I have this as a trap game but could very well see us winning it

I think trap games are impossible for this team. If we were gonna have one the Browns or Jags game would've been it. The Raiders are probably the best team we've faced so far.

I don't think there are any "trap" games... we lost to them last year. We won't forget that. We're at Home. I think the offense finally gets on track and we win 24-13.

To tell you the truth, it depends on how we match up with the Raiders. They have just shown they can travel to the East Coast and win. They're traveling to the East Coast next week as well. Last year we couldn't travel to the West Coast and win any game. So, we need to be wary of the Raiders. They're a talented team and we are just squeaking by really bad teams.

Silly question, doesn't Mack rush typically from the defenses left side?

I actually thought the same thing.  Shouldn't it be Wagner vs Mack and not Stanley vs Mack?

It wouldn't be 100% of the time. Probably like 60%-65% of the time.

However, Bruce Irvin is pretty talented as well. I wouldn't take him lightly.

I agree with your point that the Ravens need to be wary about the Raiders and ready for a tough game; however, I would like to point out that New Orleans and Tennessee aren't exactly "East Coast" since they are in the Central time zone, not the Eastern time zone.

I get that but hopefully you see my point.

I dont think the Ravens are sneaking a win out if they play like they have the past 3 weeks. There's too many weapons on that offense and the Raiders OL is too good for the pass rush to help the secondary very much. Ravens will be helped by the fact that Oakland is coming to the east coast, but that might not help too much. I'm thinking Raiders 38, Ravens 20.

The Raiders lost a week ago to the Falcons and they barely beat the Titans yesterday. They will be coming from the West Coast a second time this Sunday to play us at home at 1pm. The weather should be nice, so we won't have to deal with the heat. I think if Doom is feeling better and plays, we may be able to turn up the pass rush and that will help the secondary. The crowd at the Bank should be loud. If the offense can get clicking, I can certainly see us at 4-0.

Yeah this definitely isn't a trap game. Raiders are a scary team with the #2 offense and a strong up and coming defense. It's going to be a real test to see if we are actually as good as our record says

Raiders dont travel well to the East Coast. I think we win a somewhat close one (more close than it actually seems) where we end up winning by only 7 or so, but we hold a comfortable lead most of the game and they get a garbage time TD to make it only 7.

Our D can slow them down, methinks. And our offense has its break out performance.

Pumped for this one.

The game won't be on in Washington, DC due the Browns taking on the Redskins on the same (CBS) network.   Usually DC is the secondary market for the Ravens but not this upcoming Sunday.

Revenge game, and the offense should be looking to prove themselves, can this be the week where they play well for 4 quarters?

I do not see the Raiders scoring 38 points against the Ravens in Baltimore. I do believe the Ravens will win this game and win by 10 points and go 4-0. Raiders 14, Ravens 24

You know the only problem with us going 4-0, right? Right??? Do you know the pressure that will be on this team against the Redskins???

Good to hear. I saw the Jackson whiff. It was terrible and I honestly got so upset there. I was ready for Zuttah to be benched then and I don't like making emotional decisions but this is getting ridiculous now. Zuttah is a really big problem. We need a legit center and we need one bad. The poor play from the position has haunted us since losing Birk. I can't believe some people here wanted him gone. Maybe having a mauler run blocker like Jensen next to him will help Zuttah. Shoot, I wouldn't even mind putting Jensen at center and Zuttah at LG. Zuttah has played there before. We need a change on this OL, though, and at least if Zuttah is at LG you'd have Zuttah and Yanda book-ending Jensen and they can both make the calls there, so maybe that helps ease the transition.

Our record should be giving us confidence.

I think this will be a tough game.  Carr is better than Bortles imo and I think Cooper and Crabtree will give us some fits.  I see us getting some sacks, hopefully Doom will be back, doubt it though.

Why would we would have pressure against the Skins?

Here we go as the tumble begins. I usually wait to see the final injury report to make my game predictions but this one is easy.

We don't match up well with the Oakland Raiders and even if we had doom ( who is at the end of his career ) it wouldn't matter. Derek Carr and his entourage of weapons are the #2 offense in the NFL and are way to much for us to handle and with us having the 25th rated running game in the NFL it will be easy for them to T-off on Flacco.

Tho the game will be slightly close in the first half  but the Raiders win this game handily 31-17 .

so if we win what will you say? I for one had this one down as a loss..however after watching all of the raiders games today on league pass their D is beyond pittiful and a shootout away from home? sorry..also i like tavon young on amari cooper. Crabtree is whatever..faced better receivers.walfrod at TE is whatever..their O line is great..thats the only thing. Mack hasnt been himself this year.I respect carr though..hes a very good QB. They have 2 good pressing corners but down the middle they are one of the worst Ds i've ever seen.

I was under the impression that Mack moved to the weak side with the suspension of aldon Smith. I could be wrong though.

We NEED to open up the offense for this one. We won't win off of just one touchdown and some FG's again.

Maybe this will be BPs coming out party

What's the big difference between last year and this year's Ravens? Still close games, but this year, we are winning them. We have come a long way since then.

The Raiders havent been that impressive. Their D has been by far the worst in the league - historically bad.

Mack hasnt done anything. The key is bring over TE help, or chipping with a FB. He wins with power moves, and doesnt have the finesse/speed moves to effectively beat double teams on any consistent basis. I think Gillmore could have a big role chipping in on containing him. And I like Stanley against Irvin in pass protection. Should be a good matchup there. They havent gotten much if any interior pressure so Yanda may even be able to help out on Mack a bit which is a big positive.

Amerson had a great game this weekend but otherwise their secondary has been atrocious.

Carr is good. But without a run game theyll become too one dimensional. Jimmy can take Crabtree out of the game completely... and i actually think Wright matches up much better against someone like Cooper than he did against Robinson or Coleman. Coopers game is much more about technical precision and route running than pure athleticism and physicality - that bodes better for Wright.... While Jimmy can match whatever Crabtree brings. Add some safety help on Cooper, and our LBs have looked really good so not too worried about Walford.

Doom would be a big help against the OL. We're going to need to get home, and it may need to come from the edge bc their interior OL is one of the best in the league. Jernigan may not be quite as effective as hes been so itll be on Suggs, Judon, Z and hopefully Doom to get after Carr.

This game is coming at the perfect time for the offense - we get in stride and put up 30 points.

Defense isnt quite as dominant but we still hold them to 23 with a garbage time TD making it look closer than it really is.

Ravens 30-23.

If the Oline and run game can't get going this game at home vs this defense, then it's officially time to get scared.Hopefully Dixon is prepared to go for this game because as much as it pains me to say it,the time has come to bench Forsett.I want to see what West can do as a lead back with either Allen or Dixon as a back up now.Forsett just doesn't have a burst anymore and he's not doing well in this scheme behind this line.I believe the two back rotation is hurting us.Give the ball to West 20 or so times and see what he can do.Maybe with enough carries he can break some more long runs like he did at the end of the first two games and at the start of the third quarter yesterday.

Replace Carr with Bortles and Oakland with Jax and this would look like a post straight out of last weeks next up thread.Every team has more weapons than we can handle,a defense filled with too much talent and a QB who should be able to light us up according alot of people on this forum lol.Not trying to be a smart a**,but be ready to rinse and repeat this post again when Cousins and his weapons come to town and the week after when we play Eli and his weapons and the week after when we go play the Jets.
