Schefter just tweeted "a slight setback: Ravens WR Breshad Perriman, who didn't practice today, is now dealing with a minor calf issue"

Yeah, just got the ESPN alert... I'm not concerned, unless he doesn't practice all week. I can see him missing a game. Sigh...

Hey, if it's only a minor calf injury and not the ACL, that's fine with me.

Ha yeah I agree - I can't really tell if this is good or bad news lol.

If it's a minor calf injury then I guess that means he lost his calf and needs a new one knowing his history lol. I kid.  I'm glad it's not another ligament issue.

Yeah. I would assume it's a grade one(if it was sustained from the fall after his spectacular catch) since he could move it normally. Would not surprise me if this was precautionary

I think this is unlikely.

If it were an Achilles, they would've said it's an Achilles. An Achilles isn't minor

well even if its grade 1 calf issue thats still a couple of weeks out.

this isnt the kind of guy that can play through these kind of things.

Could just be fatigue from his first real action or as simple as getting a kick to the calf.  Sky doesn't have to fall for everything

If it's ''soreness'' I suggest he doesnt play for another 3 weeks. means his ACL isnt probably 100% healed.

Don't you think the doctors did a MRI scan before allowing him to play?

Any leg injury that he may have wouldn't surprise me.  All the time spent rehabbing his knee, was time lost actually building up his legs.

I got kicked in the calf when I was playing football.  I immediately dropped to my knees and I was out for almost 10 days.

I'd agree with this but he played more/saw more action, in the 4th preseason game.

Well this has been an interesting thread.  It still amazes me how people can't wait for a little bit of clarity before declaring the end of the world.

Minor calf injury sounds like he'll be out there soon.  It's a long season and there's no need to rush anyone back especially in week 2, especially with his history, especially with the wide receiver depth the Ravens have.

It's just the way this team handles reports/news of injuries that is maddening.

I'm glad they don't say much anymore. The fanbase can't seem to handle any poor news these days. I mean, here we are...

Just like draft picks are a bust in preseason

His legs aren't in football shape, they're in rehab shape.

I'm guessing that's why they took him out early vs the saints and had a tight snap count vs the bills. There's no muscle memory because he hasn't taken reps like everyone else, his muscles aren't twitchy and reactive like they should be and instead they are tighter and stiffer from being rehabbed and not being worked through typical football motions enough.

This is what happens when guys aren't in football shape. I say take it week by week, when he's feeling good let him play on a snap count, let him gradually work his way into football shape.

Proper management of rest and reps will have him healthy, fresh legged, and in football shape come late season when we may really need a push.

Oh noes, Perriman might miss a game, vs. the vaunted Cleveland Browns! Just put Flacco on IR Right now. The season is over.

Yes it will. But that post was 100% sarcasm. I'm down for some Myles Garret but doubt we will be in position to get him

But that was to accentuate that this fanbase overreacts to everything. It's a minor calf injury.

I'd hate to see what happens on a road trip and they accidentally get off at the wrong exit
