[News] WR Steve Smith Out For Game With Ankle Injury

36 posts in this topic

We need Smith Sr. Because every time John takes points off the board we seem to lose. The trick play this week. It takes the fire out of our defense. Without our best receiver it hurts even more. Could be Harbaughs' last year as HC.

It's a shame. Very good offensive weapon on what has been proven today as the worst offense in the whole NFL. Trestman is an absolute joke and one of us could come in and do better than that trash. Only reason were gonna be 3-2 and not 0-5 is because our defense actually shows up to the game.

Were gonna be destroyed by any of the teams we play in this second half. Our offense is a JOKE people. I try to believe in my Ravens, but with this offense I don't even have a prayer

I can only hope when Harbaugh does his press conference that the word
embarrassing is used for every part of our game. Offensive line awful, we have
no CB's that can cover anyone and the biggest of all is Trestman's play calling.
We should have had this game in hand in the first half but we tried very very hard to keep it close which we did and finally we gave it away. Oh how could I
for get our fabulous special teams. They are NOT very special. We are looking
more and more like a 500 ball club. At least I am hoping.

Steve Smith would have made no difference. This offense is just pathetic. 10 points in the first quarter and nothing the rest of the game. Lord help them when they line up against a good team. Losing to the likes of Oakland was bad enough, but the Redskins stink and our great offense with the so called All Pro quarterback can't manage one score against them. Just awful.

someone needs fired, worst case of some coaching i have ever had to watch....

Agreed. Also, 10 point against one of the worst defense in the league. Cousin making plays against the #1 defense. That's Joe too. West tearing up the ground game and they abandon the run in a one score game.

Coaches
Going for a fake FG after a turnover - SMH
Moving away from run game with West averaging over 9 yards a carry

QB
Joe just fails to play like a franchise QB for 4 quarters no matter who he is playing

Rediculous, Perriman needs to get his feet down and learn how to catch. Mike wallace needs to start catching the ball when it hits his hands and Mosley, REALLY!!!!!!!OASRGFHOARSHG[OERIAHJ

Really? How about:

O-Line: 3 sacks, 10 hits, 14 hurries. Over half the pass plays.

WR: Dropped passes. Perriman drops a perfectly thrown TD bomb. Wallace drops a perfectly thrown pass (Aiken same last week).

Specials Teams: Aiken misses another tackle allowing a huge PR.

75% of all pass plays are either rushed or dropped. I don't care if Vince Lombardi or Bill Walsh is calling plays - it's a loss.

This team is going no where inconsistent offense defense got turn overs no points to show for it. Mosley the play maker made a dumb decision that cost us the game and special teams turned on us with bonehead mistakes. Did i miss anything!

Because Doom and Suggs is back, does not mean we don't blitz more, it always looks like our O-Line gets blown up, and we rush 4 and look stupid....Yep. i'm really ticked off....

This has been our offense after the first half damn near every game.

PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS

Fire trestman before its to late. Some guy on NFL net said over the offseason that we would see that Trestman is a bust, i forgot who it was but I wish he was Harbaughs advisor.

Back too back loses at home puts my confidence in Harbs in doubt we can't get to the playoffs or win the division with this team mediocrity.

Its all of what you listed and more. However 10 points against that defense? How does a QB get off the hook for that? Trestman is terrible
Harbs decision making is horrible.

Joe has another game with 46 attempts and under 300 yards. Is he "The problem". No. But he is not the difference maker that his salary demands

Hey pal, our defense has been holding tight giving the circumstances of having a lack of top tier CB's.

It's our offense that has been flat out terrible, especially in the 2nd half.

Trestman's play calling has been inconsistent and incompetent. Even more frustrating, you would think between Joe Flacco and Harbaugh, one of them would have thought to run the ball more in the second half.

Both Trestwoman and Dumbaugh should are to blame for this lackluster performance from our offense.

Now I gotta hear it from these redskins fans for the next couple years smh. Ever since Ray Lewis left we have been constantly losing to this team.

Which had the bigger impact

Coaches mistakes
1. The fake FG attempt
2. Abandoned the run game. West get only 11 carries 8.6 yds per rush
3. Seconds left in the half deep in their own territory and pass the ball. Wagner gets hurt. That rotates the line and now Joe has no time
(Reminded me of when Joe got hurt last year passes the ball instead of just running to position for FG)

Players
1. The punt return by skins
2. Dropped pass by Perriman
3. Mosley fumble out of the endzone

IMO worst example of play calling and coaching decision I've seen in one Ravens game

So the 1st 3 victories show that we got lucky but now reality showing how bad we really are at blowing out or dominating teams. Writing on the wall, stick with the run and play action and we will thrive. PASS PASS PASS when the run is eating up blockers,Trestman JUST DOESN'T GET IT!!

Exactly, and I think the words were something like "Elite".

An "elite" QB would have taken Coach Trestman by the collar and sat him down. Had a talk with him about life and how to be a man. Then explain to him that we are going to run the ball more. Instead Flacco went ahead with the poor play calling.

I usually give the team a break early in the season, but the coaching in this game reminded me of how I felt when we lost to the bungles before Harbs was coach. Billick called 3 straight pass plays from inside the 5 and Jamal Lewis was averaging over 5ypc for the game...SMH...this loss felt just like that.
