16 posts in this topic

The Ravens' outside pass rush will get more bite with Pro Bowler Elvis Dumervil set to make his 2016 debut. Dumervil said how many snaps he plays will be up to the coaches, but his return should allow Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees more flexibility in his play-calling.

Glad Dum will be back, big boost to a already pretty good rush w/Sizzle,Jernigan,Judon,Z.Smith,Pierce,Williams, etc

Now gotta have Stanley&Lewis for sunday. Oakland has Mack and Hurst cant block, he got Joe hurt last year.

Like Suggs it will take a few games for him to get into game shape, Suggs looked real rusty his first game, but has gotten better each week.....But am i happy he is good to go, because once he catches up, it will be awesome, as Z, and Judon have proven to be excellent fill ins, so if they have to give either a blow, their isn't much let off, as both of them have high octane motors...

Given the fact that Z and Judon have gotten some reps, I think they'll ease Doom back in. That will help him, as he won't be asked to take too many snaps. Otherwise, I think he'd get gassed and be pretty ineffective as the game wears on. I agree it is good if we temper expectations for his first couple games back.

I'll bet that experience is now extra motivation for him if/when he gets his next opportunity.

Now we're up to all hands on deck on defense eventhough we fared pretty well without him. I don't expect him to be up to his full potential just yet being he hasn't practiced that much since the beginning of training camp. Once he get into game shape its on and poppin!

The "Dynamic Duo" is back! Cue up the Batman/Robin theme song. Hope they come out, guns firing, giving them both barrels each.

Elvis is not going to make much of a difference. He has not played in months and definitely not in game day shape.
