[News] Ravens Defense Capitalizing With Turnovers After Last Year's Drought

12 posts in this topic

The Ravens interior defensive line is pretty impressive this year. When Doom gets back they are going to wreak havoc on opposing quarter backs. Little worried about Shareece Wright. Also worried about Williams, Correa and Gilmore. What happened to these guys.

Do you not see the back of Jimmy Smith's jersey every sunday? The guy is too slow to cover most wideouts  and Shareece is also too slow. Tavon Young will take one of those positions before the season is over.

We are better in 2 of 3 phases compared to last year. That has resulted in 3 wins. Now we don't know if the offense will ever live up to its paper billing. Going by what we saw the first 3 games don't be too sure. We have a tepid and unimaginative offense and this may be it. But, as long as the defense contiues to stifle offenses and gets us turnovers, we'll keep winning on the leg of Tucker and defensive TDs. Nothing wrong with that either because none of us have forgotten 2000.

Average Joe is the 30th ranked starting QB in the league. Nothing's changed in nine years. The Ravens have won, despite Below Average Joe's attempts to throw away every game he can. Kudos to the D and STs.

The reason I feel the Ravens don't have to blitz because of the personnel on this Defense reading and reacting and this is only the beginning! LBers are getting INTs down field because of the Swarm not blitzes and with D Line playing like it is a good rotation will wreak havoc as the season goes on! Brady knows how to short pass them to death and then try some junk like last time to catch them off guard so that will be the challenge later on so keep spreading them out and my mane man big Brent Urban is getting tremendous pressure blocking FGs so get him in there also to get to that QB and RB! Count his blocks they are not a myth! WE THE BEST!

This weeks test against the Raiders will be a good test of the secondary play on defense. Amari Cooper is a handful but I think the Ravens have the personnel to limit the big play. Secondary has played well so far, but I think this week that challenge is increased.

Run game needs something to start a spark. Almost would rather see Buck Allen active instead of Justin Forsett if Kenneth Dixon is not ready yet. West has been slightly better running the ball and Allen can catch and make defenders miss in space which might be a necessity in case the run game remains the same.

ST has been outstanding so far. I'd use the word perfect, except for the big return given up on the put last game. 2 blocked field goals in 3 games so far is unreal though and wolf pack is back in full swing.

Don't blame joe, it's that OC we have, nothing more than high school football play calling. We have more than enough talent to win.
