tavon looks like he might turn out to be a stud.

i really like what im seeing from him.

He's a childhood friend of a kid that played baseball with my oldest son. That kid knows we are huge Ravens fans(he's a skins fan) and talked Tavon up big time as soon as we drafted him, so I took a keen interest in keeping tabs on him through OTAs and camp. Seems what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in tenacity and football smarts.

After his performance on Sunday, Tavon Young has moved up to 8th on the PFF Rookie List.

"8. Tavon Young, CB, Ravens

Tavon Young was playing in sub-packages the first four weeks of the season before finally getting the start against Washington, where he maintained his high level of play. His 0.62 yards per coverage snap are better than the likes of Seahawks CB Richard Sherman and Broncos CB Chris Harris Jr. at this point."

Limited snaps but ya can't ask for much more than he's done so far.

Appreciate the post rmw

The NFL should change that rule of possession,it should not matter where the ball went out of bounds,as long as possession has been established you should maintain control of the ball.Really feel it for that young man, anyway let's see if we can do a number on the NY Giants.Peace.

That's huge for Tavon and the Ravens. He reminds me of that old school Ravens defensive player. He and Timmy definitely have that Ravens swagg, playmaker feel that we used to have.

I know but there has to be some guys around who have contributed more in 5 weeks than Bosa in one.

Im not shocked the Wentz and Prescott are number 1 and 2 but who is Robinson and Conklin?

Robinson is LSU corner, also went in 4th round like Tavon. Conklin was always in a discussion as a premire draft prospect. (OT from Michigan State).

For those who went to the game, I had a couple of questions.  If you don't mind, could you answer?  Thanks.

1) Where there a lot of Redskin fans there?  How many, what percent would say?

2)  Was this the normal amount the Redskins bring?  What was it in 2008?

3)  How did the turnout of Redskins fans in Baltimore compare to when the Ravens are at FEDEX?  Do the Ravens bring more to FEDEX?

4)  How did the turnout of Washington fans in Baltimore compare to when others teams are in Baltimore....such as the Stillerz?

On TV...it sounded and looked like there were some, a lot, but hardly an invasion.  Perhaps 20%, nothing spectacular and less than what Baltimore brings to FEDEX, though many Washington fans are saying there were tons.

Fackrell surprises me a bit I thought he was a complete player. He was 25 on draft day IIRC so he's a little more rounded. Rashard Robinson we all know the potential, high risk high reward player with attitude and off the field problems.

Brian Poole ? interesting.

Great job Tavon he's a baller I knew it

It's not really about overall production, more about highlighting the progression or production on one game of rookies. This list changes a lot from week to week.

Ravens should work out Bene Benwikere, Dee Milliner, Nate Irving, Jonathan Newsome put a lil spin on the defense if injuries hurt us this year again and why not workout Rueben Randle or James Jones add more possesion and route running recievers to the squad to help us on our redzone offense if we arent able to run it in with Dixon or West

Boss was a wrecking crew. Absolutely dominant in his first game.

If I'm not mistaken fackrell has been solid all tea in GB, I wanted him really badly in the 2nd As a trade up when most had a 3rd round grade on him.

Bosa was great, if his first game was any indication, had we missed out on Stanley and he had landed here, he would have been totally worth it.

I feel like Judon should get more snaps on defense he has been good enough on the snaps he has played

I feel the same way. Smith doesn't bring much right now in the pass rush. He's been getting very low marks there. Judon at least packs the heat but doesn't set the edge well but then again we have McClellan here.

GOOD: First Drive. Here I agree with the initial post from the Moderator. The Ravens made the drive look easy.

BAD: The play calling, offensive line pass protection, the special teams play and the play of Breshad Perriman were bad to the bone. Catch perfectly thrown passes when they are thrown to you, Breshad, and learn how to drag your feet across the out of bounds line. These are basic elements of the skill set for most NFL receivers.

UGLY: Coaching. Whoever called the fake field goal and lined our Pro Bowl Kicker up as a left-footed kicker should be fired on the spot. That was another decision based on panic when we had a 4th down on our opponent's 17 yard line and led 10-6. It demonstrated the stupidity of a coaching staff that is in disarray and led by a clueless head coach. Have you seen the telling photo of the Head Coach standing on the sideline with his finger on his lips pondering what the team should do? Our Pro Bowl kicker was vulnerable to be needlessly hurt on that misguided play. OR how 'bout this one! What genius called a pass play with 1 second remaining in the 1st half? That brilliant play call resulted in a sack of our franchise QB and an injury to our RT.

PS: The team nearly bailed out Coach Harbaugh again but this time his amazing string of luck ran out. Thanks to an amazing interception by Moseley we had a chance to turn the game around! An unfortunate rule and his even more unfortunate one-handed reach for the pylon spoiled that chance. I'll stick by my original Pre-season projection for a 9-7 season but its a stretch now, given the injury status and the woeful O-line play.

I did not mind the crazy call to be honest, he took a shot which is more than I can say about Trestman lol.

What I hated was the lack of max protect being called and run plays....Flacco is more dangerous when we run the ball. it really isn't that difficult

-How about the Nats at the Os?

5) On TV, it sounded like there were a lot, but not many...perhaps 15% maybe 20.  Was this the case?
