rex ryan has lost his touch on defense.

I think his brother should take a lot of the blame. He's the most overrated defensive coach in the league.

flacco isnt as accurate or changes reads as well as fitzpatrick. flacco is a game manager who occasionaly goes for a big bomb

Watching this game just makes me think Ravens were worried about oline holding up or were just really trying to protect flacco since his mobility isn't back yet

I would agree but it's weird because his first season with saints, they were ranked the 4th defense. Also, even before this season, bills defense with so much talent was just average so rex is at fault too

The only thing this game has shown me is we need a more aggressive OC. You see the Jets going downfield and taking chances on big plays, while we don't go deep enough with just as talented WRs as the Jets if not more talented. That's what you see, it's not the difference in the QB but the difference in the aggressiveness of the OCs.

Week-by-week, team-to-team football math doesn't really mean much. By that same logic you could say our defense allowed far less yds and points so we have a better defense.

Week 1 games are typically pretty cagey, penalty filled, and sloppy. Plus our full offensive unit (Flacco, SSS, Perriman, Pitta) didn't play a single snap together in the preseason, not to mention it was Joe's first real game since the ACL.

We have so many weapons it's hard to imagine tbe offense not having a big year. Browns/Jags games are a perfect opportunity to let loose on offense and really figure out our identity on that side of the ball.

Yeah, that logic doesn't really hold up because so much changes week to week in terms of strategy, match-ups and situations (I think the Rams are going to prove that pretty decisively against the Seahawks this week). Which makes it kinda funny that most of this 10-page thread has been about said discussion.

I knew he was going to be a good pick up.  Been solid his first 2 games for me

Fitzpatrick is terrible man. He can't even be a game manager for the Jets without blowing their season for them. Also it is pretty telling when the Texans of all teams gets rid of you. I mean come on, Fitzpatrick isn't going to win a thing in his career. There is a reason the Jets took forever to resign the guy.

Brandon Marshall is, though. And so is Matt Forte.

Agree with this fully.

we have so many guys knocking off rust from serious injuries. Not to mention Joe has never been great against a Rex Ryan defense so I'll give a pass. Especially since we won.

he was awesome last year.

Whos to say flacco would have made it on another team? our D carried him for years. He never made our offence great even though he had a very good o line for most early years.
