[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Oakland Raiders

n#7 I agree 100%, we had absolutely no "pass rush." At times Derrick Carr had all day in the pocket to go to 2, 3 or 4 receivers as he moved around in the pocket before finding someone open. Joe Flacco was off today too, especially early in the game. He overthrew and underthrew receivers at times. I think we really did get hurt by that 15 yr taunting penalty by Wallace. I know he was fired up but he's gotta do a better job of knowing how far to go with his emotions and celebrating. And then the other thing was, we dropped too many balls: Chris Moore, Bredshaw Perriman. On 4th and 10, do or die...you gotta get beyond the sticks and must absolutely come down with that ball!!!

Part of the problem with the punt return team was that Kamar Aiken did not have a good day. He was first one down and missed the tackle on the long punt return. He was at the 2 yard line on a later punt and did not track the ball so it hit next to him on the two yard line and bounced into the end zone for a touchback. He later had a penalty on a fair catch that gave them 15 yards out from what would have been a punt inside the 10 yard line.

There is plenty enough blame to go around.

Backup left side of the line nearly got Joe killed. No zone blocking like under Kubiak (it is not illegal, Denver and Atlanta still use it effectively). Harbs had to say something at halftime like run the ball 10 straight times or you are fired, and then when it worked and Trestman saw Oakland couldn't stop it he switched to straight passes to end the game. Trestman panicked and went to the only thing he knows, passing. Trestman should go and Castillo should go, right along with benching of Wright who can't cover anyone.

Every QB I've seen throw under heavy pressure we not special Joe cost us the game PERIOD!

The positives from this game are that Ravens will battle for 60 minutes. They never quit and can hang tough. The defense held the #2 offense under 100 yards rushing and under 200 yards passing. How did we lose....

1. Trestman: He does not have any concern for the running game or Joe’s Health. 52 passes will not win games for most QBs, but definitely not Joe. At one point there were 18 passes in a row.

You would think after coming off an ACL/MCL injury your coordinator would make protecting Joe a priority. He does not add TEs or RBs to support the same backups on the O-line that got Joe hurt last season. Inexcusable.

2. Joe: He is Mr. Hot and Cold. He runs the plays as they are called and seems like he does not adjust.
52 passes and he still does not pass 300 yards. With all these weapons, that is also unacceptable.

On the other side, Carr with only 3 years of experience, threw 35 times, for 4 TDs, and a 123 QB rating.

3. Coaching: Are they arrogant or just poor decision makers?
Going for 2 early in the game when your offense is struggling is a head scratcher.
Also, removing a 4th down on an offense that is ranked #2 in the league. SMH?

Has backups on the online and still insisted or calling pass play after pass play.

Wright got exposed. Why no switch? Was there any doubt when Webb got hurt they would go to Lewis side?

4. Offense line: Hurst and Jensen are terrible. Zuttah has been playing subpar. There is no question why a rookie like Lewis beat out the veterans. They stink. Joe won’t last with Hurst out there.

5. Penalties: Killed drives today. Raiders had fewer yards, less time of Possession, less plays, more hits on our QB. They won in the trenches Raiders ran the ball 19 times cause they knew Wright was a weakness they could target.

I think that pretty much sums it up

Like I said, all eyes need to turn to Trestman..it's his offense and it's not working.

I think all eyes have been on Trestman since game one.

The run/pass balance has to change. But we have fallen behind early for 3 straight games and that gives Trestman reason to throw. We've been playing catch up and this week it finally caught up. If we fail to beat DC next week I would do what Rex did in Buffalo before it's too late. Get a new OC. We need all the wins we can get before the final 4 games to have any chance of making the playoffs.

Key take of tonight::

You won't win many games in the NFL if you don't have an O-line.

Won't win many games in the NFL without a pass rush. Our trenches are questionable at best.

UGH! Gooo away Trustmen who i don't trust. Flacco....pull a Big Ben and call the plays that work for the offense,if Trustmen call something stupid audible based on what the defense gives you. SOOOOO damn simple because Flacco had no time to set his feet most of the game, help him out with extra blockers. Nooo WE CAN'T DO THAT NOW CAN WE!

What are we going to do when we start facing the good teams? This better be a wake up call to Harbaugh. We might be lucky enough to go 8-8 without a major change. If we don't beat the Skins, one better happen.

Blaming Trestman not gonna fly Joe did a flea flicker and missed a open receiver Joe didn't move the pocket and got sacked causing a fumble Joe stunk it up PERIOD! Those whom blame Trestman for Joe's blunders need seek medical attention because all we needed was a first down PERIOD! SMH! Defense did their job Joe didn't! Ryan Mallet needs to be ready because Joe just doesn't have the any type of motivation what so ever but finding excuses! Trestman fault?! PLEASE he not throwing the ball Joe is and he stunk! PERIOD!

Had a feeling we would loose this game. #2 ranked offense their going to score points and with the joke that trestman is at calling plays I knew we wouldnt be able to keep up. And with this team not knowing who it wants at WR, whats with the revolving door at WR? we need decide on a top 3 and those guys need to play the entire game. If we keep subbing guys in and out how can they get in a rhythm? T. West said the same thing at RB. hey some guys just arent going to get to play, aw well. and no more chris moore, he just not ready for this stage yet.

And aiken was the best of a bad situation last year, this year we have all of our people back so hes not going to get on the field, aw well. This team needs to stop forcing guys on the field. Decide who our best guys are and give them the most if not all the time on the field. And what a surprise sharrecce wright still cant cover anybody, He got picked on yet again and I think our coaching staff is even loosing faith in him because they played prevent defense on oaklands last drive and crabtree still beat him haha hes garbage

Joe had a flea flicker and missed a wide open WR but I guess that's Trestman fault! All they had to do is get a 1st down and Joe didn't get it done PERIOD!

Gotta at least acknowledge how good their o-line is. Going into this game Carr was only sacked twice... That's pretty impressive

Oline gave him no time to throw and WR dropped balls. On game winning drives the only time flacco doesnt get the job done is when our WR group lets him down they did it once again, I miss anqouan boldins sure handedness. He wouldve made a catch on that last drive. Also, our rookie lineman stanley and alex lewis let the team down today, If they want to be in this league as lineman their going to have to suck it up and play through pain and stop being soft. Our oline was trash without them
