What they see in Bob that we fans don't see?

31th ranked defense?

Rex is way way better than Bob as DC; well, the Redskins are just being the DeadSkins....

49ers are willing to wait on Falcons OC Kyle Shanahan and will offer him the Head Coaching Job as soon as the Falcons season ends. A second interview following the NFC Title Game is also in the books.

‪49ers plan to offer their HC job to Falcons' OC Kyle Shanahan whenever Atlanta’s season ends, sources tell ESPN. Willing to wait for him.‬

I wonder if he will bring his dad back in some capacity or if he will choose to do it himself.

We've agreed with Rick Dennison to be our offensive coordinator. pic.twitter.com/6XAjImwdtD

I wonder who is going to call the plays?  Dennison never did that under Kubiak.

I'm assuming Dennison will, Sean McDermott was a defensive coordinator for the Panthers so he won't call plays.

The 49ers have found a General Manager. While they are waiting on Kyle Shanahan, it is being reported that Vikings Executive George Paton is expected to be named the new 49ers GM. Ian Rapport also says that he is also going to meet with Shanahan and if the meeting goes well, all will be in place for him to be the GM.

Something tells me Jim Irsay was able to convince Peyton Manning to take over Football Operations for the Colts. The Colts have relieved General Manager Ryan Grigson of his duties.

‪Colts have relieved GM Ryan Grigson of his duties, league source tells ESPN.‬

Update: Ian Rapoport says it is believed that Head Coach Chuck Pagano is safe but Jim Irsay will have more to say at 5:30p.m.

Listening to the Jim Irsay press conference now, he did confirm Chuck Pagano will be the Colts Head Coach in 2017 and hopes Pagano will be the coach for years to come.

Then why asked Gruden for the Job when Chuck is still employed? lol

He said he never reached out to Gruden about the Head Coaching job, but more so advice of building the team and asking what he sees. Says he talked to several people in regards to his team.

Took long enough.  Gregson has served that team back years with bad drafts and the Trent trade.

Ryan Grigson is out as general manager of the Colts after five years. (AP)

Well here’s a somewhat surprising one for a mid-January afternoon: via multiple reports, the Indianapolis Colts have fired general manager Ryan Grigson.

It’s another odd decision by owner Jim Irsay, who waited until a disappointing regular season for the Colts had been over for three weeks before making the move, and just days before league personnel executives, scouts and coaches will descend on Mobile, Ala. for the Senior Bowl.

Irsay may have bungled things for the second straight year. After the 2015 season, amid multiple reports of turmoil between Grigson and head coach Chuck Pagano, who were both hired in 2012, not only did Irsay decide to keep the pair, he tied them to one another for even longer, awarding both with four-year extensions.

See,,Colts are taking risks! Why couldn't the Ravens do the same? Like Firing Haubaugh and Dean Pees.

It is confirmed that Shanahan will be 49ers' next coach and he will participate heavily into hiring a new GM.

We will see how will he handle the team as a HC; there's no doubt he is a good OC....

PS: not easy to run the team.....

Isn't that against NFL rules? Won't it cost 49ers a draft pick for tampering?

Yeah. While you can interview coaches that are with teams still active in the playoffs you can't hire them until that team is completely done for the season (either losing in the playoffs or winning the Super Bowl). I'm not sure how the 49ers are getting away with this, unless they found some technicality.

Technically, reading the article it says Dan Quinn has announced to the Falcons coaches that he was going to be their next Head Coach. There hasn't been a formal announcement which can't be done until after the Super Bowl. Schefter says per the rules 49ers must wait until Friday to conduct their second interview(per the request of the Falcons).
