The Good, Bad and Awful week 2 vs Browns.

Why are our speedy Receivers not getting the ball on slants and crosses so they can run for miles after the catch?

Seriously, everytime they get the ball thrown to them, they either have to fight a defender for it, or go to the ground....why cant we lead them on slants and crosses to get in space on the run for big yards?

Typical, people freaking out during the game and now that we got this ugly win through bad referrees and lucky bounces everything is supposed to be just ok ? No, no and no. Run game god awful, we don't have a run game. Pass rush, god awful, we don't have a pass rush. Flacco got better, that's good. Can't wait to get Doom back, seriously we're in bad need of him.. Taunting call was hilarious, should've been probably td ending drive, but I'll take this as a Ravens fan. Either way, win, ugly win but a win.

To come from behind after an abysmal first quarter, and then to hold strong and secure the win with a good enough defensive effort on that final drive says a lot. Yes, you can say it was against the Browns, and many things could've definitely gone much better. But this is exactly the kind of game we would've found multiple ways to lose last year, and this year we held strong, so I'll take the W.

YES. These were the type of games we lost last year. Finding ways to win when we need to. I like the toughness!

Run game is awful

Forsett was dancing too much and never hitting and  West was pretty good. They were down from the start and they couldnt getting it going on the ground i guess.

The good: The rest of the game after their third scoring drive.

The Bad: The first three drives

The Ugly: The Cleveland Browns.... Only they would blow a 20 point lead.

Like I've always said.. THE BROWNS ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO LOSE

Chargers last week?

The good? Joe Flacco, Dennis Pitta, Mike Wallace, Timmy Jernigan, and Michael Pierce. Boy, did Jigg and Pierce dominate today. Pitta looks like his old self, he gets open and just makes plays. We missed him very badly honestly. Wallace looks like a guy who can be in for a big year if no one else emerges outside of Steve Smith Sr. and Breshad. I also have Joe here because if we had Schaub or Mallet we wouldn't have pulled out the win. Also, the guts to comeback down 20-2 and not allow one score since with two takeaways is another good.

Bad? Run game, it needs some major surgery and T.West should be named the starter. We need an upgrade at C and it wouldn't kill us to do it now. Work our way to it now because Zuttah isn't doing it as far as run blocking goes. As a pass blocker he has regressed in that department.

Awful? The entire 1st QTR.

The running game needs some serious work if we want to go anywhere.  Why we keep calling these pitches instead of running north/south is beyond me.

On the awful side, how about those commentators?  They were horrible.

Chris Simms sucked as a QB and is even worse as a commentator

Still playing ten yards away from the defender on 4th and medium is something that I cannot explain

I didn't like that at all.

Good: Weddle, again. The heart of the team.

Bad: Let's be honest. Joe was abysmal.

Ugly: The first quarter. Duh.

Yeah Joe wasn't abysmal by any stretch. We must have watched different games.

I saw some bad throws, just like I always do. I also saw some all-world throws.

i think that was because jimmy was covering coleman, who had a couple of deep catches, and that's the last thing we wanted to give up. BUT, jimmy should have press covered with a safety on top to help. Every time i just laugh when i see 10 yards back on anything and short. It's ridiculous and will never change. If jimmy had made that tackle to keep coleman inbounds, i would have praised him but he didn't make that tackle and put the browns in a position to win.

The good: just heard Flacco say he went to Trestman to get the game plan changed.  Said what they were doing wasn't working and they need to pick it up.

Didn't agree with the call either. But the D still made the play to end the game.

Cleveland was on pace to blow us out and they just stopped producing on offense altogether after the third drive. San Diego at least got FGs after the first half.

they would have had 4 downs to go less than 10 yards for a touchdown. I do not have enough confidence in out defense to think we would have stopped them. Do you?

LOL, they're not getting 4 shots. They had I believe around like 13 seconds left. They're getting 3 shots if they're efficient, maybe only 1 or 2.

I certainly had confidence. We stopped them for three quarters straight. Frankly, the only way they were scoring on us was getting like 50+ yard plays on us.

Good: Our WR Core. We are absolutely loaded with quality receiving options. SSS, Wallace, Moore, Perriman, Pitta, Gilmore, etc.

Good: #InTuckerWeTrust

Good: D-Line absolutely destroyed McCown all day. They did their job, but coverage were terrible

Bad: O-Line, Flacco was getting hit all day. Can not have that especially with Brownies going for his knees

Bad: RB's, Wow they were bad. West put together some solid runs near the end, but Forsett is REALLY struggling right now. Oh where art thou KD?

Awful: Secondary: Torched all day by some sub tier receivers. If Coleman, Pryor, and Hawkins can burn us, what will AJ Green and Antonio Brown do?

they would have aimed for endzone every single time. maybe 4 is pushing it, but they could have definitely gotten 3 chances. Also, that last drive, defense was getting no pass rush whatsoever on mccown so no, i KNEW we would give up a TD because that's just the kind of team we are right now, and unless i see otherwise in a few games, i will continue to believe it. Our defense is not so dominant as everyone here seems to believe

I don't believe the ref threw a taunting call in there for no reason...something was said that made it fall into that category. Good thing too as that drive was not going to end well for us. I agree though on the run game and pass rush...those two areas really need some improvement.

The Good: As fantastic as Wallace has been - it is tempting to answer him ... but I'm going with Pitta. I can't say that he's back to form or anything, but he does appear to be a wonderfully reliable option and a key chain mover. Given that we all questioned whether he could ever play again, to see him have this kind of impact ... I'd call that "Good"

The Bad: The run game, in general. We had a few successful runs going to down the stretch, but they were few. The norm was a whole lotta nothing. I'm hoping we don't fall into the same kind of rushing malaise that we experienced a few years ago.

The Ugly: The first quarter. Every aspect of the offense and defense were just an embarrassment. I just don't know how that can happen, but we're not getting away with that nonsense against 90% of the  teams in the NFL.
