Just got this from Reddit, "The Ravens have not won a game by more than one score in 638 days".

That should be an indicator that there is something up with both the team and yes, coaching staff. You cannot continue to be in these close games because eventually you will drop one. Three straight 1 score games and we drop one to Oakland, not a surprise because it's going to hit you.

Unbelievable...

Well, I'm calling it now.  We will win by double digits this Sunday against the Redskins.  Lets keep it loud and if you are a season ticket holder and can't make the game, please do not sell it to any skins fans.

Go Ravens!

Heading into the bye at 4-1 would be huge. Let everyone get healthy and get ready to face a tough Giants team.

Week 8 is the bye week.  I hope that we're 5-2 heading into the bye week.

Limit the turnovers and the Ravens have a solid chance, however if the trend of 2 turnovers per game continues, then the game goes similar to the Raiders game...Ravens have all the talent in the world, but they need to hone that talent and do something with it...if Ravens cannot run though, it will be another long afternoon.

The team in Washington have a lot of weapons on offense. Reed is going to be trouble. The pass rush going to have to be on. The offense can't have a 3 and out-fest or it could get ugly.

I don't know if anyone brought it up, but there's a good chance we get to see SSS vs. Norman. Oh that's gonna be a dandy.

Agreed. They are close to the Raiders production wise. Good on O, Bad on D.

This is a game where we could really get the offense going. I think West gets another 100 yard game.

The Raiders have the worst run defence in the league, giving up 5.1ypa. Washington are second worst with 4.9ypa, so if we keep drinking whatever we drank at half-time this week I think we can have similar success.

After yesterday's game, we'd have to give a pick to a team to take Aiken

Aiken is normally dependable out there as a receiver, but yesterday, all he had to do was catch that last thrown ball and catch it with both hands, bring the ball in, secure it, and we got a first down around the 35 yard line. An easy kick for Justin----- and we win our 4th game, Flacco;s pass was dead on. Instead, Aiken tried to catch it in his chest and the ball bounced off his chest, Secure the ball man. Your bad.

yep...its just baffling to me. Its almost like they do it on purpose just to put on a show. Were either playing from behind or right on the fringe of putting a team away and always screw up and let them hang around until the 4th quarter where we either lose the lead and  have to rely on a 2 minute drive and tuckers leg or rely on our defense to make one stop and not give up a feild goal or TD. Its gotten to the point where I literally almost can't even watch and would rather just catch the replay on gamepass after I already know the result.

Combination of both. We start slow and we finish sloppy. Start slow in the Bills game, and finished sloppy when we couldn't put up any points. Same with the Cleveland game, and with the Jacksonville game. It's so annoying and well, we haven't won a double digit regular season game since 2014. That's awful. You're a good team? Then you're able to win games big. If you continue to find yourself in situations where you need a FG to win or up by 4 again and again and again, then you're going to drop one or two, or a couple. And if you can't find a way to win big even against some of the weakest teams in the league then maybe you aren't a good team.

Right now I don't believe we are that good of a team.   However,  finding ways to win,  even sloppy shows this team has some grit.   But I don't believe we will be able to hang with NE,  steelers,  maybe the Bengals..

Better ST play is needed. Against the skins we must dominate the trenches. They are bad in run defense but OK against the pass so we HAVE to get West going. On the other side, if we don't pressure Kirk, all those weapons will be too much.

Those are the Keys imo.

I think we're actually a pretty darn good team. If our offense can find a run game - which it looks like we have with West and now Dixon is coming back - then our passing offense will be better. We just have to cross our fingers that Stanley stays healthy. Our defense is pretty great, run D is lights out but we need to get more pressure on opposing QBs which should improve the more time Doom has to shake off the rust and Jernigan's injury that he was dealing with all week clearly slowed him down on Sunday, so hopefully he's back in form this week. All things considered we only lost to a good Raiders team by 1 point even though we were missing half of our oline and had no offense in the first half - I'll take that as a good thing overall. Also, I don't think we'll have too much trouble hanging with the Steelers and Bengals, divisional games are different, we swept a clearly superior Steelers team last year and we are much improved, I don't see how we don't have a chance there, AFCN divisional games are usually close regardless of the caliber of the teams. As far as NE goes, we'll see but they're another team that we play a close game with 9 times out of 10.

