[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Oakland Raiders

Our Oline really missed stanley today and I dont even know how jensen is on an NFL roster some of the worst blocking ive ever seen we should cut him when waller comes back next week he just cant play the game

Our fans really miss the run game.

Ozzie Newsome and them guys must have been drunk for still thinking Forsett was a #1 back. I said months ago that we shoulda man'd up and gone in a different directio. I even kept vying for them to bring back Rice if nothing else. I know this is just one loss, one game. But I Swear i have a better outlook on players (SOMETIMES) than them. It's like they ruined the run game on purpose. Thats how i saw it. Daniel Brown is another player I have been vying for, but for some reason he can't get fair playing time. Thats a guy that really knows how to catch the ball. Which very likely could have helped us a lot today.

Backup left side of the line nearly got Joe killed. No zone blocking like under Kubiak (it is not illegal, Denver and Atlanta still use it effectively). Harbs had to say something at halftime like run the ball 10 straight times or you are fired, and then when it worked and Trestman saw Oakland couldn't stop it he switched to straight passes to end the game. Trestman panicked and went to the only thing he knows, passing. Trestman should go and Castillo should go, right along with benching of Wright who can't cover anyone.

Every QB I've seen throw under heavy pressure we not special Joe cost us the game PERIOD!

Purple Dawg you didn't watch the game if you really think this, the line was more like a bunch of turnstiles giving free runners at Joe all day. It is shocking he was only sacked twice and hit six times. Joes ability to escape and throw the ball away hid how badly he was pressured the entire game. When the ultimatum was given to run the ball that was what opened up the passing game. If you can't see this you need some help interpreting the game you are watching.

Offense, defense, special teams, dumb penalties and 2 bad decisions by Harbaugh, a recipe for a loss every time......it's a wonder Flacco didn't get killed with Jensen and Hurst out there.

UGH! Gooo away Trustmen who i don't trust. Flacco....pull a Big Ben and call the plays that work for the offense,if Trustmen call something stupid audible based on what the defense gives you. SOOOOO damn simple because Flacco had no time to set his feet most of the game, help him out with extra blockers. Nooo WE CAN'T DO THAT NOW CAN WE!

There is no wall of china in the NFL so to keep blaming Trestman just doesn't fly anymore Joe stunk it up PERIOD! All these other QBs throwing under heavy pressure so why can't Joe?! HUH?!

I'm going to chalk you up to being upset about the game outcome. You clearly didn't see the passes where Joe was great under pressure today. The line and horrid play calling is why we lost.

EXCUSE ME, but all of you complaining right now, which is like 95% of everyone on the site, sound like a bunch of whiney kids who just got their feeling hurt and are venting about it. I didn't hear any of this the last 3 weeks when we won, lose a game for the first time and the organization and entire coaching staff is a "bonehead moron." SHUT UP!!!!! Yes we have problems, but are yall seriously questioning our QB who's been with us for 8 years and the 2nd most wins in the league in that span? There's only 1 true thing wrong with this team, and it's the O- line. They allowed pressure on Joe every snap, they committed a bunch of penalties, and they didn't create running lanes until the 2nd half. Yes we throw too much, but wk 1, was a defensive grudge match, wk2, we had to play catch up down by 20 points, wk 3, the O-line run blocking sucked and Forsett
underperformed.

So what was Trestman to do? However I think we will have a much more balanced attack now that we have clarity at rb, and we seen for the first time, that the run game exist and it can be pretty effective. Yes Joe seems off at times, but what is he to do, when every time he gets the ball in his hands he's getting pressured, can't step into his throw, has to throw the ball away, can't establish a groove, can't get comfortable, or can't adjust or make the throw he wants bc someone's about to hit him. Don't forget he's just 9 months outta knee surgery, physically he may be alright, but mentally not 100%. Stop blaming him all the time. Plus he can throw but he can't catch, Moore needs to take a seat, and though hit, Aiken dropped the ball. Juszczyk doesn't take the best angles to catch the ball either.

Yes we keep getting off to a slow start,
but in order to start fast we need the O-line to protect, keep pressure to a minimum, and open run lanes, which hasn't been happening. On defense the only weaknesses are Wright an Lewis, but I see Wright getting benched soon, and Lewis is a backup who only seen the field bc Webb left. The only other issue is we stay in shotgun too much, I think we need to mix up the formations. But besides that, it's that O-line. So stop crying, stop calling ppl out, calling for ppl to get fired, blaming our qb who I think is great, clutch, reliable, and does the best he can do. We need to be positive and support our team. O-line needs to be fixed, that's it. R-E-L-A-X.

Amen! I'd love to see Flacco with the Cowboy's line

Oline gave him no time to throw and WR dropped balls. On game winning drives the only time flacco doesnt get the job done is when our WR group lets him down they did it once again, I miss anqouan boldins sure handedness. He wouldve made a catch on that last drive. Also, our rookie lineman stanley and alex lewis let the team down today, If they want to be in this league as lineman their going to have to suck it up and play through pain and stop being soft. Our oline was trash without them

Yah Stanley played that bench position so bad

this team is embarrassing to watch. there is absolutely no tenacity or aggressive mindset by the offense outside of SSS. oh well, we pissed away another scoring chance, we'll get em next time.. if you can't get your offense going at home, and it is lethargic every single game for 2 quarters, for 5 seasons in a row, through 3 offensive coordinators, and many personnel, there is a major problem. no matter who is there, the same problems exist. the only constants are flacco and harbaugh. he has had enough time to make this work, i think harbs is gone if they fail to make the playoffs. i predict they lose their next 3 and go into the bye 3-4. if that happens we may not get to 6 wins and he would surely be done.

