Well, this is interesting....

Ravens top graded players against Browns

RT Ricky Wagner 86.3

TE Dennis Pitta 85.2

S Eric Weddle 84.8

G Marshal Yanda 82.9

I didn't think Wagner played that well.

I thought he played well.  The oline held up.  Zuttah had a subpar game though.

The edge rushers need to be a lot better too.  Suggs still looks very slow but I'm assuming it's the injury and getting back into game shape as he was improved from what we saw last week.  You can also tell ZDS was still feeling the ankle a bit.  He wasn't bad but has to make the open field shot at the sack on McCown.  Judon is a mixed bag but I'll take that from a 5th round rookie.  He can get some pressure but needs to finish.  Although the group as a whole needs some work, it's a good thing that it's more of a consistency issue than a talent issue.  If we can get them going, this could be a really good front 7.  Jernigan is wrecking the interior with pressure, and adding some help on the outside could be scary.

Speaking of which, I don't think I saw Correa on the field? Did you or anyone else?

ST only again, I believe.

I think you're about to find out that there's a HUGE difference between Garappolo and Jacoby Brissett.

Might want to hold off on that "Pats move the ball at will regardless of QB" notion for a few more weeks.

If his 6-9 for 92 yards is any indication, he's Brady 3.0 (Garappolo already claimed 2.0)

smh

It's not all that surprising, though, since he came from Boise State. Those guys just never come pro-ready.

The Bad: 4th Quarter Clock Management - Situational Football (last 2 possessions)

Because our offense didn't capitalize on the momentum during the comeback when we only needed a field goal to take the lead, break their defense and quite the crowd, we decided to be overly aggressive which lead to a needless interception that uplifted their team, ate-up clock and reignited their home fans.

Bad strategic calculation.

When we got the ball on the last offensive drive we decided to be overly cautious. As a result we squandered our last timeout (clock management), passed on 3rd down for an in-completion (stopping the clock for the Browns) and giving Tucker (elite) approximately 3-5 more yards to kick a field goal that is a give-me from another 15 yards.

As a result of this, the last defensive series suffered because of too much time left on the clock and the score. That said, more aggression should have been applied in the early downs. Players fail to make critical tackles and assignments, but with better clock management earlier it most likely doesn't come down to this.

Results: Unnecessary Nail Bitter (Thank the Football Gods for C.J. Mosley int )

Trestman and Pees need to get on the same page. That said, a win is a win.

It was darn close if not out.  Didn't seem like they had a good camera angle which I can't understand.

Its the SYSTEM. Somehow, (insert qb in) Patriots system no matter who is under center, can move the ball at will. Why is that? The System works.

WHAT IS THE RAVENS SYSTEM?

It seems to change every year, but no matter what year it is, its inconsistent.

ARE WE NOT A COPYCAT LEAGUE?

It seems to me, if something works well year after year, and there is plenty of game film on it, why not copy it? Why reinvent the wheel? Do what works, scrap what does not.

How many slants and crosses do the better teams run compared to the Ravens? Tons. Why do they run them? Because it gets the ball out quicker when pressure is in your face to a closer target you can see.

This will seem like a dig at you but i promise you it's NOT!!! But with that said, this isn't Madden Football. You can't just take someone's playbook and expect it to work for you. These coaches spend years trying to perfect their systems. The reason it seems the Ravens system change every year is because they change OCs nearly every year. Now they finally have some continuity and the offense is actually working and people want to run Trestman out of town. I just don't get it.

Bilichek has run that same system for years, the Ravens haven't been as fortunate, because while BB has his hands all over the Pats team, Harbs is the type of guy who delegates the responsibility to his coaches to do what they are hired to do. Last year Harbs put his foot down and basically said whoever replaces Kubes will still have to run the foundation of his offense. So now the Ravens are a WCO offensive type team. They have finally gotten away from the "Ravens Way" of establishing the run no matter what and they are more of an uptempo pass team who wants pass to get the lead and run to secure the win.

Everybody wants the finish product, but nobody wants to go through the process of becoming the best you can be. The more comfortable Flacco gets with the knee, which he looked really good today and the more guys settle into their roles, the more this offense will grow.

Yeah I said he was out when I watched it live, but when they called it a TD, it was hard to overturn.

From the replays I saw, there wasn't enough to overturn it. That aside, it didn't look like he stepped out to me.

This!!  why there isn't a camera pointing down the back line of the endzone makes zero sense to me.

i definitely thought his foot touched the line but since they didn't have a good camera angle, the refs had to go with the call on the field

How about Tavon Young who played a great game, made tackles, and played well in coverage and run support. He also played well on ST

What I really liked about him today : sure tackler. He made at least 2 or 3 tackles  short of the first down and it was 1 on 1 against the receiver. If he misses the tackle the Browns get the first down. Nice closing speed hes fierce I really like him and always liked him

1. Again, these were the kind of ugly games we couldn't win last year. So finding a way to do so this season thus far is a good sign.

2. The cleaner the pocket, the better the decisions Joe makes. We got to find a way to consistently protect him. He's taking way too many shots for my liking.

3. The run game looks to be in shambles. Forsett can't seem to break a tackle to save his life.. and West seems to be just a short yardage back.

4. All week in practice Harbaugh needs to stress the importance of finishing off the QB. Too many missed opportunities for a sack, fumble or deflection. Back breakers!

5. Shareece.... oh Shareece. It's way too easy for a WR to make a play on him. He reminds me of Webb after the knee injuries. Just ways a step behind in coverage... or a step too slow in making a big play.

The list of teams who have 2 wins and 0 losses is a short one.  I guess that is the good after this game, that miraculously the Ravens are on that short list.

That's great. Still need source. Where did this come from. Does NFL have a photo release protocol that releases potentially controversial plays. I would love to have the link, because the broadcast doesn't go deep enough. Where is this source?

6 teams if I'm not mistaken 2 of which are in the AFC North. Others being Denver, Giants, Patriots and Texans. To be joined tonight by either the Vikings or Packers. Still don't expect our ranking to change much just given how tough it was for us to beat the Browns.
