Kamalei Correa - thoughts

Well, things are a whole lot different now, since I didn't look at this until After the whole season. I didn't like either the 2nd Or 3rd  pick. Of course, Kafusi gets a pass since he was injured, but not the same for Correa. Let's be honest, how many of us had even heard of both of these guys? I agree with the poster that said your 2nd rounder should play, if not start. Especially a high 2nd rounder, although I do realize that Ozzie traded back yet again. Correa hardly touched the field the whole season. With the extremely unfortunate retiring of Orr, maybe Correa will have a better shot next year, but I don't see him taking that starting job. I'll be surprised if he winds up being even a quality backup. Ozzie just Has to start hitting on our top draft choices. Of course, I do love Stanley. But, the 6th pick, of course we All should.

I  think fans have to realize that not every rookie drafted high or low in any of the first three rounds of the draft  are going to start. Correa did play but mostly on special teams. It's not like the guy was on the inactive list the entire season and didn't do anything.  4 tackles, 1 force fumble, and a pass deflection  doesn't equal a guy that did nothing.Jimmy Smith, Brandon Williams, Kyle Juszczyk and etc all didn't do much in their rookie season and they now are one of the better players on The Ravens team. I understand expectations and maybe Correa didn't meet those standards but rookies are called rookies for a reason and the way college football is set up it should be understandable for most rookies to take their time to get adjusted to The NFL. The Vikings first round receiver Laquon Treadwell whom at one point was regarded as a first pick in the first round of the  2016 NFL draft barely saw the field and contributed anything for The Vikings so I guess that means his fate is sealed and  he won't be a great player in The NFl?
