[News] Ravens Statement On Fan Injured In Stadium Fight

11 posts in this topic

This sad happening is a perfect time for the Ravens to bust up the selling of tickets to the other team's fan's... Since 1998 at the new stadium, yesterday was the most fan's with the other teams color's that I have ever seen... Sure, you should be able to sell your tickets to anyone at any price, but, you should be held responsible for the action's of who bought them... You want to sell your tickets and double the face value of them, then you should lose them if something happens..... This weekend should be the same... Lots of Redskin fans paying lots of money to someone to get tickets for the game, getting drunk, cussing at anyone and everyone.. small kid's included...

I'm a avid Ravens fan and just love football in general, but as a father I will no longer bring my son to games.  I used to go to 3-4 games a year and when my son was old enough I couldn't wait to bring him too.  It's interesting what happens when you go to a game as a responsible parent opposed to as a fan.  I had different filters going with my son and I noticed a lot while at the game in the role of father.  First the crowds getting in were aggressive and we had several men and women push my son aside to gain a better place in line going into the stadium.  I can deal with that, I'm 6'6" and 260lbs I kept him in front of me after that and was able to shield him from the crowd.  Once we got into the stadium it was easier to move around with him and we made our way to the seats.  The next issue that I experienced was that of language.  The foul language that I had clearly always just ignored was really bad, and even when people sitting around us asked others to please watch their language they were told what they could do to themselves.  Last was just an overall drunkenness that was everywhere.  As I looked around with my dad filters on I couldn't help but wonder if half these fans would even remember the game they came to see.

This rowdy drunken behavior that has become a part of football is ridiculous.  This is supposed to be entertainment.  People need to sober up, relax and enjoy the game.  My heart goes out to Joseph Bauer and his family, and I have to wonder if he or his family like me will ever go again.  The best seat in the house is on my couch.

Now that the NFL gets a piece of the action through the ticket exchange this will never stop. When the stadium opened the internet for tickets really didn't exist. Now it does. The same way our fans get into stadiums around the country.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. There is never a reason for this. I have been to MANY games and have never seen an issue like this. Arguments? Yes, but no violence. My heart breaks for this man and his family.

the way it was told in the other artical the guy hit his head on the concrete after being struck, its sad,but others walked away,he was an ex marine,he went down with his boots on,i don't condone any violence, but the ravens can't have controlled it,they'd have to have security everywhere and thats not possible,id say the one thing is that they should post is if you see drunk unruly people,go to security, they should investigate them.i'm also not sure if it was retaliation of some sort from a new york fan being attacked at an orioles game.raiders fans are a big favorite of bikers, gang bangers and thugs.

Stop selling alcoholic beverages, or limit people to only one.  The real fans will still come to the games and the idiots will stay home.
