Saw an article rating o-lines and somehow they had the redskins listed one notch higher than the raiders o-line. I believe the raiders only allowed 2 sacks and the redskins allowed 7, so perhaps it was the hits & hurries (don't think article mentioned them)

Anyway, do you guys think we'll get some pressure on the QB this game?

The Raiders are so low on sacks  given up because they're constantly holding. It's probably the lack of penalties that catapults the skins past them.

We Can't have Hurst starting again. He disrupts our entrie offense. He CANT PLAY!

I think it's gonna be Urshel at G and Lewis at T.

Ronnie Stanley misses no games in college, now missing his second straight NFL game. Why won't this injury bug leave us alone, go bother someone else, like the Patriots.

So history says if we lose tomorrow, the rest of the season won't matter as it is a lock we win the Super Bowl. I like to think we can reverse it, beat the Redskins AND win the Super Bowl.

Ravens 21

Redskins 19

Only matters if we lose to the skins at their home. We can beat them at the bank and still make it to the show.

We've actually been pretty fortunate on the injury front. Take a look around  the league- compared to other teams we're actually in really good shape.  Stanley is also healthy enough to play they are just being cautious with our #6 pick.

And pleeeeeease, not another one score game!!! My heart cannot take it.

Haven't made a prediction yet - I'm going to be bold, we are long, long overdue for a comfortable win, I think we'll get it this week 27-7. They've got no run game and unlike the last two weeks I don't hate Wright on either of their starters. Doom with another week of play I think he gets his first sack of the season, their defense is atrocious so I think Trestman actually learns from last week and he goes in with the plan we ran with in the second half against the Raiders and we have our way with their defense. Run game gets established early with mostly West with some Dixon sprinkled in and then we start gashing them with play actions. Big game for Wallace against their second string CB, Pitta has a good day against those LBs, and West has a good 70 yard day on 16 carries.

Maybe with Washington's severe lack of run game Pees will finally get a little creative with the sets, throw in some extra DBs here and there, let Levine get some playing time.

I was thinking this myself. Compared to the Chargers and Bears, we're pretty good on injuries. Really the only big season-ending loss we've incurred so far is when Watson went down in preseason (no offense to Maxx or Carl Davis, but we didn't really need them). There's been little injuries here and there, but nothing that derails an entire season like last year.

I don't understand why everyone is ragging on ZDS so much. Yes, he's thrown into playing time at OLB simply because we are extremely thin out there.

The guy is a 4th round talent ( I believe that is when we drafted him). It's the front offices job to get better guys in here. The dude is giving it all he can if you watch the film. That's the only reason he had sacks last year is bc he has an endless motor and if a play broke down he never quit.

The facts still remain that he is extremely slow off of the ball and lacks the pass rushing technique/skill to be a very good player in the league.

That is bold considering we just struggle with putting teams away. I'm just hoping Trestman takes advantage of the bad run defense the Redskins have and let West and co run wild on them. Crowell last week went for 120 yards and 1 TD on them. Hopefully West can have a similar game. Would like to see us do to the Redskins what the Steelers did and let West and co run all over them and just rout them for the win.

I'm happy he won't be, even if it was one game enough is enough when it comes to putting up with players who just aren't good.

Just an observation: Last week about this time (1 day before the game at 3-0) there was seemingly much more interest in the up-coming game. This week there seems to be much more forum interests in the game that was (last week). Check the numbers. Double the conversation. Highest this season.

Is it a lack of interest laced in apathy, empathy or non-belief in this team or season? Is it just that we prefer to criticize rather than focus on the positive? Or is it something else? I hope it gets better, because win or lose these are our Ravens and in my heart - we always have the ability to win the next. The last game is a done deal - win or lose. Beat Washington.

GO Ravens!!! We got this.

To be honest, if you were living under a rock for the past several weeks and you decided to check out how the Baltimore Ravens were doing after not watching any type of football, you'd assume we were 0-4, looking at this forum.

