We literally looked at our rushing offense, that was doing really well in the game, and decided "Hey, lets just pass on every play."

Then in the second half on one of the FIVE TOTAL RUSH PLAYS West has a great carry.  What does Trestman do next?  Pulls West out and puts in Buck Allen, who hadn't been getting good yardage all day.

Its truly mind-blowing.  Its not our personnel, its our playcalling.

Well, its a combination of both. I mean Trestman isn't calling plays that require WRs to drop passes, or offensive lineman to miss blocking assignments.

Some poor play calling today without question, but also some really poor execution. I'm watching our WRs who are supposed to be the best "weapons" Joe has ever had, and they couldn't beat 3rd or 4th string corners in man coverage often.

You can't scheme your way out of that.

This. But sometimes the execution has been downright abysmal. We can't blame him for all the poor pocket protection that Joe has endured or the lack of holes for the run game until these past two weeks.

I may get negged a lot for this but im just going to say it.

I can honestly say I would rather have Cam as our OC instead of Tresman. Yea Cam was Bad, but the offense was NEVER this bad under him.

I think we miss Torre Smith more hen we realize. When he left,he took his clutch p.i.drawn penalties with him. That was half of our deep passing offense.

Hopefully Cowboys beat up on the Bengals

I agree but I hate it and every year its like let someone else deal with our problems if we would take care of our own business on the field then everything else will work itself out in time. But we leave it in the refs hands or hope another team beats a team for us so we can stay competitive in the rankings just stinks.

Yep - I couldn't agree more with both of you guys.  We definitely have execution problems, but even with those issues, there's no excuse for us only putting 10 points on the board.  And only 3 points after the first drive of the game.

i personally think a regime change is overdue and we need to find a new QB pretty soon as flacco is actually getting worse..even the simple throughs when not under pressure are wayward.

When was he not under pressure the last two games? I don't know that he actually had a clean pocket all game.

Harbs deserves to be fired, but the % chance of finding a better one on the market is slim.  One could say belichek is the greatest coach in the past decade and a half so we could choose one of his proteges, but we did that with harbs.  We got 1 sb out of harbs so he wasn't a complete bust.  He gave us what like 7 good seasons?  Where will we find someone better?  Now, trestman definitely needs to go asap.

Wouldn't matter.  We'd actually have to throw the ball deep more often to get those

Shame he could've had a really good day today. If he had just held on too that pass and kept his feet in bounds. I still believe in him.

I think Perriman has shown enough flashes to give him the benefit of the doubt in his young career.  He's certainly made some excellent catches and of course some bad drops.

That is true. so we were in position to win in spite of trestman? lol.  considering the redskins are questionable stopping the run you need to run and run to keep the defense from pinning their ears back so the lack of rushing was not acceptable.

However, beyond questionable play calling players needed to make plays. if said players made plays we would have won.

Harbaugh:"I didn't think we abandoned run game."

Haha, I wish he would just admit certain things. I believe the first drive was nine plays, FIVE were runs. From there until the end of the game, it got worse.

9 plays, 5 runs - TD
5 plays,  2 runs
12 plays, 5 runs
6 plays, 1 run
3 plays, 1 run
3 plays, 0 runs - picked up 9 yards on the first play. next two plays ran out of shotgun formation.
4 plays, 3 runs - would have actually been a first for west, negated by penalty.

3 plays, 0 runs
4 plays, 3 runs - 26 yarder, and 3rd and long so a pass was warranted.
3 plays, 0 runs
4 plays, 0 runs
14 plays, 0 runs - final 2 and a half minutes.

Yup, didn't abandon the run.

This may be a little off. I had it at 20 attempts, not counting Flacco, and NFL has it at 18.
97 plays, 18-20 rush attempts?????????

I think with these past two weeks, we can blame him for the lack of protection to a large degree.

The best way to neutralize a pass rush is to get the running game going and that's what happened against two awful defenses, yet Trestman refused to run consistently.

People act like a top 5 receiver of all time in Terrell Owens didn't have drop issues, lol. Perriman is a playmaker....not a possesion receiver.

Breshad Perriman is currently having a better season than Torrey is and for about 6.5mil cheaper.

If I'm Terrence West I would be super pissed today. 11 Carries on 95 Yards after ripping big runs? Only 11 carries? I wouldn't be surprised if he said something to reporters about not getting enough carries.  Definitely questionable on Trestman's part not to get more runs out of West. That was my biggest question mark today.

like seriously i was screaming at my tv like What the heck? run the ball. terrance coulda had at least 150 yards at there today easy. the game changed completely when we stopped running. everything just fell to Crap. i feel bad for this defense. they only gave up 10 points… and still lost...

Josh McDaniels is the obvious choice ! As new HC !

this team is atrocious. the only good part of this team is the defense. am sorry our defense deserves better. trestman sucks monkey dong as a play caller. also it amazes me how terrance west was having a great game and we went pass happy. i swear i  think someone played trestman to suck this much. seriously its coaching 101. you go to the guy thats hot. not away from him. the defense did all they could and for that i say thank you defense. am sorry this offense and special team blows money dongs. trestman needs to get fire by monday. and harbaugh is on the hot seat also. how the fudge do we not blow the skins out. SMH….

Torrey wouldn't solve some of current problems.  We have guys who can get down the field, we just can't find enough time to keep Joe upright.  The last two games he is getting harassed on every drop back.  Need to get our O-Line healthy.

Just a question, but what happened to our pass rush? Not blaming the D at all but seriously, where did it go besides that one sack by Suggs early in the game.

It's been non-existent all season so far.  The numbers look inflated due to some coverage sacks, but overall, this pass rush has been abysmal.

Yea, and people are so quick to throw our young players under a bus if they aren't studs out of the gate.

The RB by committee has to go to. Let West play until he needs a breather then once he has it he comes back in and plays more he is the hot back now even with the poor blocking he is the guy making plays once he gets going now the play action actually works.

This probably pisses me off the most. He has no grasp on how to put the team in the best position to win. Pass-blocking has been poor so lets keep passing. Run game is productive so let's keep passing. God, the Chicago fans were right.
