The Schedule Gods presented the Ravens with a real shot to a fast start. Baltimore is already one-third of the way to matching the number of interceptions from last year. Fifty percent of the starting lineup has changed since the last time the Ravens faced the Jaguars.

ill be shocked to see an easy, fluid victory (especially, on the road). As long as Flacco does not buy any time (post, or pre injury) as most of the other QB's do- we will continue to look troubled. This goes back along time- even in the Super Bowl year. We'll see. I hope I am wrong.

a bunch of meaningless stats, were not a big stats team for the fact that we are so balanced, thats a good thing because it means we don't rely on specific players that can be schemed up.at 30 you are at your prime physically and emotionally.

If Flacco can throw ONE TD pass, and NOT turn it over, the Ravens have a shot. But at Jville, that's a TALL order for Average Joe.

That is a weird statement. Joe had 2 INT last game sure but to label Joe as average is ridiculous. There are more dropped passes than INT's so far and I dont hear you making Sr., Perriman,Aikin, Gillmore or West an issue...all had drops last game. In order to have a high percentage of passes, INT's are unfortunate part of the NFL. Just ask Payton Manning who had a horrendous INT number but he also had incredible numbers in all catagories because he threw the ball to open receivers that caught it. If a Defense makes a good play then that is what happens...you go out and score to make up for it.

I believe the only stat that really matters in any game is the time of possession stat. For us to win that means two things most times. One is that we are running the ball effectively and moving the chains and two the opponent has fewer chances to score on offense. Therefore our focus should be in limiting the offensive snaps of the Jags. We will win the game if we win ToP.

He is more like Inconsistent Joe than Average Joe. At times he will throw passes that leave you in awe. Other times he will still short arm the ball, underthrow his receivers, throw passes he shouldn't to those who are covered, and throw off his back foot like he is shooting a fade away jumper. He is NOT an elite quarterback, but he is better than most. It is frustrating to watch him because from one play to the next he goes from greatness to gawd awful. He is mentally tough, but not mentally bright. For anyone to write that he is a Pro Bowl quarterback, is just nuts. We keep waiting for him to put it all together, but, alas, it looks like that will never happen.

Encouragement. I have yet to see a major running hole for our running backs, so lets stop saying Dixon is the answer to our running game when the entire offensive line has to get together with the RB's to make it successful. As Yanda and Forsett have said, they are close to putting it all together. Last year the media kept harping on Perriman's injury as if he was the answer to the receiving issues. Well, Aiken proved out but unfortunately SSS got hurt. And so will these running backs prove out, once the Offense puts it all together.

Umm did you read what you wrote? Points matters over ToP. ToP is important but its points that win or lose a game if you have enough or lack enough. ToP is all about shorting your opponent offensive opportunities and making things more difficult and trying for defenses by gassing them.

If I'm reading John's article correctly, Gilmore, Williams and Boyle ALL started for the Ravens last year against Jville. Even if their first snap was a three TE set, which I don't know, that's a pretty misleading stat.

You're correct in that I made the false assumption that ToP kinda equates to points and that would be obvious as well. But, I admit I should have spelled it out so it would make it very clear. But, hopefully you got the point I was trying to make.