Good point. A valet point. Though I think it's possibly got something to do with doubt over actuality. Last season was a perfect storm of 'whatever bad can happen - happened...' but this is not the case so far this season. We're healthier with more talent, more continuity, improving weekly and in position to compete with most teams in the league tomorrow and win. If the progress and a little luck (unlike last season) continues at this rate I can comfortable see that changing to '...any team in the league and win.". There's no doubt that we could and should have a great opportunity to beat Washington Sunday (per almost every pregame prediction), so what gives?

Any given Sunday anything is possible, but shouldn't just that only in this case drive us away from last week to the possibility of this one?

I just say: "We got this." until it's proven differently (especially this season).

GO Ravens!

I have been tempted to tap out a few times this week due to overreaction, extreme negativity and the thought that the season is riding on a non conference game in week five.

There is little to entice me into conversation.

There's  just so much negativity. "We're the number one defense." "YEAH BUT." "Well, we're 3-1." "YEAH BUT." If anybody thought this team was gonna come out of camp, hitting on all cylinders, then they were only fooling themselves. Two rookies on the left side. Flacco back from ACL. Our starting HB from a year ago, gone. Perriman is basically a rookie. Wallace is new. Pitta is back after two years. I think the offense will gradually get better. If the offense is still sputtering weeks from now, I might be a bit concerned.

Agreed. What gets me is we're pretty much in the same position at this point of the season as our last Super Bowl 2012 team statistically with a history of always being in the playoff hunt for a great majority of the time (with the exception of last year) in the Ozzie/Harbugh Era.

If those same dudes from the NFL network (video posted earlier in this thread) have completely changed their tune from the 1st week to this week of season (check week one broadcast...Anti-Ravens brutal) and are now picking us to make some noise - why so much negativity here?

I'm all in right now. Not to repeat 2012, but to win this next one at the very least. After this one just repeat the statement that preceded this one until we are statically eliminated from the playoffs.  See - there's some 'positive' here to talk about.

Not sure if I saw it in this thread, but I hope we can clean up the penalties early in the game. I felt that damn near every time we made a play that led to a first down, it got negated because of a penalty (holding, OPI, etc.).

What does the Wizard see this week for Flacco and Perriman?

Honestly I am totally unimpressed with Perriman. In fact at this point he is a complete wash and has only proven he was definitely not a #1 pick. As for Flacco I anticipate the usual game from Joe. Nothing spectacular and constantly on his horse because we basically have one of  the worst O-Line's in football.

I also don't understand all the hoopla about Kenneth Dixon. He is nothing special. It doesn't matter what our RB situation is. Running back by committee never works . What about Trent Richardson? I am still lmao about that whole fiasco. What about the Forsette farce. Sign him, cut him, resign him, cut him again. It's embarrassing.

We don't match up well against the Redskins. They have superior personnel. However we got Trestman who actually looks more like a bad grandpa type character. Sort of reminds of Joe Paterno. Be happy I'm not in charge because there would be a gaggle of guys looking for new jobs.

No freaking way.

Spend the day with your negativity? Not a chance.

What you call negativity is actually reality. Too bad you can't see it. Have fun in oblivion. At least it gives you something to hold onto huh?

The penalties on the OL are the absolute worst. This offense isn't talented enough to overcome 1st and 20 or 2nd and 15 and expect to get a first down. Really kills the drive, and that's a big reason why we start slow.

The two are not mutually exclusive.  You somehow think they are.  I guess that is what being so negative all the time will do to your outlook on pretty much everything.

Reality or not you are very negative.

Furthermore I am hardly oblivious, I see just fine.  Either way, I feel better living in a more positive and hopefull light than I would having a reality that is all doom and gloom.  It must be draining really.

Anybody else feel we may lose this game against the Skins? Somehow after last week I'm not feeling bullish about our chances.
