I think this game we start to see the pass rush really shine since they don't have to account for a qbs mobility.  Could also be Pitta's coming out party.  The passing game should be in full effect considering their secondary is awful and the speed we have.

Man, after watching the Browns game from the weekend I think this one is going to be painfully low-scoring.

Offensively the right side of our OL needs to do a hell of a lot better than the Bills game. And I'm not convinced they will. Yanda will rebound if he isn't carrying an injury, but I'm not getting my hopes up for Zuttah. Wagner's an x-factor, but Carl Nassib looked pretty good even if he didn't make any big splash plays so that could be a tough battle for us as well. Granted we're not 2013 levels of bad, but I don't think we'll get enough push to eke out that 3.5-4.0ypc that you'd like in an away game. I'm not sure we'll have the time to go deep on every play either, so making those short and intermediate passes count will probably make or break our game. The Eagles found some success with underneath and clearout plays, and I think that's how we'll get most of our success in moving the chains - with the usual road issues (miscues and crowd noise and the like) being kind of a nuisance. But coming away with seven in the red zone will no doubt be a problem, so I'll be pleasantly surprised if we put 30 on these guys.

Defensively I think Jimmy will more or less lock down Terrelle Pryor or whoever takes him on in any given play. And I wouldn't be surprised if we spent more time putting one man on Coleman for the deep routes, then stuffing the box and sitting on short routes like we did against the Dolphins a couple of years ago. Pees showed he's willing to change things up against the Bills, and I really hope that continues here. We've had issues with McCown, but our secondary has never been this healthy and their OL looks beatable. If we can shut down Barnidge and Pryor (I'm not worried about the latter, but the former could pose more than a few problems) I think they'll seriously struggle to put up points. Hence a low-scoring game on both sides, where one big play or one muffed punt could be the difference.

Now watch us win a 42-41 shootout where neither side can get off the field. ^_^

The bills defense is a way bigger challenge than the browns. I'm in the group that thinks it will be a close game, but I don't see a defensive struggle at all. We both have weapons, we have some question marks still on defense, they have a pretty bad looking defense right now, and we both have the weapons to score on any play. I see us scoring around 26-29 and Cleveland 20-24

This will be the game board followers have clamored for...the Ravens will run, run, run the rock, and let Cleveland and McCown stay in it. SMH

I can't tell you how much I love this lololol.

People just don't get that you can only run the ball if it WORKS. it worked for us early against the bills and stopped working by halftime.

One thing I can't stand is the ravens have no killer instinct. Or should I say harbs dont. He will run run run until he can't no more and burn time but we are always one score or so away from either winning or losing because he refuses to keep his foot on the gas and bury his opponents for whatever reason. Its been a passing league for quite some time now but he still has the run first pass later mentality. We have the offensive weapons to actually utilize our pass game but he just won't. As bad as I hate the patriots and steelers I have to say they have the killer instinct and they are definitely not afraid to run up the score and crush there opponents throats. We have way to many close games because of this. We always wana run in the red zone and we always wana burn the clock up. That's the only reason I can see that we dont ever blow anybody out. Last time we were aggressive we won the Superbowl. We weren't afraid to pass the ball.

Can't be worst than that MNF 49ers v Rams game.

I came on to post that exact thing. That Rams game was an absolute joke.

I just want Flacco to have success on the road and make sure we are 2-0 come Monday. I don't expect the same suffocating defense we had against the Bills, but I do expect the turnover margin to be in our favor. My prediction 23-13 Ravens.

We showed killer instinct on Sunday. In fact, it was the first time I remember us showing any in a few seasons. Trestman's playcalling might have been a little suspect in the second half, but he killed the Bills on that final drive.

I'm glad Perriman is back at practice... I can see him getting his first TD on Sunday :)

Back shoulder one handed catch in triple coverage mid flip after running full speed 60 yards downfield.

What? He has to outdo his last catch somehow

He then lands on his knee, and the entire fan base has another heart attack

You forgot the part where he sprouts wings and burns "Joe Flacco is elite" into the field with fire breath.

Seems plausible.

Hue Jackson PWNS the Ravens on a yearly basis, add Josh McCROWN and we have a problem. This'll be a big game for our defense.

I'm predicting a breakout game for Za'Darius Smith. He was questionable coming into the Bills game and I don't know if he was 100%, he also missed plenty of time prior to the game. I think he'll do much better this time around. I also think Matt Judon has a good game.

I think Z missed practice today, so I'm not sure if he's really ready.  Hopefully Correa, Carter and Judon can hold the fort down.

When it comes to the match-up vs the Browns, where do you feel we have the advantage/disadvantage?

Clearly our WR crew is better than their secondary. That's the biggest mismatch for me.

Z hasn't practiced yet this week. If he doesn't practice tomorrow, I doubt he plays.

But that is an opportunity for Judon and Correa to shine and Bruce Carter showed he can be pretty effective coming off the edge too. So, these 3 alongwith Suggs can hold down the OLB position for the Browns game till we get Z and Doom back.

West is gonna turn boo's into the sound of crickets when he runs wild on cleveland. He will rush for over 80 yards and 2 TDs. I also expect Moore to catch some people off guard if he's active. Hard to say if they will go with buck this week instead or choose to deactivate someone else. I know Harbs isn't comfortable with only 2 rbs active. Also since powers is bavk healthy do we activate him or roll with the young buck tavon again ? I was shocked not to see Davis last week.

Was thinking the same regarding West.

I think we see at least two chunk runs of 15 or more.

That's odd. All you have to do is cheer for the Denver Broncos.

I'm excited for our offense's coming out party this week.

Man, I love our Ravens but I just don't see this offense the way that you do.  I think that we still have question marks there.  And to be honest Joey, with all of these so-called, "weapons" we have, I have yet to really see any explosiveness from them.  It stalls too much for me!  It goes 3 & out too much for me!  It rarely scores TD's in the redzone.  Sure, it was just one game out of a 16 game season but my issue is that it looks all too familiar to what I've seen from it in the past.  I just don't feel it like you or others do!

True!  And with that being the case Joey, why couldn't all of these offensive "weapons" as you mentioned take over this game through the air and score more than 13 pts?  Again, I get all of the defensive battle and match up talk and the this was one game talk and the offense has to gel together talk but these boys just don't do it for me man!  I am never confident like you or most in here that they can go in there and get the job done until they have done so!  Not trying to be critical just stating where I'm at concern this offense.

My thoughts about all of this as well BR732.

We are 6.5 point road-favorites. I hate it when we're big road favorites, seems like we disappoint far too often in that position. I'm thinking of Oakland last year and the Jaguars on MNF a few years before that.

Sooo you're saying I should drop forsett and pick up and start west on my fantasy team?

Two questions I have: 1. Will the OL improve protection this week? 2. Will a serious run game show up? Neither were of the quality needed to make a run to challenge for AFC North title. Last week was the first game so there is time but I will be watching those areas. Included is effective Run Game blocking and TE blocking for both run and passing.
