sorry wizard but you overrate teams and underrate your so called team. I'm a realist too and i dont see this game being beyond the ravens at all. i really am not impressed with their D .

the jags had a far better secondary and D line, talent wise..

Certainly you are not referring to that Devin Hester guy? The only part of our special teams that makes it special is Justin Tucker and Sam Koch. This is not an offense that can put up many points and I stretched it with a 20 prediction because I see the D coming up with a TD in this game. Everything in football begins with the O-line and the point of attack and that's where we fail miserably. They are 2-1 against a couple of really good teams and have put up huge numbers against all 3.

LOL really good teams?

You mean the Saints, Falcons and Titans... three teams who have very little or absolutely no shot of being a playoff team? Those really good teams?

I mean you're not even trying to sound coherent anymore are you?

Yes..they are world beaters..it would be inconceivable for us to beat them..greatest show on turf stuff..

please note im being a tad sarcastic.

I'm not a Raiders fan but you have to admit they have a formidable offense and are top 5 in almost every category. We aren't in the top 20 in anything offensively except for Joe coming in as the 18th ranked QB and actually grades out even lower than that.

Haha they have a better combined record than 1-8.

So that makes them good? A combined 3-6 record classifies as "some really good teams"?

Again, have you just quit trying all together?

The good news is... there's another side of the ball. Its called defense.

The Raiders are terrible at it. Like on pace to be historically terrible at it.

This isn't fantasy football, where the only thing that matters is offense. I like our defense a lot better than I like Tennessee's defense, and the Raiders dropped a whopping 17 on them.

If we lose this game, it won't be because the Raiders offense is some unstoppable force that posts 40 on us. They aren't anywhere near good enough for that based on what I see.

There offense is good but l just don't see them beating the Ravens at home. I like our chances. There defense has issues, our defense is good in which l could see them having a good game.

Why? I like my trolls like I like my pigs.... fat and juicy.

That way, when it inevitably comes time to slaughter them, it tastes better and there's more blood.

Its a win win for everybody (except for the troll).

I don't blame you for feeling this way. Do you think I want to be going against my beloved Ravens? But I'm still really upset about the fiasco from last year and really didn't see much in the off-season to change the way things look this year. Unless you want to include the addition of washed up over the hill players like Watson, Wallace, and Hester. We even tried to add a ridiculous Trent Richardson. Jeez Lousie. The only difference this year is that we have been the lucky ones so far. Not the team that has out-played and out-classed our opponents.

i have no issue with anyone stating the raiders could/can win..i have issue when a team thats pretty flawed suddenly turns into patriots 2007 as far as ''the wizard'' is concerned.

Exactly. They could've been 1-2.

Well we largely have outplayed and outclassed our opponents so far. Pretty much every possible metric validates this.

i dont think wallace is over the hill. i wasnt a fan of the watson or hester signing either. I'm just saying you vastly overrate every team that plays us. The raiders LOST vs the falcons who are a solid team, nothing more, nothing less and should have lost against the saints who are the worst D in the league.

Yeah right. We beat 3 teams with a combined record of 1-8 by a total of 13 points. Now that's what I call " the greatest show on turf."

also,, the titans have the WORST O in the league. They have 0 recieving weapons..0..nadda.

The browns have way more talent at the recieving core than the titans.

I can make the arguement that the 3 teams we played were better than all but 1 team the raiders played. The saints and titans are worse teams than the browns and jags talent wise.

The numbers don't lie bud. They tell you everything you need to know. They're batting 1.000 against the Wizard claims.

Time to embrace it kid before it runs you over.

Actually you should check because I predicted all 3 of these Ravens wins. However this is where we begins our slide begins.

I remember you said the Bills will beat us on our opener and said Tyrod Taylor was gonna roll on us.

Ok I have been reduced to predicting game results through the weekly game thread so here we go. This was a fairly easy game to predict since we already have injuries which will affect our overall production. However injuries have nothing to do with an opening day home loss. Buffalo comes in here with a chip on it's shoulder and something to prove and we end up have no answer for Tyrod Taylor and Rex Ryan's blitz happy linebackers. Final -- Buffalo wins 23-13.

You picked Buffalo genius.

I already laid out a lengthy post of some of your very, very, very weak predictions already. Among them was the notion of Tyrod Taylor running all over us.

Oh I'm not saying one bad thing about our defense. It's has played lights out and getting Eric Weddle is a huge boost for this team. I love our D so far.
