Flacco's TD pass to Wallace was an audible.

Every time Joe seems to take the reigns good things happen. If he calls the pass play he trusts in himself and Crap gets done. After firing Cam he arguably had the most control he ever had over the play calling, and he went on an historic playoff run. I love it. Go Joe.

Joe has taken the reins for a long time now. He's given the latitude to change plays through audibles for a long time now. He needs to audible more than he does, but he is the type of guy that believes in people, his offensive coaches and his receivers and players around him to do the right things. So, unless he sees something so obvious, he tends to stick with the calls from the sideline.

I also think the longer he is in an offense he audibles more. After he was with Cameron for a few years he started to audible a lot more in 2011 and 2012 seasons. Now he has the same offensive coordinator as the year prior first time since then and you can see he is starting to settle in on the offense a lot more. Which makes sense if you are changing systems every year it is hard to study both the offense and all the audibles especially if you hesitate on calling them because you have only been in the system for x amount of months.

I love Joe's honesty about the offensive game play during his interview.

"Listen, I think we (offense) did a lot of good things, but sometimes we find ways to make it tough on ourselves and play games like this; where you are squeaking out wins and everybody is sitting at home (we fans) on the edge of their seats the whole entire game!  It'd be great to throw for 180 yards in the first half and be up by 3 scores and not by whatever we were.  And uh, let them hang around and hang around and have to win the game in the last couple of minutes.  Those are always really tough situations at the end of the game there....."

Going out on a limb here; I hope that we see more of what Joe mentions here from the Ravens offense on Sunday in Cleveland.  Open that offense up Joe!
