I agree, CB was a problem in 2014 and what was your big signing/draftee in 2015? Not much, 2016? Again, not much there outside of Tavon Young and when we're talking about Tavon Young(Love the guy) being your best acquisition at CB since you've been exposed there, then you're not really stacking there.

I understand corners get a ton of money, so maybe you can't go out and spend a ton of money to get them, but looking back on that trade that didn't go through, it's a shame Ozzie wouldn't give up a third.  As of now, Ramsey would be extremely well worth it.

Also really stung to pass on prospects like Alexander and Fuller. Really not happy with that, personally, but it is what it is.

They just don't really seem to have too much of a contingency plan at most of the big positions if the starter goes down. Like, what happens if Stanley goes out for the season? Jimmy? Yanda? Not someone the caliber of Joe, but you get what I mean.

That's just not an issue you're seeing with teams like the Vikings or the Bengals.

That goes with saying that Ozzie stressed the importance of depth during 2015 off-season basically saying depth is the biggest need on this team. I know it sounds cliche but I'm taking Stanley over Ramsey all day given that we didn't do anything in FA at LT. Ramsey would be a great pick had Stanley gone off the board. No question I would part with the 3rd. I think had we got a LT, at least something or better yet a LT, no question we would part ways with the 3rd round pick. I can't imagine Oz passing on Ramsey if we had filled in LT or if Stanley was picked by San Diego(A choice they probably wish they had made).

I know how you feel about Alexander and Fuller, I totally feel the same way about Diggs. The FO tries very hard to have a balanced team that they would refuse to prioritize on one position. They did it with TE but why not CB? We've seen time and time again what 0 depth at CB has done to this team.

Once again, if Jimmy were to go down(please no), this defense is mightily screwed. You're looking at Shareece Wright as our #1 CB. That's the situation that we have found ourselves at again. I'm tired of it and it has got to stop. I hope this off-season we stack up on CB like crazy, even if we expect big things from Smith and Young.

I agree that Wright needs to get benched and promote Will Davis and Tavon Young....enough is enough......

Some semblance of a move has been made in the secondary.

Canady has been injured a lot so far so this move makes sense.  Huff gives some S depth, and word is that he's a very good Special Teams guy too.  Led the Titans in ST tackles last year.

I know people hate this, but Bene Benwikere was just dropped from the Panthers.  I think he's an average CB and couldn't hurt to bring him in.

One of the rare times I'm actually on board with this type of statement.  Now, he did just give up 300 yards to Julio Jones, but still think that's more of an anomaly and the talent is there.

I really like Bene and I'm all for bringing him here. I'm not sure we'll even have a chance at bringing him here  since he'll have to clear waivers until we can claim him off waivers so we'll see.

I think we're what, #6 on the waiver wire order?

No. I don't believe that's the case anymore after we've played games. I think it's based off win-loss record now but hey, I could be wrong.

Last year's waiver order went out the window after week 3.  It's based on the current year record now.

See will be in the high 20's in waiter order pick up. There's a very slim chance he gets to the Ravens. He actually had a solid 2014 and 2015. One bad game and he was the scape goat. He will get picked up by someone high.

That is not that difficult to do.

He only allowed 180 of the 300...  lol...  it's funny.  Was talking to a friend about him before the season started.  Nothing spectacular, but can get the job done, I think.

Overmatched as a #1 there.  Carolina got a little risky with getting rid of Norman for nothing.  Still think Benwikere is a solid player at least, despite that horrid performance against Atlanta.  He's much better on the outside than in the slot, and that's conveniently something we should still be looking for.

I like Ben, I don't think he's supposed to be covering insane talented #1 WRs like Julio but I'd be ok with him for depth here.

Practical question...where is Melvin!?

Rashaan?  Started a game in Indy this year, but that was pretty much only because they needed any healthy body they could get at the time.  Still is playing every week though.  He's bounced around a bit since he was cut by us.

I do wonder why Kendrick Lewis went in for Webb after he got hurt over Levine. Levine has shown a lot more potential in coverage.

i agree. levine has potential to be a major factor as a swiss army knife. barely any  snaps on defense though, even when we needed a safety. hes by far the most disciplined and savvy backup db we have, and also has shown playmaking ability.

all the years hes been a solid and steady contributor you would think harbs has a mancrush on him by now and would be clamoring for pees to find ways to use him, instead we use the guy who has proven to be a liability. we really have a tendency to do that eg. hurst/forsett/ZDS.

for some reason I think last weeks loss might have knocked some sense into harbaugh. Not only did he make a poor decision on the penalty... They made poor decisions across the board when it comes to roster decisions. The o line should've been handled differently and lewis should not have been in at safety when Webb came out. The fact that forsett was benched and it ended up paying off combined with these other things- plus the way last year panned out and the slow starts this year and lackadaisical offense..I think harbaugh will have a change of heart and stop taking chances on players who have the potential to be better but go with the guys that have proved them self and not crapped the bed when it actually  counts. I expect wright to start but to be on a VERY short leash. I think Davis will be active in case there are signs of trouble. No more Hurst. The way its been reported lewis will be the LT and Urschel will get the nod which I think is a very wise decision.  Kendrick Lewis might actually be inactive as well and like you said should've been done last game Levine will backup Webb. Another safety was brought in and hes probably not up to speed yet but they are basically putting kendrick on notice and letting him know he is expendable if he cant do his job. We got tired of waiting around on maxx to get healthy and finally cut the cord for the season. I just think harbs has lost his patience and is going to stray away from the norm and start making more rash decisions (which in a lot of cases are actually the RIGHT decisions) ..he already said we weren't taking on anymore project players and from here on out I think players will have a lot less leeway and when mistakes are made you will see guys get pulled immediately and have a fresh spot on the bench.

i said a while ago it seemed like harbaugh had changed the philosophy, and it looks like he got comfortable with the 3-0 start and strayed away from his new style(aside from the forsett cut) and it cost us a loss. too little preparation, yet too much decision making come game time, the result is a team with massive holes sprinkled throughout and overcoaching during the game leading to stupid moves like accepting the penalty.

lets hope harbaugh decides that hes done settling for veteran presence and nothing more and opts for performance instead.

Yeah hopefully the other shoe finally officially dropped and he doesn't revert back. A lot of  signs pointing towards a change but we will see come Sunday if he's really all in or not.

Did Bene go unclaimed? It looks that way to me. If so I'd really like to sign him. I'm kinda surprised he wasn't claimed  and was even cut.

Haven't seen any news on him. We should at least bring him in for a visit.
