Week 1 CBS Ravens Broadcast.

What was exactly wrong with CBS this week?

I wasn't too impressed with CBS' broadcast of the Ravens game, late in the 3rd quarter, me and my parents missed a portion of the game when the live feed suddenly cut out, then a commercial of some sort froze on the screen then a "technical difficulties" graphic was shown, then the live feed came back with Ravens offense on the field with a first down apparently just made but we didn't see how the Ravens made the 1st down.

Also the commentators, Justin Tucker was called "Justin Kicker" and Dennis Pitta was called "Denna Pitta."

I think they're just working out the kinks of the new graphics and scoreboard and transitions, etc.

As for the commentators, Spero Dedes and Solomon Wilcots is only CBS' fifth pairing. Can't expect flawless commentating from that.

I've come to the conclusion that NFL commentators aren't SUPPOSE to be good. They're meant to be aids for out of market viewers who really don't care enough about the teams to think about whether the commentators are actually making correct assessments.

Although today's CBS game lost transmission for a minute, I find them to be far superior to FOX for the most part. FOX will go through solid quarters broadcasting in standard definition (I hate this so much), garbled audio, static-y audio (very frequent problem), or just total failure in audio/visual function for a few minutes. Plus, they have the duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aiken, which is arguably the most boring pair of commentators in all of sports broadcasting.

The game feed did break for few minutes on my DirecTV feed. At first I thought it was due to a few clouds, but when I checked the game mix it was only the Ravens game. I mean technical difficulties happen occasionally.

Lol yeah I heard the Denna Pitta twice in the same drive but hey I'll take a few wrong names over Sunday Football when Collinsworth just praises whomever the Ravens is against for at least 80% of the game.

Solomon wilcots.

He sucks. He's a former NFL player with no football knowledge whatsoever but he speaks as if everything he says is concrete fact.

The mistake that actually bugged me was at the beginning of the game, when they said the Bills defensive lineup and they said Corey Graham one a championship with the Ravens his rookie year. Lol.

I said to myself now how in the heck did he write that in his game notes. I mean just ignore the first 5 years of the Graham's career lol.

Yeah I'm really getting sick of having this duo of commentators. I feel like we've had them for the past 3 season openers. Spero dedes totally butchered Breshad's name and said Yanda was a tackle. I hope we don't have this group every week.