Was Doom even out there this game? I didn't really see any of our D Line do Jack either! And fans have every right to complain about BS like we had to witness! How do you take a fourth down stop away, to give them another free down? (Rhetorical) I saw it earlier in the game with a third down as well! We are calling it what it is: piss-poor coaching, and Harbs admitted as much.

Why isn't there a revolving door opposite of Jimmy right now? Is Will Davis not good/healthy enough to start at CB? What about Young or even Powers? Why do we have to watch the same guy get victimized every time? Don't you think it might at least help to see if it's just him as the weak link or not?

Imagine Flacco having that Raiders o-line. He will have a field day.

One can dream. Hell, I'd be happy to just have KO back

Interesting how you neglected to mention that Mack was busy steamrolling Joe while he was trying to get the ball out, due to the absolute crap job by our OL

The last series is a microcosm of what is wrong with this offense. First another dropped pass, then a short arm throw in the dirt at a wide open receiver by Flacco, and finally a beautiful pass, threading the needle to Aiken, but he gets hit hard and can't hold on. This game was anyone's to win or lose.
I actually think Harbaugh made the right choices both times, the attempted 2 point conversion that Flacco once again failed to throw over the defender, and the acceptance of the penalty instead of giving Oakland a field goal.
The defense reverted back to last year when they gave up passes to receivers who got behind their safties. Once Weddle went out and Kendrick Lewis came in, we were finished.
Oh and that Perriman drops another ball on the first pass thrown his way. Yeah, a real asset this one.

The interior line play on both sides of the ball needs to step it up.... The league office needs to check Crabtree for banned Bilentikoff stickum.

FIRE TRESTMAN

I would like to know whats it going to take for Harbs to tell Trestman..look this us hiw we do it in Baltimore.."We Run it 30x and throw it 35x" "Hey Trestman no more throwing it 50x a week your going to get Joe killed"

Im not going to be able to sleep tonight knowing the better team lost today..because of inept OC and bad coaching...

Fire Trestman..Fire Trestman..Fire Trestman

Im going to dream of a competant OC..someone not named Trestman

5 Takeaways...
1) Trestman is Inept
2) Trestman will be Responsible for Joe getting injured again, throwing 50x a game.
3) Any other legit OC "who can actually read a game" and is not allergic to the run game, the ravens are still undefeated
4) Ravens Defense played their backsides off. I counted atleast 4-5 3&outs and several more key stops. Aleast 4-5 empty possessions for Oakland in which The Ravens offense did 0.
5) Joe got killed all day because Hurst&Jensson were horrible with a capital H, and multiple penalties messed up the offense, which goes back to Trestman not "Running the ball more"

Everything points to Trestmans ineptness

Thank you!

We 3-1 now when we could have been 4-0, let this be a lesson, stop the stupid penalties that you know will hurt us, we gave them too much time to throw the ball and we let punt returners get through to many times, the OL needs to give Flacco a little more time to throw the ball, and Flacco missed receivers too many times, yes, sloppiness, sloppiness trifecta!!! But the real bad part about this is, this could have all been avoided, if everyone had done their job, let this be a lesson!!! But it's still early in the season and you can't win them all, GO RAVENS!!!

The Ravens corners let too many receivers get behind them and catch balls for touchdowns and we just dropped the ball to many times and dropped balls will not help us win games, but Steve Smith Sr. played his butt off again and even with all the mistakes we made we still had a chance to win the game, but we blew it and we can't afford to do that too many times if we expect to make the playoffs and win a Superbowl!!!

So if the pocket is collapsing why doesn't Joe slide up to a open spot or move the pocket like I see Big Ben and Andy Dalton do?! They move around extend the play to get results and the O line did good enough to get the run game going so why can't Joe run a flea flicker and miss an open WR?! I am losing confidence in Joe and he needs to step his game up because teams will always rush the edges and if he doesn't keep his head on a swivel teams will continue to get behind him and cause more sacks and fumbles!

Ravens are who we thought they were --- an 8-8 team in need of more talent and better coordinators.

8-8 is awful optimistic, 6-10 is at this point.. that's if they beat the jets and washington. if not, pretty much everyone else is better than oakland on the schedule and it's very likely that the only other win achieved will be against the browns.. sadly that is the more likely scenario at this point. on the bright side of that we would get another top 10 pick and hopefully marc trestman will be applying at his local mcdonalds for a job cause he is pretty bad at offensive football. said it last year and will say it again, the coming of marc trestman was the 2nd coming of cam cameron. apparently the managemnt didn't watch and tapes of the terrible chicago offense when he was coach.

Loss is on Trestman. Guy is inept. Fire Trestman. Your ramming it down their throats over 100yrds with West. And continuously game in&game out 45 to 50 passes hes going to get Joe killed. You have backups in, who are below avg at best. Holding call after holding call...gave Hurst&Jensson little to no help.

Pathetic coaching

Running game was working yet on the 3yd line, 3 passes?? SMH The OL  has not been very good since game1. 10 penalties for over 100 yds. SMH.

3-1 is still very good, but wow! it should be 4-0
