Clarence Brooks has passed away

Horrible news. As someone who lost their mother to cancer last year, I know the pain the Brooks family is going through. My heart goes out to them. Rest in peace CB. You will be missed.

Cancer is the great Satan imo. It has taken away countless treasured lives that had yet to give so much to this world. So many it is hard to keep a head count. Now we can all add another great soul, courageous soul Clarence Brooks to that unfortunate list. May God take care of the rest of humanity and anyone that is afflicted with this terrible disease. Mankind needs to fight this disease hard and find a cure. A final cure so families are never torn apart brutally and abruptly by Cancer.

Man this one hurts. He was one of the most influenceable coach on the Ravens organization for quite some time. The Ravens have the best run defense since he got here. He was a father figure for a lot of these young men coming out of college and sometimes some of them grew up with no father at all. He was a great coach but looks like he was even a greater person. My thoughts are with his family. I believe the defense will come out on FIRE for this one.

This sucks that means we gotta enjoy every moments of our life this can happen to anybody he was only 60ish yo.

Ugh. It's weird being used to having somebody around the team for so long and suddenly they're gone. Never got the due he deserved unfortunately but the people around him know how good he was. He's made so many careers... RIP Coach.

Wow. This one really hurts for some reason. I always really really liked Brooks. He's not a player but I thought he was special and had a huge impact for us. I always heard good things about him. This is a sad loss not for football but for these young men of whom benefitted from his guidance. He'll be missed greatly.

I wonder if Steve Bisciotti is making arranagements for the Ravens team members and staff to go to CB's funeral in Florida. I think CB has earned that kind of respect from the Baltimore Ravens. I hope they cover CB's passing the same way they covered Tray's. Although Tray's demise hurt a lot considering he was so young and had so much potential, CB's hurts too because he impacted so many in so many different ways. Hope they do the right thing.

That's a nice thought. Not sure how feasible it would be considering it's in season for the team & staff and also depending on the arrangements, but I'm sure they will do something. No doubt he deserves it.
