2016 Week 3 Other Teams Discussion

Ok so the Texans player pushes the Patriot player in front of the ref and the Patriots players immediately beg for a flag.

Oh what an ironic Hyundai commercial to play right now.

Another TD by the Patriots, so it looks like the Patriots will be 4-0 without Brady after they beat the Bills next week.

Manning excelled in Denver and Indy, even calling his own plays the majority of the time.

Brady has played on a team that went 11-5 with Matt Cassell and very well may got 2-0 with Jimmy G and 2-0 with Jacoby Brisett, so...

Oh, not to mention that Manningless Colts went 2-14.

Disagree, that 11-5 team could have gone at least 13-3 with brady, it was mainly the same core as the 16-0 team from the year before. Bill just gets the best out of any situation is all. Oh yeah texans and AFC south stink news flash.

Can I at least get some garbage time yards for Fuller? TD would be good, too.

I second that, I started him tonight because he was doing so well the first two weeks after I had him on the bench.

Same. Don't care much though - in that league I play a guy who has Texans logo as his avatar. 4 HOU players on the team, too.

I'm surprised that, of all people, Lamar Miller seems to be the big beneficiary of their garbage time plays.

Maybe we should add Bill O'Brien to the list of coaches that could be fired at the end of the year.

As long as Bill Belichick is the Head Coach, the Patriots will win regardless of the quarterback or even if their defense is nowhere near what it was in the early 2000's.

Like I said on the first page, Belicheat could put the corpse of Harambe in at QB and they'd still get wins - especially over the Texans, who they've always owned and that's more to do with coaching. They opened at Vegas as underdogs, which is insanity considering they were at home.

Until Flacco shows up at Foxborough, with half decent defense behind him.

Hell I'm convinced at this point that JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf could suit up for the Patriots and they look like a million bucks and far from the draft busts they actually were.

Osweiler is overpaid, hope to see him catch the same criticism Flacco got. At least Brock demonstrated himself a capable starter for multiple seasons and multiple playoff runs before getting his contract unlike Flacco....

Then they're not Patriots fans. I'm praising their headcoach and culture. I don't even claim, that they didn't deserve to win all those Superbowls, just because they were caught red handed bending the rules. I just state, that Brady ended up in the right system, that made him the QB, that he is. Most so-called "Patriots-fans" aren't actually fans of the New England Patriots. They're just bandwagon Brady homers.

Claiming, that someone who gives Belichick more credit for the Pats wins than Brady (which at this point should be obvious to anyone), is a Patriots hater doesn't make any sense.

Considering that Cassel had thrown like 50 college passes and 39 pro passes with zero starts since high school (that's eight years ago to that point), the fact that he went 11-5 is supremely impressive. Of course you'd expect a better record with Brady considering he'd started, what, the six prior seasons?

But don't discredit that they lost two starting corners and a starting linebacker, so that had to hurt the defense to a degree.

But it isn't just about the record (which is really impressive with these backups); it's the fact that Cassel flamed out in his multiple other chances, Garoppolo didn't miss a single beat against a very strong Arizona team, and Brisset is showing the ability to run the offense.

The bolded kinda makes my point because Bill knows how to craft a system for his quarterbacks to look better than they otherwise would elsewhere.

Oh yeah no doubt he's good, I mean he made tom from 7th rounder to one of the best. And he turns street chumps into champs. But mainly because he forces everyone to work for eachother as a team and no individuals. He made cleveland make the playoffs that should say enough lol. Either way players come and go and I wont give a toss what happens with bradys legacy after retirement

I honestly hope BB keeps coaching after Tom retires so we can stop hearing about him.

I think BB is a sleazy cheater, but he knows how to exploit every single damn team.

there are always a matchup in NFL; we can't beat the Bengals who got spank by the Pats; the Bengals can't beat the Steelers who got swept by the Ravens; the Steelers can't beat the Pats who got spanked by the Ravens..well, of all the Pats just scare to face the Ravens in the post season.....
