[News] Elvis Dumervil Could Return This Week

18 posts in this topic

Judon, Pierce, Z are the real deal, and if Henry can get on the field he will be a mini version of Jernigan at this point and time....Judon and Z might nit have gotten a sack, but they sure did lay the lumber on McGowan....

It will be nice to have Doom back but I love that Judon has had the chance to step in for him and get this valuable playing time. He will be a huge player for us in the future and is only getting better.

The defense in general has been very good. This is a tougher, faster defense than last year. The front seven is deep and really good. The play of Pierce, Judon, Urban and Jernigan is exceptional. Getting Dumervil back will probably give us the deepest, strongest and most talented front seven in the NFL. The play of Orr was IMO the unexpected and critical piece of the puzzle to turn this into a top defense.
Getting Dixon back could help but IMO the return of Urschel and his insertion at center will help the entire offensive line. God knows they need some help. Zuttah's play has been uninspiring.
Once the Raven's can generate a run game they will be a really tough team to beat.

Elvis Dumervil could return this week... or he could return next week... or the week after that... who knows. Seems like one of those weekly injury stories like what we had /w Perriman last year, meaning I'd rather just not hear about him until he's actually practicing.

Urschel would look good starting at center.

I like Urschal to play at center as well. Zuttah is not cutting it. I believe he might not be here next year if he doesn't improve his play.

Gotta say I didn't get a good feeling about doom playing after reading what Harbs was quoted as saying (hopefully I'm not wrong)

Don't know how much help Doom will be in the Jac game due to him not practicing very much up to this point. I know he's a vet and all but as we've seen so far with our other vets, you need to practice otherwise, live games become practice. If nothing else, having him in there may take the pressure off of Suggs a little bit. I'm hoping Doom can come back healthy and contribute right away, we need him.

we need a healthy doom so take your time and make sure u r 100%. i like watching the younger guys develop in the meantime. secondary must be on point against the jags because their offense can light it up if we are sleeping

The question is can we survive the year without him playing much, much better or being benched?
