[News] Dennis Pitta Feels Like He Hasn't Missed A Beat

12 posts in this topic

Every week our wounded warriors can play, contribute and not re-injure themselves is a huge positive for the Ravens. We had so many go down last year that I let out a huge sigh of relief after yesterday's game. Stay Healthy Ravens

Nice to see Dennis back... I'm betting by the time we hit the tough part of our schedule he will be a real asset to the offense.

Nice to see him make a few grabs but what about the pass blocking? He wanted no part of any contact. You can say the OL was shaky but he was part of it. All the TE's can catch the ball but watch Maxx Williams block...he should have had the majority of the snaps.

Several points:

1. It was an exciting (read that as nerve-wracking) game to watch. My emotions ran the gamut between; 1) fear that, like 2015, SOMETHING bad would happen; and a growing confidence that the team finally figured out how to win!

2.  Like his buddy, Pitta showed little emotion and just did his job!

3. "Tough as a $2 steak..." I loved it!

4. Who was this offense that took over the ball with less than 6 minutes to go...

...AND NEVER GAVE IT BACK!!!!!!

Did Maxx Williams get any reps?

Yes, a few. One of the critical plays Maxx Williams made was a key block, allowing Justin Forsett to gain enough yards at the end of the game on the final drive. Setting up the 1 yard First down run by Terrence West, which we subsequently ran down the clock to get the W. Great block by Maxx, great run play by Justin.

Way to go Dennis! Having Dennis back helps the Ravens big time inside the 10 yd line now! Like u said before he can catch Joe's bullets! WE HOT!

It was a nice touch to see Pitta on the field holding up without physically breaking down. He made some good catches too. Wish him well even though I think he is taking a huge risk with his health by playing. Fingers crossed.

Just to see him out there with the guys again is enough for me. I'm sure as the season goes, he'll be a bigger factor in our offense.
