Latest forecasts have the storm making a right turn and NOT impacting us in Maryland.  Hope that holds true.

Agreed, mine shows only a 2℅ chance of rain right now and 10-13 mph winds

I think in light of the topic at hand and the humor quality of this post, I think the mods should allow this non football related meme to be posted.

Wow I'm surprised to read this post because we finally agree on something. The responsibility for this madness begins at the top. Average talent, draft busts and lack of execution are because of poor leadership. The formula that has worked in the past obviously doesn't work now. When a house is shabbily  constructed , tear it down and rebuild.

Slow your roll there tiger, I definitely don't agree with you in the ladder comments.  Blowing up a team hardly works and I believe we have core pieces to develop our team.  Unlike you, I understand that things cant change over night, blowing up rosters result in Brown's type years and is not the way to build a franchise.  And me saying I don't believe we are that good of a team is speaking currently, as in the present, we still have a lot of adjustments to make and yet we are finding ways to win.  I have a positive outlook while you have already given up...

Any word if we will wear the black jerseys?  I know in past years, our "pink" game we wore black.

Guess we'll find out when the Game Thread is posted.

Early predictions seem to favor the Ravens in this one. That said, there aren't many story-lines being discussed around the league to drum-up more interest except for Ravens and Washington forum chatter (Note: Whatever you do - don't go to the Washington forum. Wow. It's beyond description.).

The SSS and Josh Norman 'Trash Talk' buzz is being thrown around, but I don't think that narrative will have any life considering they most likely won't match-up.

Interesting. If we get this one we'll be 4-1 and at the very least 1st ranked in the toughest division in the league, but there's been nothing but...crickets...throughout the league. What would become the narrative once we get this one? In hindsight, that's okay with me. We know what's up. Go Ravens!!!

Based on what I've read, they are considering moving the game to Tennessee.

I believe we've seen this in the past, where they will relocate games to other cities.

Latest example of this? Jets vs. Bills in Detroit on Monday Night around the same time we played against the Saints in 2014.

Okay, a year or two ago when we played the skins in pre season, Steve Smith got into a fight with someone on the skins for a very dirty tackle.  Steve got ejected.  Who was that Redskins player ? Is he still on the team ?

It really irks me that some people act as if Will Davis is some sort of savior and should be our #2 CB no questions asked. He played one full game for us against a Vick led, Bryant-less Steelers team. Who knows if he would have continued to play well against an actual #2 WR, it's impossible to say but crowning him the clear #2 and better than Wright after such a small sample size is preposterous.

There will probably be a little more chatter on the national front but still people saying that we haven't proven ourselves.

We still haven't beaten a team with a winning record even if we do win this one.

We have only played 1 team with a winning record and lost.

There will be a lot of talk about the Ravens later in the season because we probably have the hardest closing schedule in the entire league. I'll be surprised if they are favored to win 1 or 2 of the last 7-8 games.

It was Chris Culliver after Keenan Robinson did a pile driver to Aiken.....Don't see him on their roster.

He's on the Giants now, so we have to wait one week for that

Actually just did an edit. Read it further and it was Chris Culliver that he scrapped with, he's gone too, Dolphins. We'll see him in December.

Yeah it was the guy who did the tackle I had issue with.  He did several cheap shots and ugly tackles that night, but the one posted was the worst.  I am glad we don't have to deal with the likes of that.  At least not yet.

On October 11, 2015 the Ravens lost to Cleveland in front of a home crowd.  That single game defined the Ravens' 2015 season.  This week's game October 9 against Washington is again a season defining game.  This thread is not about any one player or coach; it is about the soul of the Ravens' organization being on the line in 2016.

I think this 3 game stretch will set the tone for the rest of our schedule - if we can get a solid win, not a one score - fg at the death win against Washington. then go into ny playing good football and get a couple wins or at least split and were sitting at 5 - 2, 6 - 1 - I like our chances for the tougher part of our schedule.

if we scrape by or lose a couple games here - id like to see a shake up, roll the dice for the rest of this season, with a view to next year

coordinators included - I'm looking at you trestman

Even if we go 0-3 for these next three games (no way that happens, but just for argument's sake) there's no reason to hit the panic button. We'd be 3-4 heading into the bye with more or less a 50% chance at beating the Steelers no matter what state both sides are in injury-wise. A record like that would mean we'd have stuff to rectify for sure, but there's still lots of season to play and a 3-4 record means you're still in the playoff hunt at worst.

If we have 4 loses in a row - somethings gotta change and I would be hitting panic buttons

Ravens offense will be hitting its stride over second half of the season. No reason to not think playoffs. Wallace and the rookies will have rapport with Joe. Lewis and Stanley will have experience and chemistry. Dixon should be a weapon. Trestman will be more familiar with his players. And yes I believe Trestman will find his groove. And do not discount Oz pulling off one of his trades for a G/C or  defensive help.

If we lose 4 games in a row we're not making the playoffs. Good thing that's not gonna happen.

Calendar aside, this is the perfect game to spring the offense, find a groove to keep for the whole season. There was a spark against OAK, this is the perfect team to capitalise on it and let the offense gel.