Our biggest problem is offense, If Trestman had been doing what he did in the second half on Sunday for the first half then we would have won that game. Maybe he's finally going to start being the offensive wizard that he used to be known for. If we continue with that plan moving forward then I'm very hopeful about the direction our offense is headed. And if our offense can give our defense some rest then we will be a really good team. That Raiders offense had been prolific so far this season and our defense played great, if Pees made better redzone decisions then maybe we wouldn't have surrendered those TDs to Crabtree - I mean there is 0 reason that Wright should be one on one with big physical receivers in the redzone, happened against Crabtree and Robinson, Jimmy should be on those guys in the redzone every time - and get rid of that 4th quarter prevent D that we've been complaining about from the beginning then I think our defense can easily be top 10 in the league, maybe even top 5.

Looked to me that Aiken saw the hit coming (maybe wrong) but I just can't get that special teams flag out my head

I Agree about the division games,  it could go either way normally but I don't see that with the steelers,  good thing is we still have time to fix some things before we play them.

Most people on here though Jimmy should Be on Crabtree,  me included,  the fact that we keep having Wright line up with guys that are clearly more physical worries me.  I don't know if that's just the coverage and how the players line up,  but at some point you need to notice that he can't hang with him and make an adjustment.

I was one of the people saying give Trestman more time,  but the more I watch I get frustrated watching these two yard passes, I don't think he is drawing up plays that take advantage of our offensive players skills.  In no way am I blaming trestman,  guys need to catch the ball and Joe needs to throw some better passes,  get the run game going,  etc.  The slow starts is something I just don't understand and that's coaching.

Agree on the ST part. For a team that focuses so much and prides itself so much on being good at ST, we've been outplayed on ST for two straight weeks now.

ST was the main difference in why we beat Buffalo, but we've regressed since then.

Big fan of Waller on ST. Could see him taking over the duties that Aiken's been having on ST.

I agree.  I think it's time to move on from Aiken.  He's just not cutting it right now on offense or special teams, plus there is almost zero chance he is with the team next year.  I could see Aiken being a weekly inactive (hold on to him in case of injury to another WR), unless of course some other team was desperate enough for a WR to give us a draft pick for him

I'm right there with ya. How about the OPI (just target the defender and run him over) That was smart! Or the missed tackle that sprung the punt return to the 6 (flying down the field to lay a crushing hit only to miss cause you can't adjust to the returner).

Yeah he definitely showed his worth as a seasoned vet this game.

I think the team will try to retain Aiken because Steve Smith is out the door. I'm happy Wallace is being sort of consistent for our offense, but we need more of that. Steve Smith and Wallace won't be here forever. The other players we have seem to have a good game then have 3 terrible games. Consistency is what had us win the 2013 super bowl. Boldin and Torrey Smith weren't the most athletic or great but you knew what you were getting out of them. Jacoby Jones' play was a god send and that was just a cherry on top. I still think the team is struggling because of the lack of deep throws. I don't care if they are playing base cover 3 all game and giving us everything underneath, this team has the speed to outrun the defenders and it has shown late in games after we are down two scores. Once we start taking shots our running game started opening up a little more and it gave the offense momentum. We need more deep shots.

By the way I know everybody was high on Chris Moore but he is looking terrible. He has dropped crucial passes in the last three games it feels like now... With Hester also struggling to secure the ball, and Aiken dropping them as well the wide receivers coach needs them to work on that. I swear every year this team is in the top 5 of the NFL in dropped passes and it has been that way for awhile now. Joe puts it in the bucket a lot to watch the ball bounce off the receiver's hands.

Mr. Perriman has also been pretty awful and he is one guy that we really could do without adding to the ravens WR draft bust collection (probably the most impressive in NFL history).

Smh.....

Four games into his career where he had little time to practice and what not. You can't really judge him... At all.

But sure. Preach your usual stuff. In every damn thread.
