People act like a top 5 receiver of all time in Terrell Owens didn't have drop issues, lol. Perriman is a playmaker....not a possesion receiver.

Boldin used to drop a fair amount

Might want to hold that statement for several more years to judge.

Why? They are the same type of player Coates  just plays harder and is more hungrier than perriman . i said this when we drafted perriman. i dont need to hold nothing.

Harbaugh worked under Belichiek?

Not sure, but they were friends, and harbs learned a lot from him.  Belchek was like a coaching mentor to him.  That's why belchek recommend that steve hire him.

I may get negged a lot for this but im just going to say it.

I can honestly say I would rather have Cam as our OC instead of Tresman. Yea Cam was Bad, but the offense was NEVER this bad under him.

cam had a good offense for us....but his play selection/timing was bad. we kept the same plays once we fired him, lol!!!

The evolution of the thread is interesting - total insanity, then the cool down to relative sanity, then now every other comment is from the trolls picking up the scraps while a couple people try to have rational conversations.

Harbaugh:"I didn't think we abandoned run game."

Haha, I wish he would just admit certain things. I believe the first drive was nine plays, FIVE were runs. From there until the end of the game, it got worse.

9 plays, 5 runs - TD
5 plays,  2 runs
12 plays, 5 runs
6 plays, 1 run
3 plays, 1 run
3 plays, 0 runs - picked up 9 yards on the first play. next two plays ran out of shotgun formation.
4 plays, 3 runs - would have actually been a first for west, negated by penalty.

3 plays, 0 runs
4 plays, 3 runs - 26 yarder, and 3rd and long so a pass was warranted.
3 plays, 0 runs
4 plays, 0 runs
14 plays, 0 runs - final 2 and a half minutes.

Yup, didn't abandon the run.

This may be a little off. I had it at 20 attempts, not counting Flacco, and NFL has it at 18.
97 plays, 18-20 rush attempts?????????

Great post.  I can't see anyone looking at that and concluding that we didn't abandon the run lmao.

Yeah, he never worked for him. He just recommended him.

The RB by committee has to go to. Let West play until he needs a breather then once he has it he comes back in and plays more he is the hot back now even with the poor blocking he is the guy making plays once he gets going now the play action actually works.

The RB by committee didn't hurt us that much in this game. The problem is we simply left the run and opted for pass heavy offense.

Despite beating ourselves  it did look pretty obvious that on third down that was pass interference on the defense on the pass to Aiken. They were draped all over him. Would've given us the ball at the 1. Not gonna blame the refs for this game though. Completely beat ourselves.

I'm convinced that this is how it's always going to be as a Ravens fan.  We win in spectacular fashion and lose the same way.  I just think it's who the team is at this point and it doesn't seem to matter who is managing at the time.

Oh well, on to next week!

Good - Pfft.

Bad - This game.

Ugly - All the crow being served up by the lone 'Skins fan in the office tomorrow.

This loss hurts so bad. I'll still love this team and always watch them and will never quit on them, but they're not good this year so lowering my expectations to not expect anything, probably not a playoff team right now. Unless the O-line / play calling  improves 10 fold we are not a playoff team.

Permian is really disappointing so far. Drag you damn foot, looks like a poor man's Torrey Smith so far.

I used to really want Elliot prior to the draft  (and what a pick he has been so far), but Trestman would have found a way to only give him five carries a game.

Three extremely disturbing stats that should damn Trestman.

1. After starting 2/2 on third down on the first drive, they went 1/13.

2. They had eight drives (out of 12, if you include the final play of the first half) that were four plays or fewer.

3. Despite averaging almost NINE yards per carry (!!!!), Trestman ran only five designed runs after five minutes left in the second quarter. He had 18 called runs with five on the first drive alone. How do you abandon the run when you're gaining over 6.0 YPC?

because he's the quarterback whisperer not the RB whisperer.. lol seriously though.. anyone with common sense will know to keep running. does anyone know how many times the skins rb ran the ball and for how many yds?

Last time we fired our OC midseason we won the Super Bowl.

Just sayin'.

That was coincidently the last time we lost to the Skins in OT to Cousins. Cam was gone on Monday.

Don't agree with that being a penalty.  Thought it was good coverage all around.  Worst decision is Flacco trying to make that throw.

I think there's over a 50 % chance Trestman gets fired on Monday .

I know Joe's comments about an embarrassing

offense is directed mostly at Trestman .

Its time to move on

i  gave Trestman the benefit of the doubt last year , his first year .

The offense should be improved in his second year and it's way worse .

Trestman's days are numbered

I agree it did not hurt us but West has the hot hand and should get 90% of the carries until he cant do it any more. The other backs did not do a thing for us. a yard here or there but thats about it except Juice catching at the end.

Trestman should have been fired the second he thought it was a good idea to go for the hail mary with 1 second left in the half. Joe gets sacked and Wagner gets hurt.

Karam for being absolute morons. Looked like I was watching myself playing Madden if I was really intoxicated.

obviously making definitive statements about careers with such a very small sample size tends to not end up the way you think it will.

It was an unnecessary close game.  Ravens will learn from this game.  Their season is over for 2016.  Harbs got cute with the fake field goal.  The fans deserve better coaching.  The players must learn to block. Why won't the Ravens place two backs in the backfield to block for Joe?  Who knows, who cares, the Ravens business is failing.  Glad I didn't renew my tickets.  In the end it is all about entertainment.  The fans got a thrill today, but the season is sadly over, because the Ravens OC and DC are second Tier.  Best wishes to those diehard fans.  This was another "Cleveland" gut check game, and the Raven came up short.  Q - no matter what you say, the bottom line is "Next Year, Tier One".  Go Ravens. Go Orioles.  Being average is better than being below average, I guess?

Nah, stanley was a great pick for us because o-line is our main problem after coaching. I'm watching the DAL-CIN game right now and im drooling looking at dallas o-line

True also Cam was too committed to running the ball sometimes which would put the offense in third and long often. He also ran an Air Coryell type system but did not have the players who fit into it (you generally need big, fast receivers). It worked some time but wasn't ideal. He honestly might perform better with our current players because he wouldn't abandon the run when it was working and we do have faster (not necessarily bigger) receivers.

Harbaugh: I don't think we abandoned the run." States Ravens didn't run more in second half due to not getting first downs.

Yeah, If I'm West I would have to confront him about that. Like I said, If I were him I would be heated after this game.

It's so typical of him to come out with nonsense like that, he does it all the time, it's infuriating to listen to because it's all obviously trash.
