Jaguars have named Doug Marrone Interim Head Coach for the final two games of the season. Also it is being reported they want to talk to Tom Coughlin.

Sorry he's too old to coach the Jags, I would fear for his health!---

Marcell Dareus didn't waste time talking about Rex. Dareus was quoted as saying Rex's scheme was "too complicated".

Obviously he  expected 'smart' players smh!

Never mind Coughlin, I fear for Marrone's health.

Yep, that was pretty stupid comment by Dareus.

The catty mean part of me says good he can kick Denver like he did to us but the rational RN side of me says he had the very scary TIA on the side lines when he coached for the Texan, then a 'Complex Migraine' with the Broncos He was 'tired and lethargic' -after the game

Both of these conditions are scary neurological events in a relatively young-55 yo man.  I bet he wants to talk stuff over with his family and find something less stressful like QB coach or OC

I don't know what the 49ers reasonably expected.

Probably NFL, rather than college calibre HC.

They're a dysfunctional team that had a revolving door at quarterback and replacement level players at several positions.

I mean, even the Browns are willing to give Jackson more than one season.

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell is interested in Patriots OC Josh McDaniels for the Head Coach vacancy.

I hope that McDaniel's absence could finally slow down the NE machine.

Of course, he's left before and I don't remember if it had much of an impact on the Pats offense.

Sounds like you can have your cake and eat it too. He can disappoint Denver and make a good health decision.

Bonus (or maybe brownie) points: he can come back a relaxing job with Baltmore.

Yeah 49ers are a mess and it starts at the top. Baalke should be gone but Kelly is a bit of a surprise. Guess they are giving the new GM a chance to pick their coach.

I still think Kelly has a shot in the NFL as an offensive mind, but not sure his ego will allow him to just coordinate. I thought he could have done well in SF if he was just given a chance and no free reign over personnel.

Monday is going to be interesting.

Low drama from Baltimore.  I predict it.

Or should I say, more than a few disappointed fans.

Well put.

I think we'll keep our DC but move on from Marty.

It'll be interesting to see how crazy things get around the league though - I feel like a lot of teams that have known they wanted to replace their staff for a while have already made their moves earlier than the traditional Black Monday (in the interests of supposedly getting a head start) and that trend will continue in the coming yeas, so if I had to guess I'd say it'll be more subdued than previous years gone by.

I think we keep both D.C. and O.C. if I am being honest.

Unless miracle of all miracles and Kubes is willing to come back. (which ain't gonna happen)

If we keep them, then I don't see us doing anything different than the also rans we've been.

Rumors say Kubes is resigning from the HC position in Denver. Done with football or just doesn't want to be a HC?

Some late news:

- 49ers GM Trent Baalke has been told he will be fired tomorrow. He also apparently blocked the hiring of Adam Gase in 2015.

- Apparently Gus Bradley will follow current Bills Interim HC wherever. Since signs point to Lynn remaining in Buffalo, Bradley may end up the new DC in Buffalo.

- Kubiak is expected to give his resignation

- A surprise firing may come in Houston. Rotoworld says that Bill O'Brien and the Texans may agree to part ways.

- Jim Irsay is not happy with the team's performance as GM Ryan Grigson may be fired while Pagano stays.

Interesting developments out of Cleveland. Apparently Browns coaches are going to talk to own Jimmy Haslam about making some front office changes as the coaching staff is "deeply concerned" with the direction of the personnel department. It seems the coaches want a change to the flow chart, a proven old school talent evaluator involved in player selection.
