I don't want the burden of a perfect season tbh. I'd rather we get that one painful loss out of the way. But not at home. If Oakland's defense is bad, and our offense gets into a pattern like we did in the first half vs. the Jags, I say we win and control the game.

Pretty safe to say you won't have to worry about that.

This season is CRAZY so far. There's no way to gauge how good any teams are. I still can't tell if we're a good team or a bad one. A win against the Raiders should help. Let's get this W!

Agreed. These Raiders DBs (similar to last year's but a little more talented) seem to want to play 'big' play defense in a high scoring shootout. That said, a well laid-out 'dink-and-dunk' aggressive pass 1st scheme should suffice. A 2.5 to 3.0 short to mid-range passing game should get them overly anxious and prone to mistakes. By not calling for deep throws from Joe early, you not only save him from unnecessary punishment from their bash-squad (They can bring pain), but it may be able to free-up easier rushing yards as the game progresses.

Quick Pass 1st - Run 2nd - (disguise formations) Big Hitter Long Passes 3rd once they commit.

I'm just stoked about the pass rush. Suggs looks like he has picked it up and Dumervil is coming back.

I'm not sure this is the game to be stoked. Oakland has a serious OL and I'm concerned about Suggs. He didn't play well until the 4th. I saw glimpses of the old Suggs but today it wasn't much. He is still a stud against the run but in the pass rush department he was too slow to get to the QB, didn't have the same explosiveness, and didn't finish his pass rush as well. I feel like he still has the ability to push back LTs and peel, but for the most part I think he still has a way to go. I can imagine that the same will apply to Doom. I think its the secondary that's holding the team up.

This'll be a rough one, the Raiders got a STUDDED O-line a good WR core and a good QB. If the pass rusher isn't REALLY GOOD we're gonna be forced into a shootout, which I'm not sure we can win.

My fear is that Wright continues to get dominated by everyone and they run the score up on us.

Looks like the Raiders defense isn't that solid though, Mack is gonna be a big issue though.

THIS IS THE FIRST TEST FOR THIS TEAM.

At home against the Raiders is nice but the Ravens need to be ready for a fight. 3-0 leading the AFC North I hope they keep it rolling lets just see.....

Really hope they put Jimmy on Crab. I'm not saying this because Jimmy is bad, but Cooper burned Smith pretty badly last year. Meanwhile, Smith has historically done well on Crab. Really want to see Young more often, and hopefully Powers gets a chance to finally play

Jimmy's foot is in significantly better shape than it was for the Raiders game last year, I don't think Cooper will put up the same numbers.

This is a big test for the Ravens.. hopefully doom is 100%. Will be exciting to see the defense at full force

offense needs an identity and needs to find consistency on the interior oline. It's killing our running game and deep passing attack.

Quite possible we see a change at center since it's a home game but I'd be a little surprised if harbaugh decided to go away from the vet

Agreed but, I think Crabtree offers the biggest threat as far as offensive scheme this season and Jimmy has historically been able to neutralize him. I see that as a more likely match-up with another DB and 1 over the top with Cooper. Wright could have landmark comeback game (4 games in) with help this game.

Crabtree needs to be neutralized 1st and an aggressive blitz package from Pees could pay heavy dividends towards our pass rush: and alternatively, the success of our defensive backfield play. Team and Scheme - makes dreams.

For those going to the game..Just do your job ..Get Loud,,Get Crazy.. Stomp ur feet and you could help Ravens defense so Raiders would get false starts or even illegal motion because the players cant hear QB signals or didn't hear it right.

Did watch the game today was on the road coming back to town from NY, but I did get a chance to listen to it. From what I hear, even though the numbers weren't great, T. West needs to be the guy who's given the most opportunities in the run game next week.

I think they'll be a hard fought tight game like the first 3 weeks. I really like the Raiders and even though the Ravens D is balling out right now, I think they'll be points scored on both sides. Right now the Ravens aren't taking advantage of opportunities right now and the offense seems like it just needs a tweak or 2 in order to fire on all cylinders. That moment when the Ravens put it all together offensively could come any week now, let's hope it's this week.

Defensively, I think if Davis is healthy he should be inserted into the secondary in place of Wright. He seems to be the weak link of the defense right now. I'm loving Tavon Young, that guy is a baller. Timmy is stepping up along with the rest of the Dline and LBs are playing well too. Doom could be back this week and could help the pass rush. Loving the way the defense is flying around right now, but they'll certainly be tested Sunday.

look we are 3-0 but we've played terribly the last 3 game. We don't play up to our potential with the talent we have. Too many penalties. Very sloppy. The running game is non existent. Only Terrence West can run for over 3 yards.

Our offense isn't consistent enough which keeps our D on the field longer tiring them the out. If we play up to our potential can we beat the Raiders sure, but these last 3 games don't fill me with confidence, especially if we can't run the ball. Our O-Line is not up to snuff. The Raiders are looking good. That defense is legit and they've got some playmakers on offense.

The Raiders should absolutely be the favorites in this game.

