys in a 3 weeks span. Their schedule isn't easy as well. And they've been known to drop the easy game like they did with Philly.

Pretty bad? CJ Mosley is on pace for 7 interceptions this year. Last time we had a linebacker with even 6 was guess who? He wore 52.

Shareece will apparently be placed back in his starting position. Can't wait for him to cover Odell. Why do we not learn from our mistakes?

Jimmy and Young on Odell. Keep Wright off the field.

I don't think Tavon Young would be a better option at outside corner because I think he's better at nickel corner  at this moment.

Young is staying in the slot, he's not an outside corner. Like him or not Wright is the best option we have at #2. He's fine against receivers like Shepard, it's the big strong guys like Robinson and Crabtree that you have to worry about. He'll be fine this week.

I thought the same before seeing his game against Coleman :/

Young is a better option at outside corner. That's not to say Young is built for the outside, it speaks more about how bad Wright is.
