[News] Joe Flacco: A Win's A Win, But No Need For So Many Heart Attacks

28 posts in this topic

it was another ugly, nail-biting win, but I'll take it. Our offense still is not clicking consistently. And Shareece Wright needs to get back to playing like he did that first game against the Bills. Right now, he's missing tackles, letting receivers get behind him, and sometimes over-running the play or being caught out of position. I think he'll get better but we need to be patient with him as he developes from week to week.

3-0 No sniveling over here Devin made a boo boo and so did Joe but my Defense made up for it all because that's what they do and my mane man Justin "Just Ice" Tucker sealed the game! Next!

a win is a win but the Ravens have to find a way to run the ball. The Raiders are tough team and we have to run some time consuming plays.

Trestman is going to be on the hot seat unless the offense starts cutting down on mistakes and begins using all the assembled weapons effectively.

Yeah blame Trestman for Devin fumble and Joe throwing that pick smh good game! 3-0 1st in the division not 0-3 or 1-2 but 3-0 but it seems some people are just waiting for us to loose just to single someone out! Smh! I'm happy over here and that was a very good game minus the mistakes by Devin and Joe! 3-0 baby 3-0 I'll take it any day! Next!

If they had made these mistakes playing the Steelers, Bengals, and Eagles, we would be 0-3. A win is a win but right now we are not a playoff caliber team. If the offense doesn't start doing its job instead of relying on Tucker to kick 50+ yard field goals, we will not beat the big boys. The competition just gets tougher from here. They have the Raiders and the Redskins, but after that, look out.

Joe made some indefensible throws early but I'll pretend I didn't see his mistakes like analysts do when they critique their favorite QBs. Weak competition is how you get to the playoffs. Broncos, Pats and Colts did this for years and virtually no one batted an eye. Why is it a problem when we do it? If it's that much of a bother, there are teams with prettier offenses and worse records to be fans of.

I'm gonna give him one more week because I promised I woudnt go bazerk until a quarter of the season is gone.

The Raiders D is pathetic and we are close to 100 percent healthy on O so anything less than. 4 yards a carry, 2/1 TD to INT ratio, 50% 3rd down conversion, and 28 points and I will go bazurk!! Feel free to join lol

It's not a problem at all. Weak competition is when you can afford to make mistakes and learn from them. The key here is to learn from your mistakes. Not turn a blind eye. I'm sure Flacco knows this and hope that they show up to work on Tuesday ready to eliminate mistakes because that really wasn't a good showing out there. That's 2 out of 3 wins won purely by our D and our ofense almost threw the games away.

Time to get better! In harbs I trust!

Average Joe tossing it around to the tune of a 77.2 % rating. Close to his lifetime average. Why would anything change after nine years. The Ravens are winning DESPITE Below Average Joe.

Lets face it.  The DNA of the team is win ugly.  For years its always within 7 and the 4th Q is a torture bell for all Ravens fans.  We just do not blow out teams such as NE does on a common basis. Is it Trestman's calls?.  It seemed Kubiak had better fluidity and all of our blood pressure was lower except for the two TD twice lead against those same NE Patriots in the 014 playoffs. Either we calm ourselves or seek therapy. I see more of these games and I hope one day to witness an authentic blowout on a good team. Well there is Oakland............:sofa:

Its a home game and this time the same effect will occur in the 4th Q.  The Raiders were our last blowout 55-20( 2011) I presume.

For the big picture,if we win all home games we are in the playoffs.

I think our last blowout victory was against the Bucs in 2014 when Joe threw for 5 tds. ?

He is NOT below average imo. Stats are for losers and proven time and time again. You can not in all honesty say he doesn't get the job done.ill take all the ugly wins we can get. See the Steelers stats and they lost! 21 straight completions is nothing to sneeze at if you want stats. Go Ravens.

The play-calling at times was damn right pathetic. It's nothing to do with Devin or Joe. I think I can count on one hand the amount of times we went for a deep pass. So many dink and dunk passes that got us absolutely nowhere. We need to stop passing it behind the line of scrimmage when we have something like 3rd & 5.

Tucker showing that he deserved to get PAID!

We're winning when we should win so there's that however, The O line needs lots of work on opening holes for our RB. Very little, if any blocking down field. Joe is Joe. He does well enough to win more games than we should lose and I'm glad he's our QB (Most times). Yanda is getting old and he's feeling it. The defense may be better this year but not our corners and that's a BIG problem. Wright and Smith are not very good and you just don't see Webby any more. There's enough game film on us now that if our pass rush slows any at all, QB's are going to pick us apart. I'm hoping Doom makes a difference and also hoping that Dixon can make holes where none exist, once he gets back. I fear the second half of the season when we start playing teams that won't give us as many opportunities but for now, it's one game at a time and next up are the Raiders at M&T. I'm sure we'll let them stay in the game for 58 minutes. Let's hope the Raiders mess up enough for us to get us to 4-0.

Would I rather be the Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers right now? One has 3 of the ugliest wins imaginable inspiring no confidence that they can win against good teams moving forward. The other blew out one team, slugged it out against a division opponent and came out on top and got blown out of the water by a rookie QB and lost in humiliating fashion.

Give me Baltimore's situation every day of the week! The reason being our ceiling is high and we are skimming the floor in 3 consecutive games on offense. The defense still has room to improve and hovering mid-height as is the special team unit. But, 3 games is a good sample size to know if they're ascending as an offense. They haven't shown us any signs that they're really capable of that quite yet, but just going by the talent on this roster I would think it is a possibility. So with that hope we trudge along for more convincing wins.

If we continue to play the way we are, lady luck will surely abandon us like it did most of last year. Luck not only favors the brave, it also favors the good.

3-0 is 3-0 no matter how you slice it but like Joe said we can't win this way when we play the better teams. The running game and O-line as a whole has to improve and stop shooting ourselves in the foot with the penalties. The D is much improved from last year although I'm still not sold on both Wright and Smith. Its like they play too tentative instead of trusting their technique or something I don't know. Before the year is out they won't have no more than 6 interceptions combined between the two of them...thank God for Eric Weddle. We got our payback from Jacksonville now lets get our payback from the Raiders to become 4-0.

I just want to mention there is another side to "the teams we played are 1-8". Perhaps they are 1-8 because we played them and that counts for 3 losses and they played other good teams. In every game there is a winner and a loser. Not every win is because we played a bad team yet the assumption is they are bad because they lost. The Bengals are 1-2 are they a bad team also???

The big thing to celebrate is the fact that last year, we would have lost all three of these games, but this year -- we didn't! Last year we just didn't have that little extra something to get us over the hurdles, and we lost so many games by one score on a late penalty or stupid mistake.

But this year, we are finishing. We are not letting a late-game deficit immobilize us.

Next week we'll face the 2-1 Raiders. Maybe a win there will pull us up in the power rankings.

REF: OFFENCE
ITEM: LACK THERE OF

Please someone take Tressemans High School Play Book away from him. There is NO creative plays, No miss-direction, No Surprise, and No receiver separation. Short passes (2 to 5 yrd) passes to Pitta and NO deep ball threat. If I see one more under thrown deep ball I will scream! Please, please review the play book that the other successful teams have in there playbook. And steel a few!! It looks like a typical Ted Marchibroda Play book. Run up the middle twice and throw a 7 yard pass for a 4th and 3. STOP IT!!

Regards
