Hmmmm... Suggs For An Oscar?

24 posts in this topic

Not sure how many of you saw "on the spot" on MASN... Anyway, it basically puts players on the spot with off the wall questions and what not... So, the question came up months ago.. Something to the ffect of "Whats something you can do well, that people don't know about you?" What was Suggs answer? "I can ACT.... " He went on to talk about some production company he started and how he would love to be an actor once his playing days are over.AND HOW HE THINKS HE'S A VERY GOOD ONE....... HHMMMMM. Please tell me THIS IS SIZZLES ATTEMPT AT AN NFL OSCAR!!!!

Please Sizzle, we need you man!

I think he's had the production company for a little while. This is his long term plans not what he's doing next year.

If only...

If this was some hoax, then Sizzle wouldn't have sat out the second half of the Tennessee game.

He can AFTER he retires.

No official final report has been submitted. Not to mention, look at what I posted as well about this very same situation. Since you live in Chicago, you don't get to hear our local radio spots.

Suggs has had his own production company for a while; he talked frequently about it on BR.com, and he even had his own weekly film review feature last season, I believe. He's a big film buff, and it's not surprising that he'd be doing this on the side. Most football players have interests outside of football that they're looking to pursue once their playing days are done. Trevor Pryce writes screenplays and has already sold one or two (according to the Baltimore Sun), and Derrick Mason is looking to get into broadcasting.

lol Everyone who is injured is just acting and are 100% healthy and we come out and steam roll the stealing steelers?

i like that! or the reality is we're going to have to have a lot of heart to fill in for our broken bodies.

I don't think it'll matter if Suggs is faking the severity of the injury for gamesmanship purposes, because if the Steelers are smart, they'll gameplan for him anyway (which I'm 98% certain they will).

I would be suprised if Suggs doesn't play or at least try. This is the game that means almost as much as the SB... *almost*! I can't imagine a player of that calliber on that D not stapling his arm on and putting on the gear.

I agree. They plan on him playing, I'm sure of it. Mainly because no final injury report has been submitted. As long as Suggs name doesn't appear in the "OUT" section of the report, he'll have a chance to play.

You know, I'd like to believe that too but in this age of the NFL a players health during a contract year (especially a young player like Suggs) could mean more to him financially than winning a championship at this point in his career.

I don't know Suggs personally so I couldn't tell you one way or the other on how he feels about the situation.

I really wish I still had Photoshop. I would totally crop Suggs' head over Clint Eastwoods in a Gran Torino poster.

Yea and maybe they have already worked out an idea on how to keep him here and havent released it to the press... He is one of our bigger concerns and all 3 linebackers (Ray, Bart, Terrel) have expressed interest in wanting to retire a Raven. All it takes is a little salary cut.

Who knows what will happen.

For those of you thinking they are playing this off, and he is fine.

1) Why would be go out and not play in the Titans game, to set up for the Steelers on him being injured? This makes no sense, because when he went out we were getting wrecked on giving up yards.
2) It doesn't matter, the Steelers will still game plan against him.
3) It doesn't matter, even if the Steelers do NOT game plan against him, they know him well enough.
