So far.

You can say that, but if Hester were on the chopping block ... who's replacing him? Dixon?

Yes, Hester had a muff ... yes, there is no guarantee that he won't have another - but who do you trust more? A guy who has been doing that particular job half his life or one who is totally new to the job (never even returned kicks or punts in college let along the NFL). The only way Hester is getting replaced is with a different kick/punt return specialist. Since the question is about whose spot will be taken by Waller and Dixon ... Hester is not the answer.

The Hester Play was not a Muff... It was a veteran mistake where he should have cleared everyone out of the way because the gunner and his blocker were very close to the area where the ball was landing. Instead he went in for the fair catch and the gunner drove our blocker right into Hester as the ball was landing.

Please football injury gods, allow Stanley to heal miraculously between now and Sunday. No one in Baltimore wants to see Hurst protect Joe's blindside again...

You know who we aren't going to cut when he gets back? Nick Boyle because he's an absolute beast. We're going to milk his rookie contract for all it's worth, and then see how he does on the open market which will probably be 'not that great' since he already has two strikes with the league office. The next failed test is a season/career ender.

It sounds like A.Lewis will go Sunday Harbs said he cleared Protocal. And Stanley is a game time Decision it sounds like. Hes not in a walking boot, though he didnt practice. We need him to battle through his foot w/ Mack coming into town. Hurst cant handle Mack alone, and require TE Gillmore full time pass pro helping him.
So Stanley would be nice

Waller would never clear waivers.....He had a beast of a training camp...

I think we heard this about literally every single one of the players we cut in the preseason.

I believe all of them cleared waivers...

Remember, not only does a team have to claim him, but they have to claim him to their 53 man roster. Far, far, far from guaranteed that would happen.

Eagles picked up Brooks, but I agree with your thought process about Waller...

Dixon is already on the roster.

Yes, but who get's deactivated for game day is the question...do we go with three active RB's, then who sits that has been playing? Of course, injuries (thankfully none major) are starting to show up, so could be a moot question. The Waller decision is more problematic, unless there is a serious injury, or the team is just flat out done with Buck Allen (doubtful), I see Waller being put on waivers, then resigned to our PS.

Not seeing anybody I would cut to keep Waller right now. Will probably cut Buck to keep Dixon.

You might have just answered your own question, you cut Buck to make room for Waller, Dixon is already part of the 53 man roster, he just hasn't been part of the 45 man squad on game day.

6-1 record is incorrect. Besides last year we lost to Oakland in 2003, 20-12 when Rod Woodsen was on their team.

I believe they are talking about the home record against Oakland.

Actually they are 5 and 0 at Home, 1 and 2 in Oakland .

He was statistically the best back last year and it's 46 men

Please do not waste time on 1st down trying to run! The Ravens need to play Oakland like they did the 49ers in the 1st half of the Super Bowl and that was slinging that Rock to our TEs! Or is that too much like rite?! Joe hit them up so bad they shut off the power! Or was that a bad thing?! WE THE BEST!

I agree play action on 1st down. If it's short for the 1st down run on 2nd down.

I'm sorry but I want to see them throw on all three downs on their opening drive! As soon as the Ravens run the Rock and the RB gets hit here comes the whining when they should hit them up like Carr will do our secondary! Defensive linemen are fresh and teeing off on Offensive linemen and the run should be used more in the 2nd half like the bungles last night! I counted how many times they ran on their opening drive and A J Green had more yards than the Dolphins as a whole with maybe two or three run plays! Throwing on 1st down makes the Ravens less predictable and throwing on all three downs will open things up all around and thinking the raiders will have jet lag is not a way to look at the game PUT THEM AWAY or they will hit the Ravens in the mouth and then more finger pointing on the O line and Trestman when all you gotta do is open it up Joe is hot and he showed that last Sunday and he is gonna break that record this season and more! Joe can get player of the week but he gotta keep slinging that Rock because WE THE BEST!

I realize that, but my post was poorly stated. You we're talking about Hester on the chopping block to make room for Waller. I was questioning who replaces Hester's role? We don't want Webb or SSS returning punts. I'm seeing Moore listed as a possibility (given Hester is questionable for this Sunday), but I'm not sure we're ready to run with that as our primary option. The point was, I don't see us dumping Hester now because of the muff in JAX.

If anyone can be cut/released to make room for Waller, I think it will be Kendrick Lewis. Levine can take up whatever slack we would miss from 86'ing Lewis at safety or hybrid LB'er, and Waller can handle the special teams play. If Joe can hit Waller in stride as opposed to throwing at his feet all the time, he can be lights out. Come on Trestman, let's light these west coast boys up. Sorry K.O.

The one thing we CAN count on this week is "Cool" Joe Flacco. He has remained steady and lead the team to 3 consecutive victories. If the receivers can hold on to the ball he will have a chance for his biggest game yet.

Not really. YPC, which is largely the most important metric for RBs, favored Forsett.

" The Ravens are looking for their second 4-0 start in franchise history (started 4-0 in 2006)." Would be nice to break this record.

Couldn't ask for a better shot at it with 2 home games

If Stanley doesn't play, Trestman had better wake up and have Joe rolling out of the pocket or using misdirections so that he doesn't get killed. Hurst is mediocre. The outcome of this game will depend on whether this offense finally starts to put some points on the board. One TD will not be enough.

I think people need to temper their thoughts that Dixon will be that "savior". In time, maybe. But it's not like he is in game shape yet. He will be eased in. Also, he is not as good in picking up blitzes as Forsett and even West. I do see him being the Raven's #1 back someday, just not in a few weeks....

This game could separate the folks from the people lol. Seriously, we need this win. I don't care what the margin of victory "just win baby". Go Ravens.

I am out of Rolaids. I don't know if I can take another nail biter this week. The Ravens and their fans need a comfortable win tomorrow.

Would be a great commercial:

Are you a Ravens fan? If so you get a 20℅ discount on rolaids

He's not on IR. He was just a gameday inactive.

I was referring to last year.