Truly hope Dumervil is ready. Glad we are at home to receive a warm 3-0 welcome from the home crowd. I'd like to see Young starting over Wright here.

I only saw half the game but what I did see I know this: we need to really evaluate who we have starting on this team. I'm sorry, but if he's injured or not it may be time to make a change at C or to scheme a way to fix the problem we have because we are getting killed due to Zuttah. He is flat-out looking terrible when I watched him. I did not see anything good. Granted, I only saw half the game so there's that disclaimer; however, I think maybe we need to give Jensen a try because it is clear to me Zuttah is simply outmatched. That said, I'd really prefer to keep Zuttah there because it's better to roll with what you have than what you don't know. Jensen could be worse and may be another Gino--who knows. All I know is I don't want to see us make a radical change and see it blow up in our face; however, I also don't want to keep seeing the middle of the OL get blown up, either.

I do like the grit this team has, though. No, I LOVE it, actually. Say what you want but we lost games like we won this year. I hope we manage to eek out another win against Oakland, but I would like us to dominate them even more. Either way, I do think this game will be better than the last one we played.

The raiders have lit up really bad defenses. They havent faced a defense like ours yet. We are coming off of 2 hard fought road wins, were 3-0 with momentum on our side and coming home after 2 weeks of being on the road. The bank will be rocking and I hope we can ride that wave to a win.

In theory we should be able to win this one. Especially being at home. The raiders still have lots of holes. If stanley is playing well and holds off Mack then we should do fine through the air, their coverage is shoddy at best. Every part of our team is superior aside from one superstar edge rusher and one superstar receiver, and their run blocking is better but our defense still gives us the edge there.

I think we really do start 4-0 with another ugly debacle of a win, but I think here is where we start to see the team gel. You can see our potential at times and then it disappears, being at home against a weak secondary may be just what we need to get a spark and keep a rhythm. 27-26 ravens. They rack up some yards but we clamp down on the red zone and force 4 field goals which proves to be too little to keep pace with us as we have 2 big pass plays leading to TDs and a long methodical TD drive with 2 field goals. We Will be 3-1 on turnover differential in this game. Both teams will have 4 sacks. Neither team passes 80 yards rushing.

Zuttah was awful in the first half but did a bit better in the 2nd half. He completely whiffed on a block on Malik Jackson that led to a sack, and trust me, this is as bad a whiff as you're going to see. Run blocking wise same old story, no push at all. Overall, it wasn't the best outing for Zuttah and his season long starting C job is questionable.

Run game got better when Jensen subbed in for Lewis. He may not be the best pass blocker but he's solid on the run. I can imagine him being the guy there honestly. Chemistry could be an issue but this run game is so bad that it may just be an emergency move.

You know the only problem with us going 4-0, right? Right??? Do you know the pressure that will be on this team against the Redskins???

Good to hear. I saw the Jackson whiff. It was terrible and I honestly got so upset there. I was ready for Zuttah to be benched then and I don't like making emotional decisions but this is getting ridiculous now. Zuttah is a really big problem. We need a legit center and we need one bad. The poor play from the position has haunted us since losing Birk. I can't believe some people here wanted him gone. Maybe having a mauler run blocker like Jensen next to him will help Zuttah. Shoot, I wouldn't even mind putting Jensen at center and Zuttah at LG. Zuttah has played there before. We need a change on this OL, though, and at least if Zuttah is at LG you'd have Zuttah and Yanda book-ending Jensen and they can both make the calls there, so maybe that helps ease the transition.

If I'm.not mistaken didn't Cooper only burn Jimmy on that first big play? Wasn't he nearly blanked after that? Not to mention it was a double move which Jimmy.clearly tripped himself up and failed to regain the speed needed to catch up, can definitely attribute that to the still fresh lisfranc injury. He's in much better shape right now.

Oddly though... I agree. I actually want to see young against Cooper. I think they match up well, young can run with those refined types and as long as he isn't suffering a 5 inch height disadvantage he should do very well playing the ball, that part comes natural for him. He's got the best closing speed on the team, that's the kinda guy you need against Cooper. I think jimmy soloed on crab with permanent safety help for Cooper and tavon young getting a lot of looks his way is a good recipe to stifle their passing attack.

Would really like to see a comfortable win if that's possible. Not even sure what that looks like anymore

Hopefully as comfortable as the last time the Raiders stopped by for a visit B)

--

Really hoping Dumervil and Dixon are healthy for next week. We'd be basically 100% healthy with those two active. Oakland was nursing some OL injuries for this week I believe. That'll be a big area of interest as we watch who's practicing/who's not this week.

Also excited to see Stanley on Mack. That'll be his biggest test yet. Oakland's defense was much-improved vs the Titans. Hopefully all that talent they bought in the off-season isn't starting to gain chemistry, though they probably are. Hopefully their defense struggles for just one more week.

I don't think it's a trap game only because I'm sure the Ravens won't be the majority pick by media pundits. Vegas might even make it a pick'em game although it's a Ravens Home game.

People are so much on the Raiders wild card wagon, all week I'm sure they will talk about raiders offense and not mention how well our defense has played.
