Where did Terrence Brooks land? Sure wish we would've kept him. Looking back at that play with lewis again where he got beat for the TD along with wright..not only did he take a poor route to the ball..he completely gave up on the play and didn't attempt to jump , dive, make a play on  the ball or even nudge the receiver and try to jar it loose. Nothing frustrates me more than seeing that. Atleast  brooks would've laid him out . its hard to see in the replay how far he actually was but if he got a better jump on the ball it almost looks like he   could've snatched it or at least knocked it down. It absolutely grinds my gears when DBs don't turn and LOOK FOR THE BALL. Seems that we specialize in doing that- and we could have so many more interceptions if they just turned their heads and looked for it. Look at Marcus peters- that dude locates the ball and goes after it like a damn magnet. Man I wish he fell a few more spots.

Should've put Waller back on the roster.

I'm thinking theyre gonna give DB one shot on Sunday to show himself , then depending on the results he either will go to the PS or vice versa.  In which case waller might get plucked if its him. Ofcourse I'm gonna root for daniel but waller just  seems much more intriguing and could be exactly what this offense needs. ( along with better blocking)

Too bad we don't have corners that even compare to Marcus Peters. Number one corners are almost as hard to find as number one quarter backs. We either spend a first round pick to get one or sign one in free agency which costs a small fortune, or some how get lucky with later signings, but most of the good corners coming out of college are gone by the second round.

I believe that when you sign a player off another team's practice squad, he must be on your 53 man roster at least two weeks. If Huff shows anything ability wise I expect K Lewis to be dropped. To say the least Lewis looks lost on the field and is beaten quite often. They are giving Waller another week to get into football shape before they activate him or get him to the practice squad. Max Williams is dealing with knee problems that surgery will ultimately have to fix. If Waller looks in practice like he did in pre-season then it will happen this week or next. I think Terrence Brooks went with the Eagles or Bills. He was signed the day after we released him, not sure of his current status.

The new guy cant be any worse than Kendrick Lewis, I wish they would cut him already. Would also like to see Will Davis start alongside Jimmy, Shareece been torched for 5 td's this yr

Terrence Brooks is with Eagles, unless he has recently been cut.

O just great, another druggie. Just what we need. Apparently we don't have enough suspended players and inept safeties. Now we pick up someone else's troubles. If he was any good, the Jaguars wouldn't have let him go for only one violation. Ugh.

Another safety named huff? Oh boy...

Lol, was thinking the same. If he's an upgrade over Lewis... It's a good move.

Man..... I loved Quest coming out of college. At Wyoming he was rangy, athletic, and with great speed. I think the kid can play and is versatile enough to play CB also. However... I am a little surprised by this signing. With Brooks, and Kendrick Lewis as back ups... does Quest signing make as much sense as say signing a CB like Cromartie (who was cut). (Gotta give o Ozzie and company however... at 3-1 we are not satisfied with staying status quo... as a fan... we have to appreciate that much!

what are we waiting for to place Waller back on the roster? Maybe just trying not to show our hand... so the skins have less time to prepare?

Okay, we signed a safety and we didn't released Lewis. The guy is atrocious. He was one of the main reasons we were so bad last year. Once again, I am confused as to who we are keeping and why and the guys we let go. We let some pretty talented guys go to keep some real stinkers.

As far as Terrance Brookes goes, he is on the Eagles practice squad last I heard and he could have been signed off their practice squad if the Ravens wanted him for nothing. Any team can sign any player off of any team's practice squad as long as they put them on the active roster and they can not then be put back on the Ravens practice squad, he would have to be released if they didn't keep him.

Last I saw Brooks was #29 in an Eagles uniform iirc, and only on the field for punts/kickoffs. Looks like Harbs is giving Waller a full week of practice with us, before deciding what to do with him.
Hopefully Huff could be an improvement over Lewis, but would still need time to learn the language and playbook. Still, if Oz is willing to give the young man a chance, then so am I. None of us are Saints...I mean unless we're taking about a Louisiana team ;) lol

Sorry to hear about Canady, hope he fully recovers and can contribute next year. At least he got some experience this year, and hopefully will be fully prepared for his sophmore season...

Guessing that Huff will come in to push K. Lewis, who has looked absolutely horrendous since we signed him. I'd like to see a tackle brought in to challenge Hurst also. Not that I want change for changes sake, however; any player brought in this time of the season is suspect as to why they are available in the first place, and they need to prove that they can come in and contribute, not just be another guy taking up roster space that plays no better than the player they're replacing.

My thinking is, we could help the secondary considerably with more pressure on throwing QB's ! If we are giving them 3 to 5 seconds to get rid of the ball, it really doesn't matter who we have in the backfield.

Bend but break, works for a team that's up 2 or 3 scores, not late in the 4th quarter up by 6 points. Our D-line needs to be dominant and we need to be moving QB's off their game, to make up for a weaker secondary.

Come - on Pees !
This will be your last year as a Raven coach if you can't make this happen....

What's so bad about our defense? Come on man, we're top five in the league! There was a lot of pressure on Pees during the off season, but he's probably the coach with the least amount of pressure on the team...are you sure you're not watching DVR'ed games from last season instead of this year's games? Sure, the secondary could always use more work, but they're not all that bad (we're among the leaders in fewest points allowed) and true the pass rush needs to be more focused, but it's night and day compared to last year...Sorry, but no team is going to be "perfect" in all phases, but I think it's head scratching to berate a defense that's been keeping us in all our games...

I'm not berating our D. I think our D looks much better this year !
I'm saying, when we have a secondary that's having a tough time, holding a QB like Carr in check, the job of a D coordinator is to make adjustments. Mostly to change the outcome of the game for the better. Look at Minnesota's blitzes. If we can't hold a 4th quarter lead over the Raiders, how are we going to fare against Steelers (twice), Bengals, Patriots and others ?

eze17... just like last season... when we were so improved over the second half of the season on defense (that had more to do with our schedule then it did schematic changes). The start of the year...we haven't given up much (bc of our schedule). The first time we face a good offense with a decent QB and legit WR threat (ACooper) we give up 4 TDS (including the game winner in the closing seconds of the game). The defense does look a little better this year but we have made some big investments there over the past two-three years. Draft picks -FA's like Weddle- and trades (like Will Davis etc).

It is time that Pees produces against good teams- not just the bad ones. I have no faith that he can close any team out with the game on the line!

We run the same blitz's every week, no stunts nothing. like Del Rio said, they wouldn't get to Carr. And Trestman his just a total joke. that's why he is a journeyman. Harb's better wake up. He will have a mutiny on his hands with the fans.

Think about this. The Ravens haven't been prepared to start any game. Yes the defense has, But the offense and mainly the offensive line couldn't block a good college team. If they were playing Denver or Pittsbugh last week we would have been going to Flacco's funeral

Every corner gets beat once in a while. Infact he gets beat a lot. But he also has about 12 interceptions and he's only been in the league for less than a year and a half.

In some cases the mutiny has started which is beyond me. We are 3-1 right now and imo we will get better as the offense jells.
