With the O line under construction and Joe not happy about the play calling I really feel they are gonna take it out on the skins and so on! We could be 1-3 2-2 or worse 0-4 but we're not so I know I've been hard on Joe for his leadership but he knows what this season really means and Sunday was a minor setback for a Major comeback! From day one I've been screaming "Keep slinging that Rock" with alot of negativity and complaining about the run game! The pass opens up the run so Joe SLING THAT ROCK SUNDAY! Keep Juice back there to help block and he can slide out and get a pass and get chunks also! Joe gotta start pointing the finger at himself sometimes because his ball location has been off with all that arm he got! Like Yanda said a year or so let's all "EMBRACE THE GRIND"!
BOSSES!

Well any OC with half a clue would have his QB audible to a run if they are going to play 2 safeties and/or clear out the box. Should really be automatic to say the least. It's the same idea as taking your shot deep if you got single man to man on the outside with no safety over top.

Of course has has a quick release - that's Trestman's dink and dunk offense coupled with no line protection. Even if he had the protection, he's often not stepping into his throws and is off-target down the field (the beautiful pass to Wallace in the opener being the glaring exception).

Yes, Joe does not have the hustle he needs to be effective right now. I would start telling him if he can't go full speed, Mallett plays. Not stepping into your throws is a bad habit that leads to interceptions and inaccuracy issues. Also would indicate his knee is not back to normal. It might be healthy and all, but he's not trusting it fully yet by hesitating to step into his throws.

This type of article males me think the coaches and Joe are nuts. He has just come off ACL/MCL surgery, just got the crap beat out cause his line could block for 3 seconds and he and coaches want more deep passes. Unbelievable!

You need better pass protection and a running game to setup play action.

Actually play action is setup just on the run being effective. Pass protection helps, helps they reason PA works is due to misdirection to give you just enough of a window to roll out and find your target for a strike. If anything PA can help out a when protection is not great.

Run game issues are on Juan Castillo. Since he got here, run game has declined steadily. He might be good at teaching the pass pro but run blocking does not show the same kind of results and it has been some time he has been here now with a good body of work to look at. I think he needs to rethink that department.

Trestman needs to get this offense playing fast. They look/seem out of sync and cannot establish a rhythm easily. Not sure the cause but seriously start copying the better offenses if necessary. There is too much invested into this offense to not produce much better results.

Harbaurgh needs to cut the dumb penalties out however it needs to get done. Just like last year it will often be the difference of winning and losing and we have seen that reminder even early into the season.

It was made crystal clear sunday that this offense cannot thrive without a run game, and we play the best when we have a more balanced attack. 1st half- nothing, 2nd half- dangerous offense in rhythm. All bc we ran the ball. I think we take this and run with it. Teams still can't figure us out, they don't know our strengths and weaknesses, they don't know if we can run the ball, pass protect, go deep or not. I have full confidence we take what we learned sunday, we run the ball to establish a rhythm, O-line keeps Joe clean, and we take the occasional deep shot. Raiders game proved we ARE capable of blocking well and running the ball. Can't wait for Redskins game.

I can understand them wanting Joe to get the throw out fast. Although, 2.4 seconds seems ridiculously fast. No wonder they're throwing so many dink and dunks. Nothing else has time to develop.

There is no wide receiver in the world who can run a 10 yard crossing pattern to the middle of the field, a 15 yard slant or a 20 yard out in 2.4 seconds, much less get down the field deep.

If that's all the time they have in the pocket, then they have to move the pocket to create time. How about a couple designed rollouts like Kubiak used frequently.

The Ravens game plan of dump off passes sucks. Where is all this speed we read endless articles about? How can we not throw the ball past the first down marker on third down. Time and time again the Ravens throw short of the first down and come up short. You would think by now, after 8 games, in would have sunk in. Just a dumb game plan. Oh, and put Perriman out there, let him drop a few more passes, then start making excuses. It worked with Elam for a few years. Why not Perriman? Some number one draft picks. Both of them stink.

We all know Joe, we know who Joe is, we know what type of guy he is as far as speaking his mind. For Flacco to come out and say anything, and this is the second time he has said something about chunk plays, must mean that there is really a problem. Joe is a quiet guy so for him to come out twice now, once in a press conference and once on the sideline to Trestman, it would be like any other player standing on a table and screaming.

Trestmans offense is not a good fit for Joe and his arm. Joe is not accurate short. However, he used to hit Mason on 15 yard out routes with no issue, he used to hit Pitta down the seam for 30 yards, he used to throw over top to Torrey Smith, he used to drop a pretty 30 yard wheel route out to Rice. These are all historical examples of what Joe is capable of and is good at. Nothing that Trestman has Joe doing is something that favors his skill set. Now it is drop off here, quick slant, wr screen, end around, flea flicker, trick plays.  That isnt Joe Flacco.

If the offense, with this much talent, more talent at the skill positions than we have ever had, if this offense doesn't do anything against the Redskins who are ranked 30th against the run, then they have to reconsider whether Trestman is the guy to get it done here. Lets fact the fact that Trestman just cant change who he is overnight and what we have seen is who Trestman is, so to instill change, they are going to have to get a better OC, or at least one whose ideas mesh with the talent the Ravens have. Trestman is a supposed genius, but I haven't seen anything that I haven't seen 1000 times. Because he made this system work with Cutler, doesn't mean its a good system for Flacco.

Oh, deep shots, eh? You mean like the several we should have taken against the worst ranked pass D in the NFL, with three speedy WRs on our roster, but didn't almost the entire game? That game was super winnable, but our offense was the most stale, predictable, dink and dunk nonsense I've seen. Our WRs aren't amazing by any stretch of the imagination. But we should have been able to tear that OAK secondary up.

Exactly! We are still so predictable on offense, it's pathetic. The fact that Flacco threw 52 passes against the worst secondary in football and still didn't crack 300 yards says it all.
