The Raiders special team units is no joke either.  They always had the kicking game( punter and kicker).  Where they really upgraded is there coverage teams unit.   ( Ex Raven Trawick, Daren Bates, Taiwan Jones, and rookie Wr Johnny Holton.

I thought I saw Trawick got cut?

Oh I'm not saying one bad thing about our defense. It's has played lights out and getting Eric Weddle is a huge boost for this team. I love our D so far.

then stop acting like oakland are world beaters..they arent..sure they could win..i can see an arguement both ways but this isn't NE 2007..if no one knew any better you'd probably convice a lot of people otherwise with the way you talk about them!

Exactly. They could've been 1-2.

At the end of the TEN game there were 2 BS calls in the endzone both in OAK's favor. It wasnt for the win but in all likelihood at least for the tying score.

if you want my opinon i think these are two evenly matched teams..same standard. It can go either way..we were unlucky last year not to have won at their place. both teams have improved since.

I think he got cut or release (don't know which) from the Ravens and now playing special teams for the Raiders. I wish he was cut so the Ravens can resign him. He's a good special teamer. Asa Jackson was good too at special teams and is a free agent but he gets penalized too much. He knows how to block kicks.

I think Oakland isn't that much different from Jacksonville in terms of skill sets and what they do well. Oakland has a bit better offense/offensive line, whereas Jacksonville has a better defense in my estimation.

If that's the case, you get a pretty average team in my estimation, traveling West coast to East (for the second straight week) playing in a 10am WC game.

I'd take the home team to win in this spot practically all of the time.

I know he was/is on the Raiders, but I thought he got cut from the Raiders. I guess not.

He's on their roster. Has played 67 snaps, entirely as a ST player. Has not played any defensive snaps for them yet.

Exactly. This NFL season everybody's even. There is no dominant team that it was in years past. NFL right now is not as physical as it use to be. Past NFL teams would've destroy present NFL teams.

Yep, entirely right.

Not sure where I saw he got cut/was getting cut because that's completely not true.

Let's not forget KO which is a huge part of why that offense is so good right now.

Among about a half dozen other reasons...

He is way better than what we got in Stanley. That  guy will take years to develop..

urrr no..

stanley has been great .he was injured in the last game and it showed. Stanley will ( with good health) be a pro bowl player . KO is good..but again you're overrating him.

Trophy hunting is really uncool to me, too, but I just find it really funny that the Browns said he wouldn't be a top 20 QB. Probably felt the same way about Carr.

lets wait a bit before wentz is crowned..it might be a honeymoon period

carr is the real deal though..yeah.browns..

dont they have 4000 picks next year too?

Even if he is only good this year, it beats Kessler. And he has all the tools to be very good. My major concern was the jump in talent, but he seems to be doing okay.

They should have a ton of picks.

Yeah Aiken's in a tough spot.

Through 3 weeks, he technically has the 3rd highest snap count among WRs... he's actually gotten more offensive snaps than Perriman. But he's not being targeted at all basically...4 targets in 3 games.

Hard to see him being very valuable to the offense unless a Steve Smith injury happens. Frankly, even if like Wallace were to get hurt, you would think Perriman/Moore would inherit most of those snaps instead.

Yeah and it sucks because he's been a hard worker and reliable for 2+ years. He's developed well and just when it seems he'll get his shot to show the NFL he's someone to watch for, SSS and Pitta return to the team healthy.

But with that said its the NFL and injuries happen, especially late in the season and in this division. Aiken may just get another opportunity this year and based on his track record he'll be ready.

They have played teams that are perennial defensive bottom feeders

So true. Derek Carr is going to be the best QB of the "next generation."

i'd also like to see tavon on amari cooper..

maybe im putting too much on the plate for a rookie..but i think he can stick with cooper as long as the pass rush doesnt allow cooper the time to break his routes..thats where he and carr are lethal

I think wright is better suited for Cooper.

Sidenote, this will be my last post for a minute, leaving to go to Mexico for a soccer game.

Stanley doubtful

unless hurst is penciled in by default a line of

Lewis,Jensen.Zuttah,Yanda,Wagner might be at hand..

obviously thats if lewis is given the all clear from the protocol and from what i've seen that tends to be a ''no'' for the first week.
