So once again Sami created an overreactionary thread based off of a first round rookie?

Listen, if its a truly devastating injury we would have heard about it

I wouldn't say this one was an overreaction...a starter in a walking boot. Still far from a guarantee that he plays Sunday.  Obviously this gives us hope, but there is a big difference between being healthy enough to walk without a boot and playing in an NFL game.  Practice would be a big next step (even if limited)

If the injury was major we'd hear about it is my point. Like the Perrinan thing a few weeks ago. He's walking around without the boot now. I'd say he's pretty likely to play now.

In his defense he simply said what the tweet said. Stanley was in a walking boot.

The reason I wanted links was to read if there was more details about the injury or if it was just precautionary.

One of the worst injuries a linemen can have to play through is a foot injury.  It didnt surprise me that Stanley had his worst game so far while playing with an injuried foot.

Unfortunately, his foot will probably not be 100% until the off-season. He's going to have to managae the pain from here until season's end.

We tried that last year. I would much rather have all key players till we start playing really well. We're still feeling our way on the offense. Not there yet.

Hopefully it is just a precaution.  I guess it is a good sign he finished the game Sunday.  Cannot imagine a worse scenario than Hurst "blocking" Irvin or Mack.

Hurst has gotten a terrible rap since the Flacco fiasco. But, when you sit back and think about it, the only reason he is on the 53 man roster is because he deserves to be. He isn't as bad as he's made out to be I feel. If he's thrust into the game as a LT he'll hold up imo.

Hurst is only on the roster because he was the only T option.  He is as bad as he's made out to be.  He's graded out as one of the worst LT in the league the past 2 years (6th worst in 2014, 2nd worst in 2015).  Why we haven't made a serious attempt to upgrade from him is beyond me.

I've been waiting a few days now for that troll to post something funny in this thread... But since it hasn't happened yet I will....

YEP we should've taken Tunsil the front office should've known Stanley is human and vulnerable to injuries.

Is it possible that he's improved this year? Can you give him the benefit of the doubt till we actually see him perform?

It's always possible, but highly doubtful.  James Hurst just isn't good.  There's not much more that can be said than that.

I was really hoping for Jake Long to finally rectify the backup issue. I guess it was foolish for him to not sign the injury waiver, considering he's still not under contract anywhere. I still hope Ozzie would recontact him, he may change his mind on the waiver now.

You could argue adding Lewis was an attempt to upgrade, but unfortunately he is hurt as well.  If he was healthy, it would be interesting to see if it was Lewis or Hurst as the backup LT.

Lewis started the first preseason game at LT with Stanley out if i remember correctly. Hurst got time at guard during the preseason.

To an extent.  I'd rather have Lewis there, but it's still interesting that he got the 1st preseason game at LT and didn't play there in any other games, despite opportunities to do so.

If Stanley needs to sit for his foot, we should sit him cuz we need him later in the season. I hope James Hurst will play the game of his life.....

Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (foot) has not been ruled out for Sunday's game despite not practicing this week. "There's still a chance he could play," coach John Harbaugh said.

Still a very long shot that Stanley plays, but Harbaugh hasn't ruled it out yet.

Looks like he's out for Sunday. Hope Jensen and Lewis are ready for position changes. I can see Lewis at LT and Jensen back at LG.

I don't like Hurst at LT. I don't know why on Earth we did not make an upgrade at LT to begin with, makes no sense what so ever. I don't want to move too many people on the OL, it can disrupt chemistry severely and can be an awful experiment.

I think there's two possibility's and that's if Alex Lewis is good to go.

If Lewis can indeed play, then I think  you kick Lewis out to LT and plug in Jensen at LG

If Lewis can't go then I guess you go with Hurst at LT and pray to god he doesn't get ripped to shreds.

No matter how you shift things around, our most shaky unit has now just become even shakier. We couldn't run the ball in the first 3 games and struggled to protect Flacco already. Some guys are going to have to step in and be solid and Zuttah is going to have to get it together.

This is really scary.
