Should Jimmy Smith be benched?

I don't know if he is injured or not, but I gotta admit that he is starting to make me pretty nervous out there. Wright looks great but I freak out everytime they throw Jimmy's way. Also, too many flags are thrown because of him. I say rest him for at least a game and let's look at another one of these DB's.

Care to give any type of evidence, known as stats on how bad he has been?

How many flags has he been called for?

How many times has he been targeted? Catches?

Who is better than him that's not playing?

I understand that he hasn't looked great, but suggesting such things should be backed up with some info, any info in fact.  Especially considering how you stated Wright looks great while everyone else on here has acknowledged is terrible game yesterday.  Its easy to just make things up.

Shareece Wright, CB, Baltimore Ravens (32.0)

The numbers didn’t look too bad for Wright, allowing four-of-eight targets to be caught for 97 yards and a touchdown. However, he was beaten on a few of those incompletions, only to be bailed out by a bad throw. Wright also missed a team-high three tackles versus the Browns.

Valid point.  Even take that away, most of us agree that he had a rough time.  Sidenote, where is a good site to look at CB stats such as thrown at, yards allowed, etc...

I tend to not put too much weight into PFF grades, but Shareece Wright was down right terrible. That grade is justified after watching the game again. I don't know whether McCowns injury affected him that much to prevent his accuracy, but PFF is right when saying his line against should/could have been a lot worse. 2 or arguably 3 of the 4 incomplete passes against him should have went for substantial gains but the accuracy of the throws were off.

No argument there at all, Wright was beat like a redheaded stepchild. I just don't want to be a hypocrite and only reference it when it suits me is all.

This is a discussion board and this is what we do.  But making claims like that you should try to bring some facts and stats to the argument to persuade or make your case.  You haven't even brought up who we would replace him with, while saying another CB has looked great while its a consensus he looked like a dumpster fire yesterday. 

Sidenote, im trying to find stats on CBS, ie thorwn at, yards against, no idea where to though.

I'll try to find you something; it's pretty tough finding those stats. Ironically, PFF is a good source for the numbers.The site I used to go to no longer exists, and the other one I refuse to pay for on principle
