[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The offensive line clearly needs a boost and hopefully inserting Urschel at center will do that. The Jags have a very good defense despite their debacle in San Diego. We will need a running game and better protection for Joe or we may be in for a long day in Jacksonville. Thy have big time talent on offense which could severely test our defense. I'm not sure how we win this game but I will be overjoyed if we come out of there with a win.

Score more points than they do ;)

But seriously, take advantage of a QB that throws picks, sack him often, and will be in it for a last quarter win

Joe told Trestman to speed it up and the Ravens came out blasting! This will help this team so we don't have to rush people back to play and they can heal up properly!

Honestly, I'm less concerned about having Doom ready for Jacksonville than I am for Oakland. I'd say, if he's not 100%, don't rush it.

My guess is Doom plays, but not as much as he normally does...probably takes some of the 3rd down snaps Mclellan has gotten so far, but of course all this depends on how his "foot area" responds to practicing this week.

As much as I'd love to see Doom out there, I really appreciate the chance for some younger players to get some valuable game reps. Doom got over worked last season when Suggs went down, so these first few games kinda help keep him fresh for the long season. The current depth also makes this much less of an issue.

Stanley sitting out seems like a precautionary move more than anything, especially if you read his attitude towards playing Sunday.

Jacksonville is a bit of a hard team to read. They have a talented roster on paper, no arguing that. What team shows up on game day is a hit and miss affair. Some weeks they look in sync and run like a well tuned machine. Other weeks they look like a turkey running around without it's head. Prepare and expect their best and do not let them build up momentum and get the fans into it, like in Cleveland.

They are a booby trap for the Ravens. They seem to go into playoff mode for Raven Games. We are 2 wins and 3 losses against them since 2005.
You are right the Ravens need to prepare and expect the jaguars best. Their schedule is only going to get harder and harder but they can't look past the jags.

Can Trestman properly game plan and prepare his offense? That is what I'm worried about. I haven't been sold on him since day one. But I want to be, so Mark, GET HER DONE. And don't just squeak it out. You have the weapons. Put them in a position to dominate.

Well we are only two games into the season...unless you were including preseason when referring to "some weeks"...but yeah they are a little hard to get a read on.
