Hey man come on now... what are you doing to an already anxious lot? I think he'll be fine and I suspect it is a mild calf strain which will be just fine.

Was his knee injury just dat to day? I'd not be surprised if he missed the rest of the year, and equally, wouldn't be surprised if he was back for the browns.

With John Harbaugh as coach you don't get any truth.

lol, this thread really went places, a real roller-coaster of emotions

Just glad it's a minor calf issue and not his knee. I am relieved. The only downside is that this keeps him out of practice, which is where you earn your playing time and develop a rapport with your QB.

Dumervil had a "minor" setback and looks to miss the first quarter of the season. I think our coaches throw around the word minor as loosely as everyone uses the word elite these days.

Thank you for the tweet! I would rather know even at the risk of looking ridiculous!

True, but I for one am tired of seeing his name on any injury report.

It was stated back around the 3rd preseason game. When he began practicing then had to stop.

Dumervil, K. Dixon and Z. Smith  non participants today.

Yanda and Suggs didn't practice today but considered a vet day off.

I think I didnt express what I was trying to say in the best way. What I was trying to imply was Doom said he had a "minor" set back but hasnt practiced in several weeks. Perriman had a minor calf injury and at the time we had no timetable for his return.

Nevertheless, I am glad that he is healthy and back on the field today.

I see. I thought this was recent news about Doom.

The thing about Perriman is he has raised our anticipation and expectation levels to new heights. We know he can be absolutely awesome just given his size and speed. And after watching that catch on the sideline, I truly believe he could be a devastating weapon and offensive force in the Julio Jones category. He is a nice kid, humble and soft spoken and therefore well liked. I think this attention on Perriman is warranted because we care!

lol i love the panic by everyone...

not too long ago most were projecting him missing the first 6 weeks or so. now, hes gonna miss the game.

i bet he practices tomorrow, and plays this weekend.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Well, so far at least. TBD that he plays this weekend, but he will.

Jamison Hensley just tweeted: "Breshad Perriman felt a little uncomfortable at the beginning of practice. Ate Spaghetti-O's 30 mins before practice and experienced a tummy ache"

Ravens fans: "OMG.... Perriman's done for the year! Yea I know stomach aches are nothing and most people feel better in a matter of minutes, a couple hours at most.... BUT THIS IS BRESHAD PERRIMAN. He once had an injury take longer than originally expected which means this will definitely take at least a year!"

Chaos commences. Sky falls.

I like the fact that Perriman is putting in extra work after each practice.  This is not the first time I've read that he stays after to get more practice on the JUGS machine. One of Perriman's pre-draft concerns was dropped passes.  Gotta give him credit for working harder to be better in that area of his game.

Quote

He was one of the last players off the field after practice, spending about an extra 30 minutes on the JUGS machine catching passes.

True, I like that. He dropped a couple of catch-able balls in the two games he's played, glad to hear he's putting in the extra work.

This is one of the things that I really thought was a bonus when we drafted him, and why i think he's going to be a really good professional player.

His dad was a pro. And not one that got by on size/athleticism. He had speed but was a guy that had to really perfect the craft and excel with route running, the nuances of the position, how to create space, and have sure hands to maintain success.

Having a dad who's been there, done that... Perriman has someone in his ear to consistently tell him what he needs to be doing beyond showing up and using his God given talents. The things to do behind the scenes that go above and beyond what most do. And he's got that benchmark in his mind of what success in the NFL is.

His dad was a solid veteran receiver for several years. So, I imagine in Breshad's mind thats the bare minimum of what he considers acceptable for himself. Thats just what the Perriman boy is supposed to do waking up in the morning. To really be a success, hes got to surpass that. And i think it will drive him - i know it was only one catch, but it was a catch i dont think any other receiver that we've drafted could make... especially not this early on. We've just never had someone, drafted that is, with the speed, size, and strength to run with someone like Gillmore, outleap him, and then snatch the ball away from his body like that.

In fact, now that I think about it - that throw/catch is very similar to the interception Joe threw in the NE game in '14 to end it... difference is Torrey didnt track the ball, gave up on catching it and barely tried to break it up and Breshad knew it was his, went and got it.

This boy is for real.

We're all just so paranoid with Perriman and his injuries. He'll probably be on the injury report a lot more throughout the season. Like any other player. Miss a few practices ect.

I'm pretty sure he will be feeling better by the time Sunday rolls around. I'm not a doctor but if its considered a minor calf injury and he returns the next day and says he feels good than I really think he'll be fine for Sunday.
